Also walking distance to catch aquabus to Granville Island. The hotel room was very clean with extremely comfortable bed. Our room overlooked Burrard Street there was no noise other than emergency vehicle noise. The bathroom was very clean with shower over the bath. The reception staff were very helpful and the wait staff at breakfast and dinner were exceptional. Yes we would stay again. Read less

Reasonably priced (for Vancouver) hotel located right downtown. 20 minute walk from the Harbour. Rooms are elegant but feel dated and need a refresh to regain previous glamour. Dropped off bags when I arrived at 9:30 am. Easy check in, both at reception and with concierge. Came back about 8 pm and picking up keys was easy. Room on the 16th floor.… Read more

Dropped off bags when I arrived at 9:30 am. Easy check in, both at reception and with concierge. Came back about 8 pm and picking up keys was easy. Room on the 16th floor. Looked west. Quiet, though the air conditioner isn’t. Appreciated the free water and chocolates (but have no idea what I did to deserve them). My only real critique was that in 2019, they’re still charging a per day rate for wifi! I believe it was $16.99. Read less

The room was first class and beautifully clean and presented, the food (especially the breakfast) was really good and the service was impeccable. We were staying as part of 25th Wedding Anniversary trip and the hotel very kindly left a gift in the room - a small but very important touch that we were both delighted with. Thank you to all the team who made our stay so enjoyable - we are already trying to work out when we can return. Read less

Just left the Sutton Place Hotel after spending one night before heading to Victoria. Really underwhelming. We used airline points to pay for the room so I feel a little cheap giving a less than stellar review. We did pay the $45 for 1 night parking. Crikey. We did not pay the $15 for internet since we have data on our phones. Hotels that charge for WiFi just annoy the heck out of me. When we pulled up to the hotel there were 2 valet attendants chatting with each other - neither of them opened the car door nor greeted us and didn’t even offer to help with the suitcase until I asked. The room was okay and clean. No USB ports anywhere to charge our phones though. The bellman, Matthew, was polite. There was coffee available in the room but no cream. The bed was not comfortable - saggy mattress and either wafer thin hard pillows or lumpy soft ones. The a/c control made the living room freezing but the bedroom remained hot and stuffy. The hotel location was convenient within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, theatres etc. There is a bistro/dining room (Boulevard) attached where we had a great big juicy burger for dinner with good service. Overall it was okay since all we paid for was parking but if we had paid full price for the hotel room (approx $300) we would have felt ripped off. Read less
