Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino

Aruba, Caribbean

The hotel

Set amidst breathtaking scenery, this luxurious beachfront hotel offers the ultimate in relaxation. Spanish-style architecture, lush gardens and cascading waterfalls are as delightful as the crystal clear seas it is set by and the accommodation is modern, airy and well equipped with all mod cons. For those who like to keep active, you’re in for a treat. There’s a three-level pool to splash about in, water sports galore down on the beach and an incredible programme of daily entertainment to take advantage of, including sunset sails, pool volleyball and shuffleboard contests. No worries if relaxation is more your style, grab a lounger and laze the day away or head to ZoiA Spa for some well-deserved pampering — we can recommend the White Lily After-Sun Wrap! When you’re feeling peckish, you’ve a choice of restaurants to choose from. Dine amongst floating swans at Ruinas del Mar, serving contemporary cuisine in a rustic recreation of seaside ruins or indulge in island-fresh dishes at Palms. For tequila and regional dishes, head to Mexicado or admire the best sunsets in town at Piet’s Pier Bar. For something a little more sophisticated, dig out your finest attire and head to the Hyatt Casino. After all, a little flirting with Lady Luck never goes amiss!

The Spa is completely closed, No Steam room or sauna, the Gym is terrible dirty, the Game room is under construction and completely closed. The only shower for the pool and beach area was not working and in the afternoon it was supposed to be fixed, you had to bring your own water to get wet. Not even a small excuse for all these major inconveniences. Shame on you Hyatt! Read less

I have been staying at this hotels for many years and I'm really disappointed in the steady decline in service. I was traveling with my husband and 2 children so when I made the reservation I had requested connecting rooms and was told if they weren't available I had confirmed 2 rooms right next to one another. When I arrived I was told those rooms were no longer available, even though they were confirmed, they said they would be on the same floor and didn't get what the big deal was ?? After speaking with a very unapologetic manager I was given no choice but to take 2 rooms that were close but not next to each other. They also were not ready by the 4 pm check in time . Beach Palapa - I paid $45 a day to make sure I had a palapa, which is supposed to be set up with chairs and towels, so when I had no towels I asked a beach employee if I could get some towels he pointed in the direction of the towel hut and told me to get them myself. Imagine my surprise when I went to get the towels and told the girl working what had happened and pointed the man out and she said that was her boss and she couldn't believe he told me to get them myself ! If you want food or cocktails on the beach you will be disappointed because service there is almost non existent unless you go find them and ask them to come to your hut. I would also check your bill before check out because they tried charging me almost $150 for free wifi and when I asked at the front desk she said she would remove the charge but seemed annoyed that I was bothering her. This hotel needs some extensive training in hospitality and I will be hesitant to stay there in the future. Read less

The property itself if absolutely beautiful - the open-air lobby, the flowers and plants, and the fish and swans. The location cannot be beat either - to me, it is the best beach spot in Palm Beach and right across from lots of restaurants and nightlife. We upgraded to the Regency Club which was awesome!! We liked their new location down by the pool and the attendants in the Regency Club were very friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the full breakfast every day and happy hour from 5-7 each evening. Some nights the selection was much better than others but it was always worth a stop. We also had dinner at Mexicado one night. The service there was excellent and the food was very good. The hotel (and the island) was extremely crowded the first week in November when we stayed due to the NJ schools being out and I don't think that the hotel was prepared for the volume of people. The service was good, but it could have been better. The Hyatt bars generally seemed understaffed and it was not unusual to wait over 30 minutes for a drink. The check-in process was also somewhat disappointing - they did not offer the warm towel or welcome drinks that they once did. We tried to call down to the front desk once or twice and they did not answer. If you don't reserve your spot at the pool before 8am, there will likely not be any left (at least during busy times)!!! This may change with the opening of the adults only pool in December which will allow for more space. There were TONS of kids at the pool so i can see the need for the adults only space. Also, we booked the Dolphin snorkeling adventure with Delphi watersports which is right in front of the towel hut - I highly recommend!!! Read less

We had an amazing family vacation at the Hyatt Regency. It's a beautiful and CLEAN resort. The location is fantastic; you are literally right across the street from restaurants and shops. Lots of things to do for kids and adults.
