We chose Beach View based on TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. We had high expectations and these were surpassed by the wonderful staff, villa, grounds, food and location of this wonderful family-run hotel. The cocktail evening at the owner's house was a very enjoyable evening. Highly recommended - we can't wait to return!

Friendly staff, immaculate rooms. Located right next to the beach and the cliff restaurant. I was only there for a couple of days but it couldn't have been a nicer trip. Would definitely recommend and will try to stay for longer next time!

We’ve a family of 4 with 2 kids 9 and 11 and just returned from 10 days at the Beach View. It was good. But not amazing. The highlights of our holiday were all to do with experiences we had outside the hotel. Beach View isn’t really a resort in the classic sense but a collection of buildings - some new, some older opposite the Cliff Beach Club and a rocky outcrop near Payne’s Beach. Don’t expect a lush, beautiful and peaceful beachside resort. Although the grounds are well maintained, it's really not that. As has been said before, Beach View sits across a road from the rocks / beach. That road is busy and noisy. There’s just no getting away from it. The real positives are the rooms which are large, with huge beds and very comfortable and the staff who were great - very friendly. The Sugar Apple cafe on site is fine for breakfast but super basic. But there are loads of great places to eat nearby. The pools - three of them - are good, clean, plenty of sunbeds. A car is essential. Hire one and explore as some of the beaches nearby are phenomenal. You may well have read that Barbados has got super expensive recently though. Unfortunately that really is true. Eating out, even at fairly simple places, has got ridiculous. A lot of people will feel priced out and go elsewhere. If you are planning on visiting the island though, Beach View is a decent base to explore from. Read less
