Hi, I want to mention in case the stuff of the hotel want to take action. My very bad experience at the Sweet and coffee. First, Im diamond, when I bought a membership the hotel promised me best service, It happened, but, sometimes some people don’t understand they work for palace and this is different , they got me waiting 30 minutes for a piece of cake for my son on Sweet and coffee, the excuse was they cannot cut the one was there , Ok I said Im going to wait, after 30 minutes a group of people ask for the same and they cut the one that they said no to me . I get my own answer asking to me why here I didn’t see to much diamonds and residents. Im going to Le blanc next month, I will make sure to find the appropriate person to express my opinion about the situation and name of the girl that serviced me this day😔 Read less

It was my first time in Mexico and I took my elderly mother with me during this vacation. We absolutely loved our experience. The entire staff who we encountered were very warm and helpful, we felt home by how attentive they were. No wonder people keep returning to this place. I have met two couples who told me that they have been coming back to this place for more than 10 years and they love how the staff are so warm and attentive. I AGREE! Also, this place is extremely near to the famous 5th ave, shopping district and the pier to Cozumel. The location is fantastic. The food here is very good, the quality of food is very good as well. We were very happy about our meals and food. If you plan to stay here which I highly recommend, please do not skip the Awe Spa experience. Our experience was excellent. The staff were awesome and the Spa facility is wonderful. I plan to return to this location next year with my girlfriends. Read less

Having stayed in countless 4.5/5 star Mexican hotels, I would say this one is very good, but not great. Having stayed in countless 4.5/5 star Mexican hotels, I would say this one is very good, but not great. Straight off, if you want an expansive beach or poolside seating with umbrellas, you won’t get it here. The beach is minimal, not that it bothered me, but if it’s your thing, this is not the place to be. The beach is enough for loungers and volleyball though, and has beautiful sand and stunning water. I was happy with it. But it’s not a palm tree oasis, if that’s what you want. The pool loungers….ugh. Every lounger with an umbrella is reserved for members. Literally. Every. Day. So if you aren’t a member, and you want shade from 31 degrees and 82% humidity, this is not the place for you. This is the deal breaker for me. The staff are great, but to be fair, I’ve found every Mexican hotel to be that way. Mexicans have mastered the art of customer service. The food is very good, although I would say not as good as a few other hotels we have been in. Where this hotel excels: the location. Wander out the front door, you are in the prime zone of 5th avenue. You are not banished to the boonies like many resorts. Another thing it does well; with only 200 rooms, nothing feels packed. The loungers aren’t rammed together, no line-ups to breakfast..,,it feels laid back. I was worried about the size of the pool but honestly, it was mostly empty. A chill vibe. This hotel doesn’t scream with little children. Not that type of place. A few kicking about, but it’s not a place catering to them. We have a teenager and she loves it here. The room we had was very noisy and awkward. I doubt most rooms are this way; bad luck for us. The ridiculous oversized hot tub took up a third of the room and cramped us. It was awkward to access the balcony because of it. With local Mexicans facing complete drought and no water, it seems out of touch. We would rather have the space. Anyhow, something the hotel should consider. At the Grand Moon, the rooms are bigger and it’s easier to ignore! I like the location and vibe of this hotel but agree that it’s a bit dated. It could use a facelift. Nothing stands out as being “fantastic” or “luxurious”. Just a solid hotel that doesn’t overly stand out. Read less
