Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver

Vancouver, Canada

The hotel

Those who know the Shangri-La name often refuse to stay anywhere else — and it’s clear why when you check in to its Vancouver edition and step into your glamourous room, with its latte and champagne-gold shades, floor-to-ceiling windows, and Asian accents. Encircled by Downtown, Coal Harbour and West End, Shangri-La Vancouver calls some of the city’s finest drinking and dining establishments neighbours. But it holds its own with MARKET by Jean-Georges, whose elegant menus are led by the Michelin three star chef. As you feast on dishes like Black Truffle Pizza and Soy-Glazed Beef Short Ribs, you can gaze at downtown Vancouver from its heated terrace or through its full-height windows. Self-indulgence isn’t the same as over-indulgence though, and they nurture you at CHI, The Spa; their outdoor pool and whirlpool; and Ginger Juice Bar, with its healthy blends and bites.

Great location. Friendly staff, spacious well appointed room. Concierge helped us get a reservation when the restaurant turned down our initial request. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Service is beyond belief and over and above! From the cookies to the concierge to the perfect beds... massive rooms, extra large televisions. Pool, gym and spa. Loved it and perfectly presented. Thank you!

We had a delayed flight and unfortunately did not get in until around 2:00 am, but hotel staff were prepared for our arrival and promptly look our luggage and walked us to our room. My favorite part of the room was the beautiful and spacious bathroom! They had a nice outdoor pool and Jacuzzi and also a beautiful gym/yoga studio. We certainly made good use of these amenities during our stay. We had breakfast at their Jean-Georges restaurant downstairs, which was also very good. High price tag, but would also consider staying here again during my next time in Vancouver. Read less

Stayed here two times last year because I was so impressed. So I decided to stay again this year. Got a room upgrade and it had a very nice view with two balconies. Upon arrival, there were fruit and cookies waiting for me. I had a Golden Circle (their loyalty program) voucher to use. Since the restaurant was closed for renovations, I used it… Read more
Stayed here two times last year because I was so impressed. So I decided to stay again this year. Got a room upgrade and it had a very nice view with two balconies. Upon arrival, there were fruit and cookies waiting for me. I had a Golden Circle (their loyalty program) voucher to use. Since the restaurant was closed for renovations, I used it for the buffet breakfast. Great selection and excellent service. Used the hot tub this time. The change room was nice with a steam room and shower with many shower heads. Can't wait to make my booking again for this year or next. Service is just impeccable. Read less

I have stayed in a few hotels of the same brand in Asia and this is my first time at the Shangri-La Vancouver. Everything is up to the brand standard and services are excellent. I took the West Coast Wave Massage from the Spa and it was very relaxing. Gym is well equiped but the pool is very small.
