My wife and i have Stayed at the Hilton in Aruba before so we returned hoping for a simular experience, the hotel and ground are beautiful. the room only was ok and the bed and bedding were very nice. We paid for an upgraded room on the conceirge level Palm Beach club. this came with some amenities like a Palapa for the week and breakfast. the room was nice but we had several issues , the bathroom, only had either cold shower water or burning hot so for the week we were there we had to take cold showers[ better then getting burned]. also the bathroom is like a cave i am 5 foot 8 and my head was above the shower head, about 6 foot to ceiling and the rest of the bathroom was very small one person at a time[also very run down dirty and a lot of patched holes ]. Someone was sent to repair it after the second request and left a note in the shower that he was there but it was the same. The conceirge when we first arrived told me she could not veiw the palapa location on her computer but the next day a different conceirge could i know its a small thing but trust in important to me. the breakfast was not very good [poor selection] the fruit was not ripe/very hard. The tea time and coctail food was very limited and not good quality. because of the shower problem i asked to be moved twice and the would not move us. for this reason my wife and i are going to try the 4 Seasons or the Hyatt they are simular in price. My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Aruba about three weeks ago for our honeymoon. I do not leave reviews often, but I feel compelled to leave a full review to help others in making the decision whether to stay here or not. I will start off with the positives. The resort grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The property is very clean and has a fresh, modern feel. Our room was very spacious and had a lovely view of the ocean. The balcony, however, was very small and only one of us could stand out there at one time. The room was tastefully decorated, again very modern with a beach feel. No complaints about the room. We loved that the resort was within walking distance to many bars and restaurants. The steakhouse on the resort was absolutely incredible. Best meal we had during our week long stay! Now for the pool and beach. The pool was very large and spaced out. It never felt over crowded. All of the palm trees made the scenery very nice. The beach felt more crowded than the pool. The beach at the Hilton was one of the widest stretches of beach compared to the other resorts in Palm Beach. Now, for the not so great parts of the resort... We would have really liked if the resort did something in recognition for our honeymoon. When booking our room, we made clear to indicate that it was for our honeymoon. Upon arrival, no one made any comment about the honeymoon or any congratulations. We spoke to some other couples who received champagne and chocolate covered strawberries from their resort for being on their honeymoon. Of course, this was not expected, but some type of recognition really would have been nice. I was also disappointed in the friendliness of the staff. They would not speak to you unless you spoke to them first - and sometimes even if we walked past and said hello, we would get ignored. This was our first time in Aruba, but have been to several other Caribbean islands, and the staff at other Hilton resorts have been incredibly nice and friendly.... this was the opposite here. Additionally, the staff seemed to take a long time with everything - checking in, booking an excursion, or even waiting 30+ minutes to get our check at the bar. The staff’s lack of friendliness and slowness of service was very disappointing. One of the most disappointing parts of our trip was the casino at the Hilton - absolutely horrendous! On our first night there, my husband and I were playing blackjack. For those not familiar with the game, when a dealer is showing a face card, the ALWAYS check their second card to see if there is an ace which would mean the dealer has blackjack. Well, my husband and another woman at the table both had face cards and chose to double down on their bet (in hopes second card would be ace or another face card). As the hand is played, the dealer flipped over her card and showed that she had blackjack. She NEVER initially checked to see if she had an ace. Granted, we would have lost the hand either way, BUT because of her mistake, my husband and this other lady lost double their bet. This happened not once, but TWICE with the same dealer. Her response was simply “I forgot! You would have lost either way!” The second time it happened, we asked to speak to the pit boss, and the dealer rolled her eyes and continued to deal cards. We then refused to play without speaking to the pit boss. The pit boss also acted as if it was no big deal and stated that we lost and that’s how gambling works. Both were incredibly rude and acted as if losing double the money was no big deal. We continued to press the issue and finally they reviewed the cameras. I’m not so sure they even reviewed them... they gave my husband a $25 chip to make up for it, however, he had lost more than that with his double down. It was a very frustrating night and we told them we would not be returning. Instead, we played at the Hyatt the rest of the week. Overall, I would go back to the Hilton just for the quality of the room, resort grounds, and pool/beach. The staff and quality of service needs some serious improvement though. Read less

The rooms were clean. The stretch of beach is wonderful. After having walked up and down this Palm Beach strip, we feel that the Hilton is the nicest property. We rented beach palapas every day but the cabanas by the pool are also nice and the pool area was fairly quiet. I was surprised however that they charge $10 to open a bottle of your wine. So bring your own bottle opener!. The staff was friendly. Eugemar at Gilligans was very helpful and kind. We hope to return! Read less

The ENTIRE staff was super friendly and always around to help. We had the opportunity to play shuffleboard & archery, go on a bike tour to the lighthouse with Max and JP, stand up paddle board, play bingo bango, enter a watermelon eating contest, drink our faces off and enjoy the sun all day long. We were so sad to leave because everyone made us feel at home. I can't wait to go back. Read less

One place was San Nicolas were we saw local art work outside and taken is to O' Niel Carribean kitchen and other places. The rooms were nice and the staff were helpful. It is a busy and popular place to travel. The beach was beautiful, the sun beaming, always windy but good to cool you off because of humidity and sun. Make sure to use sunscreen, hat and mosquito spray. Live music and activities at hotel make sure to ask. Family had a good time. Power went out on day in the morning throughout the island but came back around noon. Hoel had backup generator for elevators. All was well. Read less
