PURE® Alcoba Rooms are accommodations specifically designed to promote a better night's sleep, especially for allergy sufferers. PURE rooms undergo an additional seven-step cleaning process on-top of the usual cleaning protocol to include an air-purification system and hypoallergenic encasements for the mattresses and pillows, with an outdoor hydro tub and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Alcoba Ocean View Rooms offer views of the ocean from the private terrace, an outdoor hydro tub, and either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults. 

Alcoba Swim-Up Pool Rooms feature direct pool access from the balcony and elevated lounge chairs, with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults. 

Alcoba Ocean Front Rooms feature panoramic views of the ocean from the outdoor hydro spa tub and lounging area, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults. 

Estancia Suites offer tropical views with a hydro spa tub on the terrace as well as the bathroom, separate living area, and bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Estancia 1-Bedroom Suites feature a large living room, ocean views from the terrace, outdoor hydro tub, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Estancia 2-Bedroom Suites are as above, with the addition of a second bedroom with 2 queen-size beds and a second outdoor hydro tub, sleeping maximum 6 adults.

We had an amazing experience on our week long vacation, especially with the help of our butlers Alexander and Alejandro! Both were extremely helpful and could not have been more attentive or knowledgeable. Overall, I do not think our trip would have been the same without them! Could not recommend enough.

The experience at Unico 20 87 is not like any other we have had. The service, decor, and restaurants are so refined. Our assistants/butlers Carlos and Eduardo Mena guided us through the perfect week. They were the most attentive assistants with dinners, car transfers for golf, setting up chairs at the pool and shows, and anything else we may have required. They even surprised my husband with a birthday celebration! We loved the different cuisines offered, traditional Mexican, Japanese, Italian, and a steak house like grill. From the minute you step into the restaurants, hostesses like Diana and Margaret are ready to seat you at the best tables. Then waiters like Daniel, Henrry, Hosa, Miguel go above and beyond to serve and make your meal the best experience. The managers like Gustavo at grill 20 87 make you feel like family, always welcomed! The pool side service is just as good as the restaurants. Javier, Paul and Alexandos always have towels, food and drinks handy. The spa is another must to experience. I had the Harmony spa treatment and Perla gave one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Erica at the spa was so gracious helping me with my hydro experience. Susi was at the nail salon and gave a wonderful pedicure/manicure. Just a last note to add to our wonderful experience at Unico. Our last breakfast at Grill 20 87 Andrea was our waitress. We asked for pineapple juice instead of orange. Although it wasn’t available that morning, she went to another restaurant and had it freshly squeezed, wow was that a treat. When I'm at the pool or on the beach, I want a book! Maria tracked down some lost-and-found books for me and made sure that I had reading material. What a sweetheart. She totally made my trip. Thank you Maria! Our room safe had all sorts of issues and we had to call to get it fixed three separate times throughout our visit. That was a pain, but all the maintenance people who came to fix it were very kind. Read less

This was a gorgeous resort and very well maintained. We had high expectations going into a couples only getaway for a milestone birthday and anniversary trip. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted but quickly realized we were being pitched to for some kind of member/timeshare-like commitment and asking to sit through a 90 minute presentation in exchange for free massage or boat trip, etc. They were very pushy and we we finally relented. Our second day of "vacation" was spent listening to a very intense sales pitch in an inside sales room for 2 1/2 hours and being sold on this vacation membership/timeshare package. It was extremely off-putting and I immediately regretted agreeing to this and wasting much-needed relaxing time being pressured into a large financial investment. They did honor the free massages afterwards but just left me with a not-great-feeling for the rest of the trip. The food was average, the drinks were super sugary and watered down, and the service was very slow. (I once waited over an hour for a hot dog that I had to order twice, despite us regularly tipping the staff). I was excited for some Mexican guacamole and it was subpar and they gave you about a tablespoon with each order of "chips and guac". I really wanted to love this place, and I did enjoy the pool and the atmosphere and weather. The DJ at the pool was great and also enjoyed that it had a "quiet pool" if you weren't up for the music. The beach was small and service was even slower since they had to travel all the way back to the bar to bring everything. I mentioned numerous times we were celebrating a milestone birthday and anniversary and little was really done to recognize this. The best we got was some balloons in the room and a bottle of cheap champagne. Overall the staff was very pleasant and the resort itself was beautiful. However I would not recommend it as a 5 star all inclusive.... Read less
