Hotel has two family pools, plus an adult pool with swim up bar. The hotel is all inclusive and the mainly Canadian and American guests were keen to get merry/plastered. Sea was a little choppy, so they were not letting anyone take a sea kayak out for all the time we stayed. The hotel layout internal layout is a little strange in that even though the various restaurants are on different floors, they are all linked - so the singer in the lobby bar is heard everywhere. Some nights they had a good band later in the evening, but unsafe to dance (either due to pushchairs crossing the floor or drunken guys spilling their drinks all over the dance floor). The Japanese themed specialist restaurant was pretty good, but the rest were so-so and the italian downstairs was probably one of the worst italian meals I've ever seen. The buffet probably had the best food and service. Rooms are comfortable, although can be a little cold Worth a walk to the Baha Mar complex (turn right along sea promenade and its 5 minutes walk). Very easy to catch a Jitney bus (Number 10 or 12) into Nassau, from the stop just outside the hotel. Read less

Restaurants were very good, remember to book at least 2-3 days in advance as reservations fill up quickly. The market is great for breakfast, also a Starbucks as well. A big shout out to Sherilyn Fernander for always friendly service at breakfast time. Safety was not an issue, even visiting downtown Nassau with the family. Don't always believe what you hear, everyone we met was welcoming and friendly. Only improvement that could be made is a better selection in the resort clothing shop, and a hair salon would be nice too. Read less

The resort is pretty average, a bit dated, but kept very clean. The service for the most part is very very good, but every now and then you'd get someone who just doesn't care, which is normal. Value for money is ok, it's much more affordable than the new resort next door. It's worth it to upgrade to the level.

Our server Denia was great - social and welcoming. Through her, we tried everything - a great way to sample several different things but still not overeat. A win! We especially liked the Bahamian conch fritters, Serrano ham bruschetta and lamb meatballs.

I know when I read reviews I want to know the pro and cons, so here is my honest review. Pros: Everyone at the resort were pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed the game show I signed up for, and beach games. Food was good, not really authentic Bahamian food. They made food more Americanized. Outside and inside eating. They gave our room a bottle of wine and cake to celebrate an event we were there for! Sign up for taste of Nassau and request Captain Ron, he was amazing! The resort is ALLLLL you can eat and drink including alcohol drinks. Activites on agenda board, pool for kids and adults and hot tub. Kids play/ babysitter area. Free speed bait ride to private island. On the island you can swim with dolphins and pet stingrays. Also on the private island you get a massage on the beach. (Price is more than our local prices of course). Water is beautiful. Cons: Shower curtain, sheets, and room curtains had a odd stain on them. When we ordered more face cloths it took hours to get them. Mini bar wasn't stocked everyday per advertised. I received a coupon book (part of my package) that I didn't get a chance to use. I was not given at the time of check in. They didn't have any on hand. When I asked if they could accommodate me I was told no. I asked if I brought it back would it be honored and I was told no because they were moving away from the coupon booklet. Not to mention my booklet expired in 2017, 3 years ago. The daily agenda board didn't match the activities that were going on. It was switched by staff without notice to guests. Fan in bathroom didn't work. Lamp in room was missing a screw. Walk to room was far from exit doors. Wish I could of gotten accommodated, I would have book my next trip before leaving! Read less
