Very nice, friendly and helpsom staff. Nice room, but a little bit more space would be perfect. The beach was to rough...to many rocks in the water but instead did we enjoy the seaturtles just in front of the Beach.

Overall we enjoyed our stay albeit with one or two small niggles. In terms of location O2 sits at the southern end of St Lawrence Gap just past the last of the recognised bars and restaurants. It’s about a 15 minute walk through the gap to busier northern end where the bigger name restaurants are, but the first bars are just round the corner. Although all Barbados beaches are public the 02 beach is effectively private by virtue of the fact you can’t reach the adjoining bays via the beach. Hence very little hassle from beach traders. Turtles can also be seen at all times coming up for air just off the shore. In terms of the building work referenced in other reviews, it was just ramping up after the Christmas holidays but still wasn’t an issue for us although courtesy transport to their sister hotel or Carlisle Bay was being offered. As occupancy was low post Christmas sun beds were plentiful although it didn’t stop a few usual suspects ignoring the signs not to reserve them. Out they crept anytime after 7am even lying on the bed for a couple of minutes if they thought they’d been spotted. It was great sport watching them from the balcony. There was also a limited amount of scuba and surf equipment in a small cabin but it wasn’t advertised so was just a help yourself option. The low occupancy also meant an upgrade to a front facing studio (room 206 on the 1st floor) which was a result until we started to experience noise interruptions from reception early in the morning and late at night. The problem was that the reception ceiling was between the 1st and 2nd floor so our room door was on an open balcony just above reception. The building design meant that any noise resonated through our room and you could literally hear some louder conversations word for word in the bedroom although shutting the bedroom door kept the worst out. In terms of the room equipment, the washer and coffee machine was broken throughout the fortnight (no great shakes) and the bedroom TV had a very poor picture. Otherwise, it was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were only bed and breakfast and the eating area was outside but undercover and pleasant enough. An egg station allowed some variation although the panini grill needed a good scrub as it was coated in burnt breadcrumbs and fat. Staff were attentive and friendly enough but didn’t compare to our experiences in The Maldives or South Africa for example. Do use the local reggae buses to Oistins, Holetown, Speightstown and adjoining resorts. Great fun at 3.50B$ (£1.70) p.p. for any length of journey and running regularly until after midnight. Taxis are plentiful but expensive The area was totally safe to walk around at any time of the day. For consistently good snacks meals and cheaper beers use Pronto just 5 minutes from the hotel and for special meals try Harlequin and push the boat out at Champers in the next resort which was phenomenal. We enjoyed Mimosas and Cafe Sol for mid range bites. For a day out try the Calabraza catamaran which was a holiday highlight for us. Read less

loved the privacy of location and seclusion, that made my choice much easier and the quiet location away from the traffic and the beach serenity. the only issue i had was pool hours for closing time, i wish they would have had the pool open till a bit later like maybe 11ish...

Pools were good and great for kids. We had been on a cruise and the room we had contained a kitchen and washing machine etc so we were able to lighten the load on return home. The beach was good however. Be careful if you are taking children as the sea was very rough and very stony underfoot footwear was required. They have some building work next door for the next 12 months but they do offer you alternative beaches and supply a free shuttle to them. Read less

My wife and I stayed at Ocean Two in early January 2020 for 7 nights. Our entire experience was perfect, including the amazing staff, our wonderful suite, comfortable beds, great amenities and good food. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly, and we could find no fault in this resort (which is rare). The rooms are clean, modern and have all the amenities we expected (and more). Our one bedroom with kitchen and Ocean Views was perfect. There are ample chairs, loungers, etc.. by the beach and we never found any difficulty in securing a comfortable spot to relax. The property is very compact, which we viewed as a good thing. For those looking for a massive, sprawling resort with ten different restaurants and bars, Ocean Two is not for you. The complimentary breakfast was very good, and I cannot understand why anyone would give it a negative review. That being said, it is definitely not a sprawling, massive spread of food. If that is what you are looking for, go spend $1500 per night at Sandals which is next door. My most significant compliment to Ocean Two is their excellent staff. I was treated warmly and and with professional service, without exception. Thank you! Read less
