The pools are crystal clear and not heavy with chemicals. Our first room had an issue with the A/C. After one attempt to fix which failed, we were promptly moved to a new room and had no further issues at the resort. The complimentary massages were incredible, but the spa itself was in disrepair and was disappointing (not a key feature for me though). The restaurants were great and food was a highlight for us. The staff at this resort is what made our stay so excellent. Every staff member performs their job well and seems to truly enjoy being of service. We loved Jimmy, Alejandra and Adrian. Our favorite staff member was Jairo! I'd go back in a heartbeat! Read less

We planned our visit for summer of 2020, then came Covid. We rescheduled for 2021 and were able to get a few upgrades since prices were lower. Zoëtry is my first all inclusive experience. We picked it for the quiet, spa like attributes. We wanted to relax, no worries, no kids, adult beverages, good food etc. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Enrique was our “person”. He was super! Anything we asked for or needed, he made happen! Including seaweed removal at the beach! Alexandra was amazing at keeping us hydrated with adult beverages! Piry, aka “Black Thunder” was a source of great laughter and lead a team of fitness guys. The girls I was with did some classes, I choose to float in the pool. Everyone was always invited to attend and participate, but I never felt pressure. We absolutely loved our room. Food was from ok to awesome. I would have liked to try some more authentic Dominican choices. The service in room and at restaurants was top notch, every time. One friend had some hardships with her room. While it was difficult, it was remedied. Ruby & Lucy in the office were so much fun to talk to and learn from. They are the type people I’d be friends with in the real world. Covid notes... awesome accommodations for testing prior to leaving. Staff always masked. Guests unmasked. Hand sanitizer always available. Temps taken before entering restaurants. Well done. I felt very safe. We will plan another visit. How could we not? I miss my Zoëtry familia. Read less

My wife and I chose Zoetry Agua Punta Cana as our honeymoon location, and we absolutely could not have chosen a better place. I'll quickly summarize our experience, list the employees who went above and beyond already extraordinary service, and list the very few cons that come to mind. We spent 6 days/5 nights there. We flew into PUJ Airport and were then given a ~30 min van ride to the resort. Upon entry, we were greeted very professionally and within 5 minutes were experiencing the luxury of the resort. Don't skip the welcome tea. Wiris Guzman completed our check in, he also handled a room upgrade after we arrived. He was very accommodating to us. It wasn't long after our tiresome day of travel that we were in our newly upgraded room. My wife and I don't drink, and as the night went on we quickly realized the room upgrade had us central to the late night gatherings in the resort. While this would be a priority room for most, it presented a problem for us. I approached Wiris with the issue, and within the hour he and the manager Francisco Garcia came to my room to offer me a tour of a few other rooms. I didnt meet any resistance at all trying to change my room, so that was a great experience. I was assigned a conceirge for the duration of my stay, one Jean Carlos. Whatever expectations I had for what a conceirge would be, Jean easily surpassed them all. Any particular issue I had, Jean handled with care, precision, and speed. I just cannot say enough about how positive my experience at zoetry was, thanks to the time and effort put into it by Jean. Day after day during our stay, he consistently completed any request I had. We had a romantic dinner for two on the beach, served by Eduardo Alcantara. Eduardo was polite and perceptive, and made my wife and I feel like celebrities dining on the bachelor. Jean worked with me to make it a romantic evening full of surprises for my wife. Overwhelmingly positive experience and I highly recommend. And this is all without mentioning the spa yet. The crown jewel of zeotry, it is an experience worth having. My wife and I had a number of services provided to us, each of which were great. She had an extracting facial performed by Romervi, she had two massages performed by Romervi and by Wanda, she had her makeup styled similar to Dominican Culture by Wanda, and I had two massages performed by Olga. Yesenia, one of the hostesses, greeted us quickly, answered any questions we had, and always made us feel welcome. The services are worth every dollar we spent. There are only a few cons of the all inclusive resort. One is the beach had a lot of seaweed the time of year we went, it made swimming in the ocean a little troublesome. Two, we didn't feel it was ethical to support the subcontracting companies in the dominican republic that used animals as part of their business. I felt the horses could have been taken care of more, and the businesses that are allowed to stroll the beach with pet monkeys on leashes should be banned from entry. I understand it's a different country though, I just wouldn't participate in those activity next time now that I know. Three, and this could be a pro or con, the food is so exceptionally cultured that depending on the chef it can be prepared differently each time you order it. Good if you want to try new things each time, bad if you just want something you already had. It isn't every time, but it's enough to warrant mentioning. Overl, A+ experience and we will be back. First, this is a fabulous resort, and we very much enjoyed our stay there. This was our second time at Zoetry Punta Cana. The food is very good, the location is wonderful with breezes off the ocean, lovely pools