We stayed in a ground floor garden apartment in the Sea Grape Block which very peaceful not too much road noise at all. The kitchen is extremely well equipped for all levels of catering. We cooked breakfast most days.

This was our second visit to Barbados , both times we have stayed at Beachview and have not been disappointed . I think it represents excellent value for money for the quality of the accommodation ( compared to other west coast hotels) and the location is very good . It is directly across the road from a small beach which is lovely , and usually quiet . You can walk further along Payne’s Bay, for bigger beaches but these are home to the beachfront hotels with their own sun beds or people trying to sell you sun beds . (You can borrow beach chairs , parasols and snorkels etc from Beachview). The road noise is perhaps the only downside for me on the beach , and depending on your accommodation or which pool you choose , this could irritate you . This is outweighed for me by the lovely, spacious well equipped accommodation for a reasonable price for the west coast and cleaned daily. The grounds are beautiful , even on the new part of the resort , the grounds are well planted . Robin the owner runs a very tight ship and is never far away if you need anything . The reception staff are also very helpful and happy to book trips and taxis for you . There is a new spa and a gym which we didn’t use , and a new bar / cafe . We had a drink at the bar one evening and ate lunch there on our last day . The quality and price again were good and we regretted not using it more during our weeks holidays. Robin organises a weekly drinks party at his beautiful home for all guests including transport . which is another highlight of the stay at Beachview. I have given Beachview feedback that I would prefer to preselect my accommodation in future paying more if necerssary , as although I’ve been lucky with my two visits on the accommodation allocated , some apartments don’t have a sea view , and others are very close to the road or dont have balconies . The consistent excellent reviews are well justified . Read less

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are big (sometimes way too big!). We had a 3 bedroom apartment (really big!). The hotel had a roach spray on the kitchen counter, I spotted as soon as we walk in. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are big (sometimes way too big!). We had a 3 bedroom apartment (really big!). The hotel had a roach spray on the kitchen counter, I spotted as soon as we walk in. I have to say this was not the first thing I was to see when I get into a hotel room. We put the spray away but at night, in the kitchen, some of us spotted small roaches under the cabinets. Well, it was hot and this is the Caribbean so we expect this. The hotel location is right in front of the beach BUT you have to cross a 2 way street to get to the beach. The hotel does not put anyone to help you cross the busy road. As soon as you get to the beach (Sandy Lane Bay) there is no chair from the hotel waiting for you, the beach is not fantastic clean and has many cement rock peaces from a "small wall" that does not look good. Our room was in the first floor with the "view" of the beach, many electrical wires block the beautiful view. This was the down side. We felt safe in the hotel, the people are really nice, the parking was fantastic and the location was great. We took a bus ones and the bus stop is right outside of the hotel. If you do not have car, you can walk to the gas station to buy snacks. The hotel also have a restaurant cafe witch is very good. Read less

Friendly staff here. Good room very spacious. Exceptionally well maintained and the cleaner was first rate. Our week was quiet but the last day was first of half-term and hordes of children arrived! Glad we left but we’re back for another week in a week’s time.

Once we entered the room we were in love. French doors allowing lots of natural light unto an outdoor sitting area with a beautiful garden and other beautiful units next door. It felt like being part of an upscale community. Everything was modern and fresh. A kitchenette with coffee maker and all the utensils you may need. The unit was very spacious with lots of space for two. A kingsized bed and double sinks in the bathroom. The room and grounds are kept clean and to a very high standard. There is an excellent restaurant on property serving great meals. But there are other options for dining nearby, including a supermarket. The beach across the road, provides excellent tanning opportunities and spectacular sunsets. There are 3 pools on property including one exclusively for the little ones. But what we enjoyed the most and what was totally unexpected is the manager,s invitation for a cocktail party at his house. A stunning and beautiful home overlooking the ocean which provided the opportunity to mingle with the other guests. That was definitely the right touch to an already fantastic stay.We did have a delay with our early morning taxi out. So I suggest getting the taxi,s name and number when booking. Enjoy your time at Beach View, it is definitely worth the stay. Read less
