Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside

Whistler, Canada

The hotel

Lodge-style living meets alpine luxury at this all-suite hotel, where fireplaces, private balconies, valley or mountain views, and fully kitted out kitchens come as standard. Squeezing itself into the closest spot to the Blackcomb Excalibur and Whistler Village gondolas, snow sports are obviously de rigueur here — helped by Pan Pacific Mountainside’s complimentary ski valet and its outdoor sports shop, The Salomon Store. It’s not all slope-side action of course, but even when you’re having a dip in the heated saltwater pool or one of its whirlpools, you’ll be doing so with views of the mountains and Whistler’s popular Skier’s Plaza. The plaza’s also the setting for the heated patio of the hotel’s Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub, where the Gaelic pub grub, live Celtic music, and outdoor fire come with a side order of mountain views.

Excellent hotel in great location. The room was lovely with a fully fitted kitchenette. We asked for a higher floor because of the Irish pub on the ground floor. Could be noisy if you stay on a lower floor but we didnt hear anything. Nice mountain view as well.

I just spent a night there but would definitely recommend it and hope to come back again in the winter to ski. Great access to both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains as well as to Whistler Village. The Dubb Lin Gate pub was a fun place to be on a Saturday night and we also had a great meal before the entertainment.

29th Anniversary at Whistler BC. The service was excellent. Laura the evening manager was the best. All employees were friendly and pros. Rooms were clean, comfortable and top notch. Summer rates are reasonable. Winter rates are very pricy. The hotel is perfectly located in the main village. We will be going there again!

The hotel was difficult to find from a car and parking was expensive. However the hotel was warm and comfortable. We had some problems with our room but the staff were very helpful. They do a deal where you save $10 a night if you don't use their housekeeping and as the bed is a foldaway one I'm not sure how you would cope with leaving it out til room service arrived. The room had everything you need. We spent some time in it as the weather was seriously damp and there isn't a lot to do in Whistler once you've used all your dry clothes. Our room overlooked the square at the bottom of the Mountainside lifts and would have suited people rather younger than us who found the pounding music a bit irritating. However, it stopped dead on 10pm. Must be great in winter. Read less

We stayed in a Mountain view suite and it was amazing, lovely little balcony to sit and watch the mountain bikes speeding down the tracks. Comfortable room with full kitchen, fireplace and loads of storage. Well positioned in the village.