and a beautiful facility. It is easy to relax and we very much enjoyed our time there. That being said, there were a couple places where they were off their game from last time. The wellness center - particular the hydro circuit - is a big draw for us. Unfortunately multiple parts of the facility were out of service, this included the steam room, the shower, and the jets under chaises in the pool. This was disappointing. Additionally part of the appeal of the pool is that it is supposed to be chilled, but the temperature varied by day. Additionally the showers in the room lacked hot water or the hot water took ten minutes to come online. We had two rooms and this was a problem in both rooms. Not being able to get a hot shower before you check out was no fun. Also the lights on our patio did not work - that really precluded eating dinner on our patio. Zoetry also needs to figure out the climate control in the restaurants. We had great food at the italian restaurant, but eating dinner on leather chairs in 80 degree heat makes it somewhat hard to enjoy yourself. Room service also had a number of attention to detail mistakes, including calling us at 5:30 AM (when we were sleeping) because they confused our order with another, and sending the wrong items to us during a few breakfasts. Finally we had a butler at both of visits. Our first visit, the butler was very attentive and solicitous and really added greatly to our experience. For example we spent a great deal of time in our plunge pool on our first visit, and we would see him regularly and he was extremely helpful and engaging. The butler we had assigned this time was good, but just not at the high level of service we had come to expect from our last visit. We never saw him other than when we passed him as we walked around. Again, this is a great resort and we will probably be back, but something was off this visit -- maybe its coming out of COVID or something, but when we visited the first time, they had an AMAZING A-game that wowed and overwhelmed us, this time it was very nice, but not as awesome as last time. Zoetry is an excellent resort that caters directly to you. They will wait on you hand and foot if you wish, or let you be if not. Our butler, Wiris, was exceptional. Anything I asked of him was done very quickly, and he helped me resolve a major issue without me having to do anything (more on that later). This resort is very far away from everything, so be mindful of that if you plan on going into Punta Cana as it will be a $60+ cab each way. And if you do any excursions, your travel time will be long. First off, let me say that this is not the place to go if you want to socialize with others or party. For us, we wanted a quiet place where we could get away from our currently stressful lives, and this was the perfect place. This is not a place for kids, as they will get very bored. This was in July of 2021, so covid was still underway, but I would venture to say that there is a 1:1 ratio of staff to guests. There are 3 bars, I think, even though we only ever saw 2, and their hours are somewhat odd. If I remember right, the pool bar closes at 5 or 6, and the lobby bar closes at 11. As for the food, it is good, but there seemed to be a language barrier almost every time we ordered, as the food we ordered was different than what we received. But it was never so wrong that we had them remake, although they would gladly have done so. Room service was great and very quick. But even if you ordered the same thing twice, you are probably getting something a little different each time. This could be due to who the cook was at that time. The coffee shop drinks are not similar to what we have in the states, Coffee is strong with just a hint of the flavor you may be used to. Nonetheless, we really enjoyed the food. If you are going for the beach, this is not the place. You need to go to the south side of the DR for a good beach. The east coast is covered in seaweed on the shore and in the water, but the beach was not a concern for us. If you are looking to completely get away from technology, you may have trouble. To get ahold of your butler you use Whatsapp, and to view the menu’s at the restaurants you scan a QR code on your phone (Covid safeguard). I assume you could call your butler on your room phone and ask for a physical menu, but it’s not as seamless of an experience. Here is my only beef with this resort, and it may not even be a slight concern for most: The cigar shop on site sells fake Cuban cigars (Cigars not made in Cuba with a fake band) while telling you they are real. I am not knocking stars off of this review for this experience, because of how it was rectified, but this was extremely frustrating. The cigar shop is actually ran by a vendor, not Zoetry themselves, but as someone who enjoys cigars, I went into the shop and had a back and forth with the shopkeeper on some Cuban Cohiba cigars. I ended up haggling down to $325 for 10 cigars (This is right in line with the pricing you can get elsewhere for this certain cigar). I was happy and went back to the room, because I was SURE that a resort this nice and expensive would not sell counterfeit cigars. I got online just to make sure, and compare the bands to the real bands, and they were clearly fake. I quickly messaged our butler, who after a few hours got a hold of the vendor and had them agree to return our money. I walked in the next morning and my money was returned. I looked, and there is at least one review on Trip Advisor complaining about these fake Cubans. Zoetry responded saying they will look into this problem, yet it still persists. A top resort like this should not subject their guests to a cigar shop selling fakes. All in all, this is a fantastic resort and is perfect for couples wanting to get away. But stay away from the Cigar Shop. Read less
