We visited Secrets Maroma Beach for a birthday trip. It was such a wonderful experience that my husband said we should go there for every birthday! Before we arrived the resort contacted us to know about food allergies, special occasions, and other info. This made me feel like they were already preparing to do whatever they could to help us have a great vacation. We when arrived, check-in was a breeze. Our room was ready. The room was beautifully designed. I appreciated that the bathroom had doors to give a little more privacy (not always the case at resorts). The room was clean and the ac worked well. Paola, our concierge, was ready to help us with info about our room and the resort. She helped us with reservations for beach or pool beds. She made a point of doing special things on my birthday (Thank you Paola!). We looked forward to talking to her each day. The food at the resort was delicious. I have food allergies. I appreciated the dairy free and gluten free options as well as the signage on most menus or buffets letting me know what was safe to eat. I also loved that we didn't have to make reservations for the restaurants. It's just one less thing to do on vacation! The gym was small but in good working order. The beach was stunning. Yes, sargassum is still an issue in Mexico. But it was cleaned up throughout the day and did not pose a problem for us. Juan, who helped us at the pool bed we reserved, and Enrique and Gaspar down at the beach beds, were wonderful to work with. No one asked us for a review. I just wanted to make sure to acknowledge that they made our stay even that much more special and we appreciated them. I also appreciated the man (I can't remember his name) who greeted us at breakfast and remembered our drink orders from the day before. Amazing! The resort was a great size. It was easy to navigate. The landscaping was beautiful. The grounds, pools and bathrooms were well-maintained. There were always activities to do if we wanted to do something other than read and relax. We enjoyed the miniature golf course one night. The noise level was good. That might sound weird, but I've stayed at another all-inclusive where we had to yell to hear each other over the booming music at the pool. I appreciated all the friendly people we met who worked there. We were always greeted with a smile. It felt like they were happy and that just upped the happy feelings we were already getting at Secrets! We've stayed at many highly rated all-inclusive resorts in Mexico. Secrets Maroma Beach tops the list for us. Read less

Having just returned to work, I find myself frequently looking at my photos from Secrets Maroma Beach Resort, and lamenting WHY DID I LEAVE PARADISE??? We stayed at this luxe all-inclusive from April 14th through the 19th. I have not one single complaint. I also cannot say I was even neutral on any issue. The weakest adjective I can use to describe the time spent there was "splendid" and to be honest, "Perfection" (cap P intended) is the only word that I can come up with to encapsulate the experience. Paola, Bldg. 14 Concierge, is an incredible resource. Not only is she a delight, she is funny, sweet and very intelligent. She is also efficient and hard-working. All of that, and she completely made us feel like we were family as well as very special guests. I miss her! Raul at the Seaside Grill managed our dining experience there to perfection! He answered our questions about the Chef's Special (octopus) and the various cuts of beef on the menu honestly and expertly. Marisol provided excellent service as the various delights were delivered: the salmon mousse, Cobb salad, Saint Germain cream soup, Picanha, Argentinean Chorizo, and Octopus. Each of these were cooked to perfection and thoroughly delicious. While all of our meals at the resort were well enjoyed, this experience was the penultimate. Of course the wonderful breeze and the romantic setting only enhanced our experience at this dinner. Julio, our Concierge at the beach, offered excellence in all he did for us. We didn't even have time to voice a request as he adeptly anticipated our needs and took care of them expertly. Ice, shade, extra towels, sunglass cleaning... and more. In fact, that is the very thing that I appreciated most from my time spent at this resort: how well I was cared for by the staff named here and by the countless staff I did not mention. As someone who has provided attentive care for those around me (parents, spouse, my children, and my students), it was truly delightful to have someone take such good care of me... to have someone pay attention to my needs and address them before I could. It was a revelation really, to find that the staff at Secrets Maroma spoke to me in a way that truly mattered to me. It was pure bliss. And speaking of bliss, can I just mention the unadulterated joy of turn-down service? OHMYGOODNESS! Yes, I will return. Read less

Absolutely amazing...from the staff to the views! You never wanted for anything! We had the ocean view preferred club junior suite in building 16..only building 17 was between us and the beach. We also had the top floor so our view was absolutely amazing! The room had a jacuzzi tub as well as a hot tub on the balcony. We did enjoy the preferred room as you do have access to a private restaurant which serves breakfast and lunch as well as top shelf liquors as well as a preferred club side of the beach that is super nice and very quiet. Ana took great care of us each day! You also get a complimentary beach bag as a souvenir and a pass each day for hydro therapy at the spa and it is absolutely phenomenal!! Emmanuel was our concierge and he didn't miss anything including making sure Cesar was there to pick up our luggage in time for departure! There is an iPad in the room that made it very easy to order room service, get upgraded pillows, check the daily activities, etc. We atr the buffet at world Cafe most mornings as Adolfina made the best crepes and the selection was amazing from sweet to savory! There are activities going on all day so you will never get bored if you want to be active! And the food is plentiful. Victor also made me a crepe by the pool one day, also equally amazing! They have a place to get a pizza made to order and it only takes about 3 minutes as well as a place next to it to get nachos, hot dogs, hamburger, poke bowls, etc and all the food is wonderful. We did eat at seaside one evening as we forgot to pack long pants and close toed shoes for my husband and Orlando took great care of us during our meal! If you like night life they have shows nightly as well as a karaoke bar! You can also get coffee or a milkshake 24 hours a day at Coco! If you like water activities use aquaworld on property. David and Oscar are absolutely amazing and the scuba diving is really good. You do have to swim out to the boat but just pack your gear bag with some essentials and you'll be fine. A great resort for a romantic getaway and we saw some beautiful weddings! Read less

We have been thee many times but our holiday was still amazing Also there was a welkome back token at the door of our room and our conciërge was waiting to explain everything. The food was excellent, drinks of high quality and the whole resort including our room kept very clean. But the best was the fact that everyone from the staff was very helpful and very very friendly. Just to mention some people like Bramdon,Edy and waiter Alfredo at the Pool and our conciërge Miguel. All of you made us feel at home. So thank you all for giving us a great holiday. Given the great experience i've had at other hotels of the same category managed by Hyatt, this particular resort was wildly disappointing. My main issue was the food and drinks here. At one point, the wedding guests had to resort to eating the instant ramen one of us brought along with us.
