Radisson Grenada Beach Resort

Grenada, Caribbean

The hotel

Most would argue the sand and sea skirting gorgeous Grenada promise enough sunbathing and swimming spots for even the longest holiday — but that didn’t stop Radisson Grenada Beach Resort designing the ultimate swimming pool. Its fabulous freeform lagoon looks like it’s emerged from nature, with waterfalls and whirlpools set in rocky landscaping — and that all-essential pool bar! In fact, there are two pool bars — one serving its food with signature rum punches, the other claiming a prime spot in the middle of the freeform swimming pool. The beach is just as beautiful of course, fringed by a sweep of lawn in case you’d rather sunbathe off the sands. But, if you ever tire of doing absolutely nothing, there’s always a scenic stroll along the white sands of the 3 km long Grand Anse Beach, a spot of tennis, a spin in the Fitness Centre, neighbouring Shopping Centres to explore and snorkelling trips, windsurfing, sailing and of course Scuba Diving at the PADI diving centre — you are simply spoilt for choice!

Altough i stayed one night, the food was fantastic the staff was warm and welcoming and the rooms are great. there is a gym I'm yet to try and also a pool table. I picked up a few souvenirs from the gift shop and there is a plaza right outside of the hotel to grab any necessities.

Location is great. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Will miss Joseph’s breakfast omelette, Sherees service at the bar, Osman and Juniors knowledge of plants and their upkeep of the gardens - grounds. Breakfast is a little expensive but very filling. One can always get extra provisions from the supermarket across the street or visit the several cafes and restaurants nearby. The number 1 bus takes you into St.Georges - main town centre at a low cost of EC$2.50 one way, at time of making this post. We found this to be a good way to get around. Other buses available from St.Georges to go to other parts. Try it, it’s a great way to experience the sites of the island, and much cheaper than the average taxi at EC$40.00!... although at times it may be convenient. The older tourist map shows the bus routes, the new one doesn’t. If you ask the locals, they will probably help you get the right bus as most people on the island are friendly and happy to help. If you prefer to stay at the hotel to relax, enjoy the several bars, restaurants, pools and the lovely clean beach and sunsets. Read less

I want to be positive about the Radisson, having stayed at this property 4 times in the last 2 years, for work, but I am sorry to say something is going hugely wrong with the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort. That is a shame as previous visits had been far better. I have sent an email direct to the hotel as well, such was my disappoint. I find the staff disengaged and some are quite unfriendly. Don't get me wrong if you are on holiday American or European or to some extent from the Caribbean region, staff seem friendly to these types - may be they see these as their true customers. I found reception staff unfriendly and standoffish. When you have a query you may just get a blank stare, no hello when you arrive and definitely without a smile. I watched this happen to other European women that arrived for check in on their own. To be fair, the friendliest people were the maids and the gardeners, some of the staff in the breakfast buffet room were not too bad either. But the rest, forget it. I think having no discernible manager in sight is what is affecting this hotel. While the manager is away some staff will do whatever the hell they want. So many times I saw restaurant staff just standing around talking to each other, instead of engaging with customers or doing something productive in their job. I will not stay again in a hurry.
