Zemi Beach House Resort & Spa

Anguilla, Caribbean

The hotel

Those with a predilection for organic-inspired décor, meditation gardens, and silky sand made for sinking your feet into, will love Zemi Beach House Hotel & Spa – they’re just some of the reasons it was ranked one of Travel + Leisure’s Best Resorts in the Caribbean in 2017. Other highlights that gave it the edge include its swanky seaside suites (with high-tech touches like motion-sensor climate control), infinity edge pools, surfside sports like ocean kayaking and beach boot camps, Anguilla’s only Hammam, children’s club activities like mermaid experiences, and five dining and drinking venues, with an over-spilling rum bar and complimentary beachfront breakfasts. Despite providing all life’s luxuries, this resort still has that ‘castaway in the Caribbean’ feel – thanks to its spot on the white sands of Shoal Bay East and the 300 year old Thai House and yoga deck at its spa.

Upscale in a cool, approachable way. We actually popped into the Four Seasons for a drink (worth doing), but while expectedly impressive, it also felt a bit too opulent on this island. The beaches are incredible -- the softest sand leading to the bluest water. We often hung out at the beach at Zemi in the morning, ventured out for lunch (HIGHLY recco Madariman which is walking distance down the beach -- fresh seafood and the world's best frozen mojito) and dinner (fave here was VEYA. Hibernia also very good and an interesting experience.) . Lovely way to spend 5 days. Read less

We are wrapping up our stay at Zemi for our honeymoon and it was truly the best vacation of our life. It was our first trip to Anguilla and I can say we will definitely be back. We have never seen a staff that tries harder to make your experience great than they do at Zemi Beach. They go out of their way to know your name right from the beginning. The staff at the beach was the ones that really stuck out to us. Javier, Kenny, Aden Vandel and Tuneero go above and beyond to make your time in the beach chairs amazing. When we arrived they upgraded our room and made it special every step of the way. I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you guys for such an amazing trip. Read less

And the location is awesome since your less than a quarter mile from some great beach huts and restaurants each with signature dishes and cocktails. (Some favorites were Gwen’s for rum punch, Sunset Hut for Pina Coladas, and Madirman had killer seafood) The food was also top notch at Zemi and the Thai Spa was world class. Also we arrived at beginning of new season and had the hotel almost to ourselves which was great. The pool and beach staff especially Kenny and T were on point everyday pampering us and Alicia in the restaurant was a great host at our meals. At night turn down service included delicious cookies and plenty of water bottles ;) The management were very supportive and help fix any issue we had. Special thanks to Natasha you’re a star! All in all superb and relaxing week and we will be returning. Read less

We reserved a couples massage for my birthday and had a great experience. The entire spa/retreat is stunning and relaxing. However, it was different from our first (grapefruit/rosemary) which left a lasting impression and we originally asked to duplicate it (with a copy of our original spa treatment letter 2018) which included a scrub/outdoor shower experience. We were given a Balinese massage which was also good; however, it was missing the personalized scrub/shower experience which is what we kept reminiscing about, for over a year. He truly wanted that experience even though it was MY birthday :). Staff are courteous and pleasant. They also surprised me with a bottle of champagne (sparkling wine-brut) and a delicious chocolate mousse dessert topped with berries and candles. Delicious - even though chocolate desserts are not my first choice. The dessert was excellent. Thank you!! We also requested the 50 minute massage and found out we had the 80 minute massage which was resolved at checkout by providing email communications. Read less
