The rep was supposed to be there from 4:15-5:15PM but left early. The location is good. Many restaurants are walkable or a short taxi ride (beware of taxi drivers taking longer routes to destinations). We had a suite on the 7th floor and it was quite lovely. Comfortable and all needs met. The rooms could use a bit of an update, extra outlets, etc. but overall it was a great stay. Read less

Stayed for 3 nights. Location is right in the middle of downtown. All attraction can be visited on food. The Hotel as such has seen better times indeed and needs to be refurnished in all areas (last renovation probably 20 yrs+ ago). The gym and the pool are a joke. Also rooms are a bit noisy because of thin walls and main traffic streets next to… Read more

We arrived from the Cruise terminal at 8.45am but were told in no uncertain terms that our room would not be available until 3pm. After a very early morning it was not the response we wanted but no effort was made to say they woukd pull out the stops to welcome us earlier. Generally apart from the bell boys who were friendly and helpful the front desk and Concierge were too busy to give any time to guests. I ordered tea for 5 from room service and had to wait 30 minutes plus before service. I was not impressed with breakfast in the restaurant or the coffee and for a prestige hotel much more could be done to lift service levels. Our room was quite nice albeit looking out on a building at the rear but it did have most facilities. It is a well located hotel close to the main shops and good restaurants and not too far from the waterfront. Overall acceptable but disappointing at the same time. Read less

I stayed in this hotel 28 years ago when the hotel belonged to the Meridien chain and has not changed too much. The location is perfect but the facilities are old and the rooms need urgently a renovation. Basically is a very good hotel in the perfect location But after many years working it is time to renovate it and to reborn it.

Three names that stand out for us consistently are Jenn Jee at the front desk, Mark at the hotel entrance and last but not least Isaac who is a manager in the Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar Restaurant ~ friendly, professional and efficient is what comes to mind to describe these 3 lovely people. Hotel location is perfect ~ close to great shopping, theatre, restaurants & much more. I would highly recommend this hotel to compliment your stay in Vancouver. Read less
