I came to Whistler for work in early December. The firm usually puts me at the Fairmont next door, but the Four Seasons had surpassed the Fairmont on every level except the location. A couple issues with housekeeping, restaurant staff, and ski concierge did occur. Housekeeping was neglected for one day, the waitress at SideCut broke my water bottle, and the ski concerige almost ripped my ski boots liner. Despite all these problems, I would still recommend the hotel because of how the front desk manager James took care of the problems. He addressed the problems quickly and in a reasonable manner. The housekeeping manager and the ski concierge manager also personally came and apologize. Most of the staff at the ski concierge provided excellent service. They would get down to their knees and help you take off your boots. This has never happened during all my stays at the Fairmont. Guest service was always quick to bring around the house cars and help with any of your luggage needs. Concierge also got me a very last minute reservation at the Rimrock Cafe, which was completely booked everywhere else. The spa and pool facilities was excellent as well. My girlfriend also loved the generous daily wine tastings and smores. Read less

This hotel is beautifully situated at the foot of Blackcomb mountain, but due to a series of small but important fails does not live up the brand’s own high standards. (I’ve been a long term fan of this brand so especially disappointed). The main problems are: first, overpriced extras and constant chiseling upselling that is totally unsuitable to a resort of this class. For example: $20 extra per day for internet that works, $42 for Buffett breakfast, a $30 top up on a $300 massage for including feet, etc. Second, many small things about the room that were broken or just off, including a broken thermostat, broken bathtub drain, and weird ill-matched furniture and odd closet space in the room. Third, poorly trained staff, most of whom seem to be on an extended commonwealth gap year and were young and overly familiar. An example-the server at Sidecut Restaurants $300 dinner asking if we were done or we’d like to “pick at that some more” as if we were snarfing fish and chips at an East End pub. Fourth: the lack of places to eat or hang out while off the slopes. There is only one restaurant on location which serves as breakfast spot, dinner spot, and sports bar hang out, failing to hit the mark on any. All together this tallied to feeling chintzed in a luxury hotel. The positives were the concierge, ski concierge, and guest services which handles a lot of luggage and transport effortlessly. And the location. See others’ reviews about skiing at Whistler Blackcomb. I hope the Four Seasons Whistler returns itself to Four Seasons standards. Read less

Whistler is a wonderful resort: the layout is unique and without compare. The Four Seasons staff was great: we used the Shuttle to avoid the hassle of driving and parking. The hot tubs and pool sure felt good after skiing. The ski concierge was very helpful and so close to the slopes!

We stayed in an executive suite connected to a double room. It’s a great lay out for families and allows for an interconnecting lounge room with large sofa, tv, fireplace. We lived the hotels facilities - esp the ski valet service which was staffed with helpful, informed and happy people. Being a little further from the mountain means the hotel is a little quieter than others (which we loved) but the bar is still fun at night and the Side Cut restaurant is fab. Pool, hot tub and sauna area is staffed for drinks and a steady supply of hot towels. Spa is great. Gym very well equipped. Make use of the concierge app - before you arrive and during your stay. It’s was so helpful and the response generally quick and reliable. We would highly recommend this hotel. Read less
