Came to Victoria twice this summer and both times were amazing. The location is right in the downtown core within walking distance to all shops, restaurants and the parliament. The staff are so nice and the rooms are very clean. Beautiful views and nothing beats the location. I will be back!

We had stayed at this hotel many times in the 90’s when I traveled to Victoria for work. We had a water view and a King one bedroom suite and I highly recommend this hotel. View from our balcony of the Parliament Buildings at night. Read less

The hotel is centrally located right by the Empress but at a fraction of the price. Room had a good view of the Empress and of downtown; unfortunately the room windows hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Room was large and had fridge and microwave. Restaurant was good and all staff were friendly and helpful.

Very disappointed with this hotel rating. Sure, it was clean and the restaurant was good, but it is rated as “Superb” on Trip Advisor, which it sure is not! Very over priced and over rated. Far better hotels in Victoria for the same price. Even the lobby is stark and underwhelming.

Very efficient check-in with courteous staff. Warm oatmeal chocolate chip cookies available at check-in. The 10th floor provides a nice view of the Victoria Harbor if you can get over the back of the Empress Hotel blocking some of that great view! Very efficient check-in with courteous staff. Warm oatmeal chocolate chip cookies available at check-in. The 10th floor provides a nice view of the Victoria Harbor if you can get over the back of the Empress Hotel blocking some of that great view! The room was spacious, clean and not only had a fridge but also a microwave. It was a little outdated in terms of furniture and drapes. The bathroom was nicely updated. The balcony was small and had no furniture. The restaurant provided ample space for social distancing and the breakfast was very good. Read less
