My wife and I traveled to this hotel for my wife's birthday and our stay at this resort was nothing short of amazing. The design of the hotel and the hotel grounds are simply out of this world. The staff made our stay even better, everyone was so polite and very helpful. Irma helped us plan an amazing sunset dinner on the beach and Richard provided us with amazing service during our dinner. The front desk staff gave us a lot of great local suggestions that were very helpful, the ladies in the coffee shop greeted us each morning with a smile and knew exactly what we wanted, it was amazing! The bird handler allowed us to hold some birds while he took photos of us, he even gave us a lot of information on each bird, we learned a lot. The gentleman that worked in the fitness center was also great, he was always upbeat and cleaning the machines. Our room was spacious and the housekeeping staff did a good job keeping our room clean. Various hotel managers from different departments were checking in to see how our stay was going, which let us know they genuinely care. We will definitely be going back soon, this hotel is our new favorite. Read less

It took 8hrs to get our results back! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Hilton was extremely hospitable and every person working here was so friendly and nice! They really try to make all the guests feel comfortable and happy especially given the pandemic we just experienced. One of our favorite part of the trip was the complimentary bike tour to the California Lighthouse. We were surprised no one else signed up and we ended up getting a private tour from Denko. During the trip, Denko pointed out secret spots we could come back to for snorkeling, surfing, and just chillin during our stay. He was so patient with my out-of-shape body and adjusted the pace for me. He takes amazing pictures and will share many things about Aruba. Don’t forget to tip because it will probably one of the best experiences you will have here! I highly recommend you to take advantage of the amazing activities offered by Hilton! Thank you again, Denko!!! Read less

I planned a trip during COVID-19. After months of doing everything right (staying inside, wearing my mask), I was hitting my breaking point and needed a break as US numbers began to shoot upwards yet again. I was very careful about choosing a destination and hotel that made me feel safe. Aruba, with 0 cases at the time, had strict measures to control entry (COVID-19 test within 72 hours before travel) so I booked a stay. I chose the Hilton due to the amenities, beach, and location. I was NOT dissapointed! My stay was excellent, though I feel I would not have liked it as much during a normal peak season, which I will explained. There were also a few little issues specific to Hilton Status that irked me, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. To start: during COVID-19 this hotel is great!! I had read horror stories about waiting in line everyday for a palapa or paying $50 per day...as well as paying to rent cabanas for $70+. If I had to spend my vacation doing this, and waking up at the crack of dawn to "claim" my prepaid palapa, this would be a 2 star review. Instead, the hotel was at probably 20% capacity and none of these issues existed! We took a front row palapa whenever we wanted, and even set up at the poolside cabanas everyday. Most of the time, we were the ONLY people in the pool! It worked out great! The facilities are A+. They have two huge pools, and both of them are VERY WARM. Even better, they close at 10pm. The vast majority of pools in Aruba close oddly at 5pm/7pm (what do people do in the evenings) but at the Hilton with the warm water and late hours we were able to enjoy evening swims after dinner every night. It was perfect! They also have a nice smoke-free onsite casino, and multiple bars with happy hour BOGO frozen and mixed drinks. The beach: A+. Beautiful quiet stretch of beach. White sand, calm warm water. Very clean! Room: Large, spacious. Massive TV and they do not use the weird locks to force you into using only their service - very easy to pop a Firestick into the back and watch netflix/hulu. Nice view of the ocean from the balcony. Location: perfect! restaraunts and shops across the stress. Easy walk to nearest Starbucks/Dunkin, as well as the best independent coffee shops - The Hub and Island Grind. Felt safe walking around even at night. Negative: Main negatives have to do with Hilton Status. The main purpose of status is free breakfast and upgrades. They fail on both counts: 1. Upgrades - they said they "upgraded" us to Aruba tower partial ocean view. Turns out only the aruba tower is open so they just put us in the lowest level room in the only open tower and called it an upgrade. They said they would upgrade to a large suite on arrival if available, yet when we arrived said it would be "too much work" to ask housekeeping to prepare a different room even though the hotel was basically empty. The large suites were clearly empty our entire stay, and still bookable on the website. 2. Breakfast - huge fail here. Instead of a free breakfast you get "continental breakfast." Continental breakfast is a $12 breakfast item from their restaraunt consisting of, I kid you not, a muffin and fruit cup. No protein at all. They have a larger full breakfast but it costs $26 and they WILL NOT give it to people with Hilton Gold/Diamond even though we are supposed to get free breakfast. If you want something different, you can apply the $12 to it but have to pay the difference + their 18% service charge. Since I didn't want nothing but carbs for breakfast, I instead ordered the yogurt parfait that costs $8. I assumed for 8$ it would be large enough to be a filling well-rounded breakfast. LOL NO. It was a shot glass with 2 tablespoons of yogurt in it, 2 blueberries on top, and a teaspoon of granola, brought over with saran wrap on it where it had been previously made and left in the fridge to get soggy. We literally laughed and had to get a 2nd breakfast elsewhere. My advice: don't ever get breakfast here. Linda's dutch pancakes (12 min walk) is amazing. For closer food, LOLA's is right across the street and makes great breakfast tacos for like $5. Food in Aruba is cheap and the breakfast prices at Hilton for the pitiful size/quality is a joke. Don't even bother. So, in closing: Amazing hotel during COVID-19 when at 10-20% capacity. Great warm pools with long pool hours. Beautiful stretch of beach on beautiful, lush grounds. Horrible breakfast, no benefits of Hilton Status. During high season - I would probably hate it. I can't imagine paying 50-80$ per day to rent umbrellas and chairs on top of the resort fee, as well as waiting in line to reserve them/ having to get out early and stay on them all day to claim them. But right now, and for the next few months during COVID, I can't imagine a better choice in Aruba - and I walked the entire beach and looked at other hotels/grounds/lobbies and Hilton was by far my favorite.
