I stayed at the Four Points while on lay over. It was a great hotel; nice and clean, plus only a short walk from the airport. My room was right beside the elevator and I was concerned that it would be noisy but much to my surprise I found it very quiet. We had a great stay at the Four Points by Sheraton at Winnipeg. Staff was courteous and friendly plus the accommodation was worth the price. Couple of negatives however, we ordered Nachos at the restaurant which was a bad mistake. There was something in the Nachos that caused us each to have an upset stomach that lasted about a week. Couple of negatives however, we ordered Nachos at the restaurant which was a bad mistake. There was something in the Nachos that caused us each to have an upset stomach that lasted about a week. The other negative, my daughter waited outside at the airport for the courtesy van, only to have it fly by - it took a half hour for her to get a ride to the hotel which is only a 5 minute walk from YWG. That was bad as the wind chill was minus 37 degrees Celcius. Read less

I recently stayed at and reviewed the attached Grand hotel so I wanted to try this one and see the comparison. Same shared parking lot that’s $10 self park or $15 valet per night. I recently stayed at and reviewed the attached Grand hotel so I wanted to try this one and see the comparison. Same shared parking lot that’s $10 self park or $15 valet per night. Plenty of space and height for full size trucks and vans. Check in was polite, quick and the lobby was clean. I had room 212 which was overlooking the airport runways and I was able to watch the planes get de iced and taxi out. One thing I will mention which I’m not a fan of. They have what I consider “clutter” in the halls. I first noticed it a few weeks ago when I was staying at the Grand and had to walk through four points to get to the parking area. They have tables set up in the hall close to the lobby with hot plates and dishes on them. We thought at the time that it may have been there for an event or possibly morning brunch. Weeks later it was still there and then when I got off the elevator on floor 2 there were serving trays sitting against the wall. Small detail but to me it cheapens the hotel, I don’t want to have to look at or walk around stuff like that. Not to mention that they are hazards in the event that people need to evacuate the halls quickly. The room was clean, smelt ok and was large enough. The are that houses the “kitchenette” area looked a little low cost to me though. You get the typical coffee maker, fridge and microwave. I appreciated having a microwave which the higher cost Grand did not have! The bathroom was clean with good hot water and pressure. The large walk in shower had supplied shampoo, conditioner and body wash on the wall although the conditioner didn’t work. The bed was pretty soft (bordering on too soft) and the noise from the airport and other rooms was muted well. We ordered room service breakfast in the morning. It came quickly and the quality and quantity was better than other hotels I have stayed at. If your arriving at the airport and need a place to stay that’s really close by I don’t think you can go wrong with Four Points. I liked the room furnishing and fit and finish at the Grand better however the simple $50 microwave that Four Points provides sways my vote to them instead. Read less
