The Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

The hotel

Concierge service. Michelin stars. Exclusive beach club. This shouldn’t be just how ‘the other half’ live — so The Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real promises it all. With luxuries usually only expected by VIPs, it sits on one of the island’s most elite shores, Playa de Bávaro, and hosts a total of 10 dining venues across the resort, including an adults-only restaurant headed by Martin Barasategui, whose innovative flair has won him eight Michelin stars. Making it easy for you to feel indulged, days can be spent escaping it all around the pool, lazing on the uber-comfy poolside ‘Bali beds’, or taking a break from the sun with a class in floristry or a spot of wine tasting. When I went to The Reserve at Paradisus Pinta Cana I was offered so many am duties and extra things with out even asking. They made sure that everything we needed was taken care of. I highly recommend you get Family Concierge if you go with family and if you go with only adults you should get Royal Service. There are little extra things that they do for you if you get these things. They assign people to help you with your every need if you get Family Concierge or Royal Service. The restaurants are exquisite and have very many different types of food. The beaches are beautiful and private only to the resort, you can rent cabanas a and the ocean waters are so turquoise you can all the way to the ocean floor!! I guarantee that if you stay at the Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana you will have a very pleasant and enjoyful stay. Read less

If you are looking for a hotel that exceeds your expectations then this is the place for you. From the moment we arrived to the day we left we were treated like royalty. our concierge even followed up with us upon our return to London. very unexpected but a touch of class. The master suites are huge and ooze luxury, so much space, huge living area with sofa beds, a kitchenette, lovely bedroom with 2 queens leading onto a very spacious balcony with spectacular views. The bathroom has a large jacuzzi with separate area housing the toilet and shower. Rooms are cleaned daily and beds turned down. Our concierge surprised the kids each evening with little touches that made them feel special (jacuzzi balloon bubble baths, scented pillows and a whole personalised gift hamper on arrival). The restaurants are fabulous, all booked in advance by our private concierge; Passion restaurant is a must for the adults (an extra cost) but an experience you will not forget. The resort is huge and the shuttle service frequent to whisk you off to another breathtaking experience, you never feel crowded and the staff are amazing, the beach is just awesome although a lot of seaweed in the water. We were really impressed with the night entertainment at the theatre and main lobby, in our view this was a lot better than the beach bar / disco entertainment. The family concierge go out of their way to ensure you have an all inclusive holiday without any fuss. Beers and bubbles were delivered to our room on ice each night (at no extra cost), a private cabana at the pool was booked for our 10 night stay in advance which was pure bliss. A morning on the beach followed by an afternoon at the pool became the norm. the pool staff were amazing and provided activities each day (foam parties, water aerobics. paddle boarding, painting, candle making, dance classes etc....). A huge thank you to the staff for making our stay so memorable, in particular Sandra (our family concierge) - she is an angel and deserves special praise from her employers. Also a huge congratulations to Thomas who has nailed the superior hospitality that this hotel has to offer. I highly recommend this hotel, book it - you will not be disappointed! Read less

Nice area stayed on in the resort. Lots of options for food but somehow it all tasted the same. The bar was great, Must try a mamajuana. After arriving we did pay for the upgrade and was moved closer to the beach but right outside the garden shed. They start working early. Nice getaway not sure if we will do-over.

I am shocked and disappointed that after having an Hermès necklace stolen from our Suite management has determined that they will not reimburse me for it since no one admitted stealing it. Unbelievable right?
