Where can one go to getaway from it all but stay in the country during a pandemic? HERE!!! First of all, Whistler is stunning. But this hotel has thought of everything. No housekeeping services which I thought was odd, I wasn't loving that. But if you needed something, anything, they had it up to your room in minutes. We asked for the memory foam pillows, came up in 10 minutes. Rooms are spacious. Staff are amazing. The concierge staff - they are just attentive, fabulous and funny. We used the house car for the one night we went to Red Door Bistro (must go) in Creekside, otherwise we walked everywhere. The hotel is so central to everything. We hiked every day and then did the pool and hot tub in the afternoon. Shout out to Simon at the pool who never let our cups run dry! This is the best hotel to stay at in Whistler! Read less

My husband and I took a couple of trips to Whistler and managed to try out both hotels. For prospective guests looking for a luxury accommodation at Whistler, we would highly recommend Fairmont. Here are the reasons: Lobby. Fairmont wins hands down as it has an expansive more welcoming lobby. 4 Seasons is understated and dull. Restaurant. Fairmont wins again. A talented musician plays music in the evening. Restaurant has warm ambiance and delivers excellent food. At 4 seasons we did not bother going as it is under repair and they made this makeshift restaurant-like setting with walls and ceiling made of plastic. It felt cheap for a 5-star standard. Room - 4 Seasons wins. Standard room has fireplace and definitely roomier than Fairmont. Electric vehicle chargers - 4 Seasons has two. Fairmont probably has 22...at least. Covid precaution consciousness: Fairmont wins. Fairmont has touch free antiseptic dispensers and our room was supplied with a complimentary pouch containing mask, hand wipes and alcohol tube. 4 Seasons uses manual hand pumps that have been touched by other potentially COVID infected guests. Overall verdict: Fairmont wins overall with excellence in service and attention to details. Four Seasons sent us an email indicating that they are "expecting" us at the resort at 11am. We arrived at Four Seasons on September 16 at 11:30am, indicated to the receptionist that we were there on special anniversary celebration and the gentleman at the front desk says our room was ready but it was not yet inspected. So we went out for lunch and returned at 2:30pm, queued up again as there were other guests waiting, and were told the same excuse that our room was ready but it has not yet been given the final inspection. So we waited yet again. Moments later, we got a phone call from a receptionist saying our room was ready. We went up to our room only to find out that our checked in bags have not yet been delivered to our room. In contrast, at Fairmont, our check in bags were already pre-delivered to our room. For a 5 star hotel, the quality of service at 4 Seasons is definitely 3-star. Mark Read less

I had a great time at the hotel. The service and staff were tremendous. The room although slightly dated was well appointed. We got a slight room upgrade (9th floor) and free parking, which we chose to self park. The room was large with a couch at the end of the bed and a 60" TV. Also a fireplace and small balcony overlooking the forest and ski lifts. The bathroom and closed were also huge. All staff were very well trained and professional. Everything was very clean. There were covid precautions including the requirement for masks and limiting group sizes. We actually really liked that the pool had a limit on guests and there was a 3 hr time limit. Alot of times people hog the pool all day and I wish more hotels would limit the time. After coming back from a hike it is nice just to have a quick dip. If you showed up and it was full they would take your number and call you when there was room. Loved the simple ice cones at 5:00. The hotel is about a 12-15 minute walk from the village square depending on which way you go and there are all sorts of dining options there. There are also alot of easy paths for a walk, we liked the one around lost lake for a morning stroll. Read less

We felt 100% taken care of from arrival to departure. Our room was impeccable and the pool was an amazing temperature for us to swim with our child. We were so surprised to receive an upgrade on arrival and we truly enjoyed our experience in the townhouse. The property is kept so clean that we felt very comfortable m, even with covid. We had a small issue and Evan the assistant manager took care of it with incredible ease and professionalism. Later in our trip the team then went above and beyond to help us when I left my keys outside of their building (face palm). We look forward to visiting the four seasons Whistler again very soon!
