The staff at the resort were great, they’re super friendly and good fun. In terms of price, Warwick is great for what you pay. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Chinese and I do think the buffet could be improved. The pool grill with chicken wings, conch fritters and pizza was always delicious! We had a bit of a nightmare with Majestic Tours that operates in the hotel. We booked to swim with pigs and weren’t informed of the trip was cancelled - a very disappointing day. Eventually Kristephano did put in the effort to amend everything which is why we feel it still deserves 5 stars! Read less

Warwick Paradise Island We stayed at the Warwick from May 6-13, 2019. Having never stayed in the Bahamas before, we weren't quite sure what to expect. We knew that this was a smaller resort grounds, and that the beach was man-made and enclosed. Upon arrival, we found the grounds manicured, and that the hotel, which had been purchased by Warwick and renovated within the past few years, was stylish and modern. I don't think we came across a single staff member all week who failed to greet us with a smile. It's true what's been posted before - the staff really makes the difference here. We were left with the impression that staff DOES listen to their guests, and does their best to improve. As far as location goes, Paradise Island is across a channel from Nassau, which is accessible by taxi (bridge) or water taxi, and is about 35 minutes from the airport. Rooms: We stayed on the 12th floor, with a view to the east and south. While not enormous, the rooms had adequate space, and the corner unit had lots of natural light. Closet space was probably more than adequate, while the dresser (3-drawers) was perhaps a bit smaller than we would have liked. The furnishings are modern, and to be honest, a little more modern/minimalist than we prefer, but that tends to be subjective. The air conditioning functioned well, but it does blow right over the bed. We found that the supplied sheet + comforter were a little warmer than we liked, but the sheet alone was not quite enough. We requested an extra sheet from the housekeeping staff, and that worked just fine. There was never a shortage of pressure or hot water. Note that only the rooms directly facing the harbour have balconies, which means that the only place to hang wet clothes is the shower, and you may need to get a bit creative. Pool / Beach: For the size of the resort, the pool is actually quite large, and a maintenance team cleans it every morning. We did find that there was a shortage of shade, which led to the familiar problem of people reserving lounge chairs early in the morning, whether or not they actually used them (this is always a pet peeve of ours). When we first got there, we found that many of the umbrellas were damaged, but they were replaced, and added to during our stay. There is almost no shade on the man-made beach, but as we noticed, it seemed that many of the palm trees were young, either planted following a storm, or during the renovations, and will provide more shade in the future, but still, it made us less inclined to use the beach, which was nearly always empty. The beach lagoon is kept clear of any seaweed that washes in from the channel, which would be minimal anyway, due to the chain-link fencing in the breaker wall. If you're looking for a more natural beach, the resort does 2 shuttle loads to nearby Cabbage Beach, which features a long stretch of powder-soft sand and gorgeous turquoise surf, and includes lounge chairs, umbrellas, drinks and a light lunch. Note that you CAN walk to Cabbage Beach in about 10 minutes, however, if you do not use the shuttle to get there, they cannot guarantee any of the amenities I just listed. Also note that the waves can get pretty high, and if conditions are bad enough, the resort will cancel the shuttles for the day. We took the shuttle TO the beach, but walked back. Food / Bars: Overall, we found the food at the Warwick to be pretty good. Breakfasts and lunches at the Verandah buffet were pretty consistent, offering lots of options for all tastes. Beside the pool is Chickcharnie's, which offers 'snacky' 'pub-style' food, including burgers, sandwiches, pizza, wings and some drinks, and is avaliable from 10 am to 6 pm. It re-opens later in the evening for sweets (we were never up late enough to partake). Abbiocco (a la carte, Italian) - we ate here one night, and the feeling we were left with was, to be blunt, 'meh.' There seemed to be a long wait for our food, which was just 'average,' and our server didn't even stop by to check until we were done with our main course. We did, however, enjoy our dinner at the Edgewater Grill, where both my wife and I had steak. We did not eat at 'Tings.' As far as the bars go, we had no issues, and didn't find wait times overly long. Hog Bar also offers poolside service, but there CAN be a wait for this, as the server has to take your order, make her way around the pool area, give the order to the bartender, wait for the drinks to be made, then find you again to deliver your beverage. They do the best they can, but that IS a lot of ground to cover. You may be just as well to go to the bar yourself. We only used the Rum Cay bar in the lobby a couple of times, and the service there was fine. Activities: In some ways, I was almost surprised that this hotel had animation staff, given that it was small, and adults-only. They did their best to get people interested, but it often seemed like pulling teeth. Some activities didn't seem to fit, such as, on a beautiful, sunny day, trying to get guests interested in playing billiards indoors. As we were there to relax, we didn't participate in the animation activities. As far as evening entertainment, there is a 'Junkanoo' room for games, DJ, etc., and on some nights, they had a soloist set up on the island in the pool. A couple of times there was live music in the buffet as well, but overall I'd say the talent was mid-level. Other notes: This particular comment is not about Warwick, but rather, our tour provider, Air Canada Vacations. Essentially, we feel that they were 'non-existant' during our trip. Yes, they had a rep waiting when we exited the airport, but all they did was say 'wait here,' which we did....for 45 minutes, until they finally had a bus to take us to our resort. We were given a welcome envelope, inviting us to our orientation session, but there was no time or location listed, and when we called the number provided, no one there seemed to know what we were talking about. There was also no information regarding our pickup time to return to the airport; we had to find this out from the front desk staff. Essentially, we were 'on our own' to find out about the area, and how to get around. With Air Canada looking to purchase Air Transat, I sincerely hope that this isn't an indication of what's in store for the future. Read less

