Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside

Whistler, Canada

The hotel

Lodge-style living meets alpine luxury at this all-suite hotel, where fireplaces, private balconies, valley or mountain views, and fully kitted out kitchens come as standard. Squeezing itself into the closest spot to the Blackcomb Excalibur and Whistler Village gondolas, snow sports are obviously de rigueur here — helped by Pan Pacific Mountainside’s complimentary ski valet and its outdoor sports shop, The Salomon Store. It’s not all slope-side action of course, but even when you’re having a dip in the heated saltwater pool or one of its whirlpools, you’ll be doing so with views of the mountains and Whistler’s popular Skier’s Plaza. The plaza’s also the setting for the heated patio of the hotel’s Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub, where the Gaelic pub grub, live Celtic music, and outdoor fire come with a side order of mountain views.

Our studio suite was much more than I expected - a full, equipped kitchen, a comfy Murphy bed, fireplace, sitting area. Pool, hot tubs, great parking, close to good restaurants, very friendly & helpful staff. Gave us early check-in and late check-out. I was surprised to have this lovely accommodation for such a reasonable price.

This is still one of the best places to stay in Whistler. Close to everything, great view of the mountain and excellent dining options close by. The pubs down stairs and close by have an excellent environment. The bathrooms could use a little touch up, nothing big.

Greeted by lovely staff who gave us an upgrade to a mountainside view room near the top, got to our room and the hotel had gifted us a bottle of wine in celebration of our honeymoon which was an amazing surprise. It was a really nice hotel room with a great view of the olympic mountain bike track. Very clean and comfy. Parking was not free but we knew this before we had booked and you get a better rate with the hotel so it wasn't too bad. Pool in the hotel was out of service but we probably wouldn't have used this anyway. Fantastic stay, would recommend to anyone. Read less

We spent the night here for our anniversary and couldn't have been happier. The room itself is bright and clean and had everything we needed, including a full sized fully stocked kitchen. Our only regret was we only stayed one night and would have loved to have stayed longer. The hotel itself is beautiful and in an ideal location. The staff are friendly and helpful. We were completely taken aback when we first entered our room and found a bottle of wine with a happy anniversary message from the hotel. We would not hesitate to come back and full recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, centrally located hotel in Whistler. Read less
