My friend and I stayed at this hotel in mid-January and thoroughly enjoyed our time. It is not a 5 star resort but it is a very solid 4 star that we found to be perfect for a long weekend getaway. It is located on a small man made sand swimming area and the pool was perfect, it had some shallow areas where you could sit and read your book, which quite frankly is exactly what I wanted. I am not a loud music person but at the beach/pool side with a cold drink it was perfect. They played a variety of music that was perfect for myself and my friend (and if you sit at the other end of the pool the music was quieter - perfect for a nap). The food was great - we quite enjoyed breakfast (they don't advertise it but they will make you a mimosa at breakfast) and the snack bar was my favourite - the wings (chilli) were the best, as were the fries, and the pizza was very solid. If you asked nicely you could get them to make you chilli cheese fries at 11 pm, which lets be honest at 11 pm in the Bahamas after a few drinks is just the ticket! The restaurant on the water was lovely, and our favourite one was the Italian one for dinner, didn't get to try the tings on a stick due to timing. We stayed at the Riu last year and this place was miles above it in food quality. The beach was a short trip away - and the beach chairs were perfect and the beer was good (the only thing I didn't enjoy was the wine). We actually went there for the morning and came back for lunch at the buffet which was better then the wrap - but didn't try the wrap so judging on appearance alone. Note that cabbage beach can get super wavy and so our second trip there we left almost right away on fear of being swept away!! The beach is right beside the RIU/Atlantis beach area so exactly the same beach experience as we had last year at the RIU. The room was a hotel room (hence the 4 star not 5) but it was adequate, good tv channels for movies at night time. Bathroom was small but fine. Walls are super thin, so recommendation to those of you coming with a significant other, or meet someone there.... your neighbours can hear you.... The drinks were great, they don't have all the high end alcohol (but enough to get by), and you have to ask for the "better" stuff each time, but they will use it if they have it, and they will make anything you ask for. I brought an insulated cup with me and it was perfect to keep the drink cold and avoided to use of the single use plastic cup. They are happy to fill it up to the top! They will also make them lighter in the alcohol if you wish as my friend preferred less rum and she said her drinks were great. All in all I had a great time. We felt safe and walked to Atlantis a number of times and over to the shops on our own without any concerns. I would highly recommend this spot if you are looking for an all inclusive in the Bahamas, it was better then the Riu and even though its not on the ocean, I think it is a better choice for food, and people - both guests and staff were all lovely (very few intoxicated people as we saw at the Riu). If you are looking for a more active trip you would have to do excursions, but if you are looking for a low key book based pool trip with good food and alcohol this is a great spot. Read less

I have to say that customer service is outstanding. The staff is very helpful and the manager is on top of everything. I had a problem with the bedsheets and covers; you could tell the sheets were dirty like they even bothered to change them. But I talked to the manager and the problem was resolved quickly. Breakfast was very good, but lunch… Read more

Breakfast was very good, but lunch and dinner were so so. The man-made beach was ok if you don't want to get into the water and just lay and get a suntan. I don't care too much for alcohol so there were no activities at night except to get drunk. They offer you to take you to the Atlantis Hotel but aside from that, nothing else to do. We went to be relaxed and we were relaxed. But definitely is a regular hotel and not a resort. I would come back. Read less

There is nothing they do not serve. you can be quiet and relax or join in the fun. Food is fresh and delicious. The best all-inclusive resort we have ever been to. They have an excursion staff to help arrange off-site adventures. Our room was on the top floor 12 center of building (thank you Chester) and perfect balcony view of the harbor and ocean. I watched the sunrise from the balcony every morning. the staff were incredible, they ended up our friends. We hung out and played cards with activities coordinators, Kyesha (Ky), Deondre, Sammy and the manager Sean. They are incredible. We were sad to leave them!!! Chester who checked us In and Ashton who checked us out were so nice and helpful. Every person from Towels, restaurants, activities, management, housekeeping, bars, life guards, Pool side service, to the gift shop were friendly and frankly AWESOME. We met a family that we are now friends with and other couples that were so lovely. live entertainment was a joy. I am giving a shout Out and big THANK YOU to the following staff at the hotel that made our trip the best. Kyesha - if you read this. you are a dancer!!!