Someone else just wrote a review about not much going on on this island, and I totally agree. You have to leave the grounds to get to a decent beach. The pictures and advertisements are very deceiving. My standards for a beach resort is totally different than this. I will never come back here again. Total disappointment. Read less

I stayed here for 2 nights recently for my boyfriend's birthday/romantic getaway. This was a lovely property in a nice location. I have stayed at the luxury all inclusives, so I wasn't expecting as much at this property, but I was very pleasantly surprised! It is a smaller property, but very nicely appointed and everything was great for our stay. The lobby is beautiful and relaxing. The food was good. We had the breakfast buffet every morning that had a wide variety of foods including a few unique local things. The Italian restaurant had big portions and nice food, though it is very small. The seafood restaurant was nice, but the upgraded meal that was not included was not worth it, in both of our opinions. It was nothing spectacular for an extra $30. I would have gone with the included menu for next time. The service in the hotel was also great. Ms. Debbie in the activities desk was very helpful about helping us make reservations prior to and during our stay, both by email and in person. Gary, our dinner server, was extremely friendly, attentive and welcoming. The spa was amazing - great couples massage with a private bath in the massage suite. That was the perfect start to the day for my boyfriend's birthday. There is a very tiny beach next to the pool if you don't want to leave the property, but it isn't a real beach, it's more of plot of sand where you can dip your toes in the water and enjoy the amenities of the hotel. It's a nice little touch if you want to stay right there. Cabbage Beach is a very short walk (5 - 10 min) and there is a very small shuttle (4 people) that runs back and forth. We walked most of the time and it was a very easy walk. The hotel has a reserved area on the beach where you can get chairs and an umbrella free if they are available, and they have complimentary beer & wine throughout the day, as well as wrap sandwiches at lunch time. It was a very nice amenity for venturing off the property. They have a sign up for the beach chairs and morning shuttle to the beach, which we never signed up for (it fills up quickly in the morning), but still had NO problem enjoying the amenities. We got the free beach chairs the first day, arriving around noon, and had to pay for chairs the second day. The hotel crew at the beach were willing to help us with everything and look out for us when we needed to do business with the other locals on the beach (chairs, parasailing, etc.) Vendors are pushy on the beach, so we always went through the hotel crew for an introduction to vendors. Even when we rented chairs, we set them up where our hotel crew was so that we could enjoy the free beer and wine and stay near where "knew" people. There are travel advisories about vendors on the beaches, so sticking with our hotel crew made us feel extremely safe and well cared for. The whole crew were very friendly and welcoming and made our beach experience really fun! For the value, this is a great property that I would highly recommend. It is also a very short walk (2-3 blocks) to a little shopping area and the bigger promenade for shopping and eating that leads up the Atlantis. Read less

I stayed at the Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas for my birthday May 8 - May 12, 2019. First, I will start by saying when I arrived there was no gift or anything in my room, thanking me for celebrating my birthday at there facility. Second, the food was not good and always cold. They only have four restaurants on the resort and the website stated they have seven. The two restaurants that you have to make reservations for and are only allowed to eat at once was good. However, I tried to order more than one entree and was informed I could only have one entree. I thought this resort was all inclusive? Third, they only served the following top shelf liquor: Hennessy, Jack Daniel's, Crown Royal and Absolut. They were out of each before evening. When asked the bartender informed us they are only allowed to use two bottles PER DAY. I thought this resort was all inclusive? Fourth, they had no good games or activities to keep you busy during your day or stay. The Island has nothing to offer as well besides the Fish Fry and the surrounding bars. Read less
