We stayed 1 week at Hilton Aruba the first week of October, having had no luck scheduling and rescheduling Maui. Due to COVID 2 of the 3 towers were empty. This meant the restaurants, pools, and beach were uncrowded, and likely better suited for us than pre-pandemic. This held true throughout the resort area. Everything here was great! The bar had nightly entertainment, great service, good drinks. and beautiful views. Our room was really large and had a nice ocean view. Everyone was super nice and they had daily housekeeping which was nice, during COVID. All other trips we've done since March there was no housekeeping. The hotel and entire island felt VERY safe! Better protocols than US with hand sanitizing stations inside every business, trace contacting at every restaurant, and masks in indoor public areas. It was never bothersome, just made you feel safe. Aruba is called "One Happy Island" for good reasons. No despondent beggers, no high pressure time share offers, no crime. Every single person we encountered was super nice, helpful,, and very friendly. We traveled the entire island too. The local beaches are just as nice as the resort ones and everyone has a smile. We just had a fairly large group (safely) travel for our wedding in October 2020... We had a lot of Aruba first timers on this trip who fell in love with the island and cannot wait to be back. Everyone is COVID-free and some are already planning a one year reunion trip! THIS HOTEL IS SO CLEAN! There is sanitizer everywhere and the grounds are being cleaned constantly by the amazing staff. More importantly- If anyone reading is thinking about a destination wedding, do not go anywhere else- this is the best place for your nuptials!!!! The first reason being, of course, Lisa Dammerman their on-site coordinator, the second being the staff at The Hilton, the third being the location of the hotel is SO convenient for your guests to get around the island (15 min from airport, across the street from a cluster of great restaurants and some of the best beach bars, so many cute/amazing palapas with A+ staff servicing them, and the least amount of wind on the beach in Palm Beach) & lastly- the roomrate they give wedding parties is very fair and in-line with what you would expect to pay in the US (without the white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, of course) Lisandra Dammerman (THE QUEEN COORDINATOR!!) takes care of everything- booking cake, getting the DJ, speaking with the florist, ensuring table schematics are set, the entire run of show... the random crazy lightening storm (extremely rare, but it happened for us!); you name it, she will do it and will ensure that you have ONE HAPPY DAY/WEEK/STAY AT THE BEST HOTEL ON THE ISLAND. Lisa fought tooth and nail to ensure we were still able to conduct the wedding of our dreams. We had a few hiccups along the way, but she was able to navigate us out of them and deliver the best welcome party and wedding we could have ever imagined. Our guests felt safe traveling (everyone had to get a PCR test within 72 hours as required by Aruba law!) and the Hilton staff was very respectful of space and wore proper PPE equipment. The staff at The Hilton are top notch. In our opinion, they are the best on the Island- even more so than The Ritz. Steve at the pool bar was a crowd favorite and his wife Sue Ann at the Hilton spa gives incredible massages. Everyone at the front desk- led by Nelson- are absolutely incredible. Special thanks to the GM who sent some bottles of wine to our room- we didn't get a chance to meet, but your operation is wonderful as is everyone that is employed at this hotel. The bartenders at The Mira Solo bar (Sendrick and Juan Camilo) rock and make awesome drinks (they even pre-stuffed blue cheese olives for my Ketel Martinis... love them!) we had our welcome white party there the evening before the wedding and saw the most beautiful sunset through the palms. The wedding itself was breathtaking. We had a ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour on the sandy area between the pools and the reception on the pool deck. Lisa has a network of the best vendors on the island, so you seriously cannot go wrong with her recs. After the wedding, we extended our trip for our "minimoon" which turned into us hanging out with family/friends who stayed after the wedding... it was a memorable experience full of great stories, new friendships formed and connections made. We spent a lot of time hanging out on the beach and doing the daily happy hour (2 for 1 drinks!) The "sunset concierge" was spectacular, she treated us so well and we had a gorgeous dinner on our last night in Aruba. We hope to see her next time we come and stay at The Palm Beach Club :) All in all, everything we experienced was incredible and we are so happy we chose The Hilton and were able to share One Happy Island with some newbs. I cannot wait to make the trip to see the friends we made at our favorite hotel on the island again soon! Read less

Just back from 11 days in paradise at Hilton Aruba and while we were unsure what to expect, due to Covid, we were pleasantly surprised at how safe we felt on the Hilton property. Staff always wore masks, everyone was focused on cleanliness and social distancing. We felt less at risk of getting Covid at the Hilton that we do at home in New York. Once we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Tasha and Grace at front desk, and surprised with a room upgrade based on our Diamond Honors status. Then we were off to the Palm Beach Club to reunite with Matilda and Afroze who took good care of us each and every day with dinner reservations, advice on what to do, and snacks all day and drinks and apps in the evening. Palm Beach Club is worth the extra cost! We also enjoyed the free activities and appreciate the personal touch of Jean Pierre on the bike tour and kayaking. Endless served Breakfast outside at Sunset Grill was better than the prior buffet, Gilligan's for lunch was excellent as usual. If Your thinking of going to Aruba, stop thinking and BOOK YOUR TRIP. We had a great time staying here at the Hilton Aruba Resort. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. The restaurant was very good and the resort was so relaxing and fun. I would gladly stay here again when I return to Aruba.
