On arrival we were shown to our exquisite room (number 10) which was a large king bedded decorated in white and grey with a pool at the back. Later in our stay we moved to Room 16 which was my favourite....the room was divided into two - sitting room and bedroom with a huge bathroom and to top it off it had a small pool with loungers, chairs and a table and an outside bath. The evening meal in Rhodes Restaurant was varied and offered daily specials - all cooked to perfection. The staff were attentive and were happy to customise a meal if you wanted to omit/add. The beach restaurant was just lovely - we could have had a splendid breakfast served on our balcony but we chose to walk a very short distance to sit by the sea. Enormous choice at breakfast...I did have most things but my favourite was the cinnamon toast. We also had lunch here daily - great menu with lots of choice. Whilst there we both had a massage at the spa - Rosemary was extremely good and we both came away feeling cosseted and relaxed. Big shout out to all the staff - always smiling and went out of their way to help in any way possible. Cannot recommend Calabash more highly - we went for a relaxing 12 days and came away feeling happy and rested Read less

We loved our short stay (2 nights) last November. Our expectations were high, given that Calabash is TripAdvisor’s number 1 hotel in Grenada, but they were met and even exceeded during our stay. The room, a Junior Suite, was wonderful! Stylish, spacious and relaxing at the same time. A freestanding bathtub was a nice surprise. We also loved the pool, al fresco breakfasts on our balcony and the general quiet vibe of the hotel. The staff was probably the best we have encountered anywhere in Grenada: friendly, professional and efficient at all times. Food was also very, very good, even for picky vegetarians such as us. Our visit happened during the Covid-19 pandemic but Calabash was well-prepared. We were quite happy with all the precautions and extra measures taken because of the extraordinary times. This did not negatively affect our stay at all. If you’re looking for a truly luxurious, friendly hotel in Grenada, Calabash is probably the best choice on the island. Where to begin …… Given the situation with Covid, and all of the hurdles in place for international travel, we never allowed ourselves to look forward to our trip to Grenada until we actually arrived! Calabash is a truly wonderful hotel which more than met our expectations. The location is fabulous, the accomodation just perfect and the food is easily the best that I have ever had in the Carribean. However, what really makes this such a special place to stay is the staff. Professional, yet relaxed. Attentive yet not overbearing and so friendly and welcoming. Desiann at The Beach Club, George at Rhodes Restaurant and all of the receptionsists were particular stand-outs. It must have been such a challenging time for all at the hotel (whilst we were there) but no one ever stopped smiling and we felt incredidly fortunate to be spend a memorable Christmas at The Calabsh Hotel. Thank you. We look forward to returning soon. Read less

Great place with wonderful staff. Charming character. Good games in grounds. Excellent facilities. Safe stay with regards to hygiene given Covid-19 pandemic. There were very few guests but they managed to continue to run all water sports and spa treatments.

First class French cuisine meets Caribbean cool and service which is the best I've seen in the region. The only downside is the beach which, one hopes, will be busy when the tourists return. The service is close to the best Asian groups and the food perhaps better - and you're in Grenada where people bring relaxation to a new height.
