My entire life with travel has always been on the go to exotic places with constant motion, this was seven days of one place, two restaurant options, and tranquility. Needless to say, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves feeling that we got true value with respect to the property is cleanliness, outstanding and courteous staff, and the food was outstanding, but more on that in a second. Let’s first talk about the bungalows, our sat out on the bay number 10 and was perfect for this time of year with respect to memorable sunsets. Every night, the owner of the property understands the value of large spacious bathrooms, and that we had, our room, our infinity, dipping pool And porch were an oasis, and yet the rest of our property was also an oasis with only 42 cabins you never feel overwhelmed by guest getting in your space the beach is perfect size the toys available for enjoyment were great, and the staff attentive at the beach, and at all the cascades of the pool. Food was outstanding, specifically the lighthouse every night the menu changed with several variances of appetizers and main courses, all of which were true culinary experiences.. while an extensive inclusive, wine selection. They also had a reserve wine list, which you had to pay for, but worth it in value and not overpriced.. we did the pink panther tour, which we enjoyed thoroughly along with the Calypso cat snorkeling, half day trip, which was also very enjoyable. All in all had an excellent experience, tonight our last night is the seven course tasting menu and we look forward to that. Read less

My sister and I celebrated our birthday here this week. The team at hammock cove made it truly unforgettable. We were greeted by Nigel and his famous welcome drinks. Did not disappoint! Then we met our ambassador Sheldon. He gave us a tour and told us everything we needed to know. Made our dinner reservations and welcomed us warmly. We spent a lot of time on the beach. Every one of the staff on the beach was outstanding. We were always greeted with a smile. They are the friendliest staff! We also had the pleasure of meeting Andre at Irinas bar. He was the best! So fun! Last but not least were assisted by another ambassador Leon. Truly goes above and beyond and made us feel so special. We will be back and I encourage you reading this to BOOK! Read less

As most travellers we arrived tired and dusty. As soon as we were greeted at the hotel we were ushered to the bar for a welcoming cocktail whilst waiting for our ambassador, Jahvawn, to take us on a tour of the hotel complex and of course our villa for the next 11 nights. Our first impressions were how happy both the guests and employees were. Jahvawn, with a great smile and passion for his job, showed us The Lighthouse restaurant and offered to book us a table there every night at 7pm. We took and accepted that offer, and were delighted as we had lobster that very first night…..more to follow on the restaurants. The villa - we had an ocean view, overlooking the bay and adjacent hotel, The Veranda. Super clean and very stylish with furnishings etc. A really nice touch was the shelves with a selection of books on. There is a coffee machine and kettle, plus the necessary coffee and teabags, plus sugar and creamer. We did opt for a daily delivery of fresh coffee at 6.30am each day as we are early risers and don’t like to miss a minute of the day. The plunge pool was a delight as it’s gets so very hot in the afternoons. A fully stocked bar, fridge and ice delivery was a fantastic addition. In the bathroom, which is huge, there is a brilliant double shower cubicle both with jungle shower head and hand held shower, shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Hand soap and hand cream also provided in the double basin area. a hairdryer is provided and a nice vanity area to get ready in. I guess the only negative here is that the toilet is not isolated from the rest of the room and could cause some embarrassment. The beach was beautiful, carefully maintained and the tethered ring/donut in the water were superb, just lie or sit in to keep cool. Water sports available from around 10am to 4pm. No need to reserve sun beds as there are many and towels provided on them, unless you’re early down like us and we took the ones provided in the villa. Jugs of water and glasses of ice are provided regularly throughout the day, and from 12pm so is lunch, including a fantastic seafood grill on Tuesdays which includes lobster. There were also bubbles and caviar on another day, and oysters on yet another day. It was all fantastic. Thanks to Julio, Chelsea, Natalia, Tashawna and Hector for all they did for us in very hot temperatures. We used Irina’s restaurant for breakfast and generally the first to arrive. All food cooked to order and it was superb, a great choice of juices, smoothies, teas etc. The hot food option was great, omelettes, eggs Benedict, eggs florentine, Antiguan breakfast, American steak and eggs, cereals, bagels, toast, English breakfast options, we tried pretty much everything and all brilliant. Our highlight each day were the staff, Tyra, who was so naturally funny, Linda, Tassica, both super efficient and Natalia (again) who always teased David (trouble she called him) which was very amusing. Also very nice to meet the owner Robert most days too. We went to Irina’s again for lunch twice and once to the Sushi evening - spectacularly good again. The quality of food and the service was amazing. The rum bar is a must, Rondel insisted on taking us there, Gabriel is a ‘barista’ of rum! Erick who is generally in Irina’s is an outstanding mixologist and also a great host in both bars. Just watch your measures in both, as when you stand up…… well you know 😀 The Lighthouse restaurant is where we went most evenings, the menu choices are outstanding. We are both great fish eaters so were delighted with the choices each night, although the steaks were not to be missed. Again the lobster was on offer and so well cooked. The side orders of dainty vegetables were lovely and the dessert option very good too, especially the cheese. The ambiance was nice, soft lighting, space between tables and a great selection of wines, spirits etc. The restaurant team here headed by Troy was so lovely, nothing was too much trouble, thank you Collette, Sophia, Priscilla, Desa, Camara, Nashila for looking after us so well and of course for Ilaria for telling us all about the wine, especially the favourited Fat B4st4ard! Big thanks Troy - you were wonderful. To Marco, the executive chef, we really want to give you special thanks for all the attention and fantastic meal choices you gave us, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it was much appreciated and a very nice touch to greet all guests individually at different meal times. We watched the cooking demonstration too which showed to how scrupulously clean the kitchen is and thank you Alex for teaching us risotto menus. Finally to Deveny and Samantha, thank you so much for your help with arranging our trips with Pink Panther and CalvinAir. Deveny you are an absolute star and we love the fact you came to see us everyday just to say hello and joke with us. Samantha you are just lovely and a credit to this fabulous hotel. We look forward to returning one day. Read less
