This was our first visit to Calabash and it surpassed all our expectations, the suites were luxurious, the service was excellent and the staff were friendly and curteous. The food was second to none and this family run boutique hotel is an ideal location to relax and escape from normality. We will definitely return.

Racquel took care us with care and a warm smile every time we needed a restaurant, a trip arranged, even connecting us with a great tennis pro and arranging for a surprise birthday at Umbrellas with party favors!! The staff was so warm and attentive, starting with great breakfasts looking out from our private villa over the beach, fantastic beachside lunches, splendid afternoon tea, and superb dinners. We were lavished with thoughtful gifts in our room ranging from rum, to local coca butters and....more rum! We already miss the many nice people we met and their warm and friendly smiles! The weather and pool were great, a nice little gym to use, and amazing snorkeling right off the beach. Happy New Years to all our new friends at the Calabash! Read less

Great staff, great restaurant (particularly the sea food) & so laid back some may think it slow service. Lots to do on site, but reception were very helpful in advising on trips & booking them. Scuba & snorkelling was a fun trip but the island has lots to offer - rainforest, hikes, harbours, beaches & old forts. Esther in command of it all, larger than life character in George at tables, Patricia & Isha our maids - all could not do enough for us and made our stay memorable. Thank you, everyone. PS Don't be put off by proximity to airport as it is hardly Gatwick! Read less
