We have just returned from a fantastic 14 day holiday. On arriving until leaving all the staff were both professional and friendly and could not do enough for you. We stayed in a classic suite in the original part of the complex and whilst the rooms are a little dated, the room size, lounge and patio area were enormous which made up for this. We also had a room with a sea view and facing the pool area which was an added bonus. There is some noise from the road but not an issue unless you normally struggle sleeping. On site there is The Hut which sells basic essentials and car hire. Whilst the basics are more expensive than the supermarkets as they are on site it is very convenient. We also ate at The Sugar Cafe on a number occasions for lunch and attended an evening BBQ and the food and service were both excellent. One of the highlights of the stay was the invite for drinks at the owners villa. We felt privileged to be invited and this is a must if you stay here. The complex is situated across from a small beach over the road. However if you walk an additional 15-20 minutes you will reach the main part of Payne’s Beach. This is great for swimming or sunbathing and you can hire sun beds. There is a small vendor where you can purchase excellent local food and drinks. There are plenty of restaurants near the hotel both casual and finer dining. Our favourites were Cariba, Karibu and Sunday lunch at The Beach Cliff (also sells pastries in a morning). We also ate out in Hole Town at The Mews (locally sourced food) and Zaccios which has a fantastic bar area by the sea and cheaper than over venues on the sea. We would highly recommend this area of the island and would not hesitate to stay again in either the classic suites or a villa. This was our first visit to Barbados but will definitely not be the last. A fantastic place to sleep, eat and relax! Read less

We were booked to stay at Beach View for one night pre-cruise. 5 hours after arriving from the Uk the cruise was cancelled as a result of the Coronavirus 19; it was 10 pm and the staff were superb, calming efficient and helpful. They arranged for us to stay until we could get a flight home. We were in ones of the new hotel rooms, which was a match for any of the 5 star hotels we have stayed in on Barbados. The gardens are beautiful and although the world was being* turned upside down we enjoyed our stay. Can’t wait to return to this hidden gem. Read less

We found ourselves at Beach View for the 9th consecutive time and then the Novel CoronaVirus-19 descended upon the world with a vengeance. Despite the disquieting news Beach View soldiered on with staff continuing their routines and delivering exemplary service in one of the best run small hotels we have stayed in world wide. We made considerable use of the Sugar Apple Cafe (at least one meal a day) where Mike, Fernando and team were friendly and attentive as usual. The location of Beach View is a key asset as well. Just a little south of Holetown it is ideally situated on Payne's Bay with a quiet beach at hand. There are a number of excellent restaurants close at hand which we tried. The Cliff Beach Club has been a consistent favourite of ours as has Scarlet both within a 3-5 minute walk. We also had afternoon tea at Sandy Lane which was wonderful and a lovely dinner at The Tides. We also thoroughly enjoyed Nishi in Holetown which we would highly recommend. Overall, I would highly recommend Beach View again and trust that when we are through the current difficulties and we will be through it eventually that others will consider bestowing their patronage on this wonderfully run establishment. Looking forward to next year. Perhaps 10 times is a charm. Read less

Hotel was tip top but it was the staff who really made the difference. So very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble - everyone from the top man, Robin, to the gate man. A particular highlight was cocktails at Robin's stunning cliff side home, such a lovely gesture and much enjoyed.
