Great location, nice and clean and updated. Have stayed here in the past and does not disappoint. Great value. The garbage truck in the back at 7am was not appreciated. Nice to see slow closing quite doors, really helps to keep the hallway noise to a minimum.

From the time we got there until we checked out. We found it very relaxing. The room was clean and warm. We loved the wine tasting hr. Next time we would like to bring kids for a stay. Looking forward to going back.

The place was clean and comfortable (more choices of room chairs than I am used to as well). The staff were warm and welcoming and seemed happy at their jobs. The wine was a delicious addition as it brought us together with other guests. Fantastic place. I can't wait to go again.

I wholeheartedly recommend The Listel Hotel to anyone visiting Vancouver. We stayed their twice (bookending some other travel in BC) and were extremely pleased. The rooms are comfortable and quiet with all the necessary amenities (bathrobes, spacious closets, ironing board, hairdryer, coffee/tea service, wine glasses, mini-fridge, etc.) Bedding was sumptuous and comfortable. The hotel is fully committed to being environmentally friendly, with glass carafes in each room and a filtered water station (both sparkling and still) on each floor. They even had compost bins (pristinely clean) in each room! The staff in the hotel were genuinely kind and helpful. The front desk staff went out of their way to help us figure out some of our activities and transportation options -- explaining the local bus system and recommending places that were specially decorated for the holidays. The Hotel restaurant, Forage, was fantastic. Breakfast was great and dinner was even better. Ingredients are locally sourced and they feature local wines, beers, and whiskeys. (The latter of which they allowed us to take up to our room for a night cap.) The hotel provides a complimentary happy hour with wine in the lobby from 5-6pm, giving guests a great chance to interact with the staff, taste a variety of local wines, and relax in front of the lobby fire. The location of the hotel is also really superb. It's reasonable walking distance to Stanley Park, a short walk to the free shuttle to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, and walking distance or a short bus ride to anything else you'd want to see in Downtown Vancouver. (The public transportation system in Vancouver is amazing -- after getting a few tips from The Listel staff, we took buses just about everywhere that was farther than we wanted to walk.) And check out the sushi and ramen shops that are right across the street! I can't think of a single thing to critique about The Listel and recommend it as an excellent choice to anyone who is fortunate enough to visit this fantastic city! Read less
