Nice hotel a block off the main village “stroll”. Compared to some other hotels that are right on the village stroll, Aava doesn’t have the nice lobby and its a bit further to walk to the gondola but the rooms are nice, the staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the price point is quite a bit lower that other hotels.

We just got back from a week's vacation in Whistler, BC. I am taking the time to write a review because when we were looking for a place to stay, I wanted to read recent reviews about other people's experiences. We are a family of four who all snowboard. We originally booked a room with 2 queen beds, but because of the amount of stuff we had with us, we needed more space. Thankfully, Raj and Tyler went above and beyond to help us locate a larger room. We booked a suite and an adjoining 1 bedroom king room both on the 4th floor. This change, made a world of difference for us as we were able to enough space to relax. Not to mention the high ceilings (maybe they were 12 or 15 feet high), gas fireplace, and mountain views. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and my kids liked the Murphy bed and pullout couch. There was also a microwave, dishwasher, stovetop, small refrigerator, and Keruig coffee maker. I know other reviews mentioned noise but I am a very light sleeper and can say I didn't hear anything on this floor. The hotel and rooms were meticulously cleaned. The location is fantastic, a quick walk to the village and lifts. The hot tub, pool, fire pit, and sauna were amazing! The staff were always smiling and seemed genuinely happy. When we go back, we will definitely be staying at Aava again. A+++ Read less

Our family goes to whistler often - majority of the time we get 4 rooms - so given this was a last minute getaway and I didn’t personally do the booking - we ended up at the Aava. 1. First room - no heat, the unit was only blowing cold air, tried to reset it called front desk - no dice - my mother was freezing. 2. Second room - 4th floor, walked in and did the round inspection of the room; there was urine stains all over the toilet, literally yellow drip stains down the toilet bowl on the side ( I have pictures, but I will spare you the grossness) - called front desk, they offered to change our rooms 3. Third room - no issues 4. Fourth room - no issues Rooms are decent if you’re using it just to sleep and that’s it. Not a hotel for R&R. There is no service onsite, even bottled water which was available was in our room - cannot be refilled once housekeeping is gone. Front desk advised us of this. You can purchase at the vending machines in each wing of the hotel given that the vending machine is in service (ours was not) and the other machine was sold out 🤦🏻‍♀️. I suggest stopping at the market and stocking up before checking in. Distance to the village is close - 2 min walk across the street. Wouldn’t stay here again. First and last. Read less

It's quite a big hotel (?), well it has too many wings or turns. You can get lost in this hotel when you will find your room especially when you use the laundry room. It's a good hotel, btw though the price was more than average. Clean room, good service & wifi. Parking was 20CAD, under the hotel. We could only get the room in this hotel for the… Read more

It's a good hotel, btw though the price was more than average. Clean room, good service & wifi. Parking was 20CAD, under the hotel. We could only get the room in this hotel for the date we chose as we wanted to meet our idols, a band that played in a festival in Whistler. We were very lucky that the band member were also staying in this hotel, yay! Read less
