We stayed at the Calabash for 4 nights in October 2021 in a suite with a pool; this was well designed, modern and spacious. The food in the restaurants was excellent and varied throughout, and we loved the welcoming and friendly atmosphere within the resort. We would highly recommend.

After two long years we finally made it back to this amazing hotel. Many of the staff are still here, making it home from home. The standards are still exceptionally high, food wonderful, staff really friendly and helpful and accommodation brilliant. Only in the first week of our stay, but looking forward to returning next May already!

We have just come back from our holiday in Grenada staying at the Calabash. Both my husband and I had great expectations in regards to the Calabash Luxury Hotel. It so did not disappoint! For us it was about the quality of the service and just simple things like all the staff seemed to know our name. This felt very personnel and sometimes it is just the simple things that have such a great impact. All the staff were very friendly and if we did request something, it was attended to straight away. The service both at the Beach Restaurant and the evening restaurant were so efficient with the staff so friendly and welcoming. Without hesitation, we will return and further explore the Island ! and of course for the afternoon teas!!! Thank you Calabash team, you are all a credit to the hotel. Read less

Upon arriving at this resort it was clear that this was going to be a special place - the gardens were extremely well-groomed, the smartly uniformed staff were waiting to greet & welcome us and the entire atmosphere was of peaceful sophistication. Our suite was in an excellent location, right on the edge of the beach & some ~20 meters from the sea, so it could be easily accessed from the room. The room itself was spacious enough with lots of pillows if you needed them, plenty of towels and toiletries. There was no bath, just a wide open shower with hand & overhead attachments. All the staff were superb, especially the waiting staff in the beach and main restaurants, as well as George the main barman and the team on reception. As we were on full board, Gabriel kept our mini-bar topped up, so that we were never hungry or thirsty. Even with all of this, the staff still came round the beach area asking if you needed anything to eat or drink. There was also a super pool area, where I managed to swim every day without anyone else in it - nothing like a refreshing plunge at the end of a hot day. The hotel location was also very good - being not even 15 minutes from the airport. The only thing that was slightly unsettling for me (especially in these Covid times) was that security was rather lax. Despite there being plenty of signs saying that the hotel beach was private and that dogs were not allowed, non-residents took no notice and strolled along and used the beach, some allowing their dogs to run unattended and foul the beach! It was also unfortunate that we never got to see the real Grenada (although we did a couple of walks and hired a car one day). The island had experienced a spike in Covid cases and there was lockdown every evening for the night and for the entire weekend - so future visitors should check the current status. In this case, the resort, being the best on the island, you may not want to go anywhere else. In summary, it is a very elegant luxury destination resort that will tick all the boxes and meet any total relaxation beach holiday needs. Read less
