Best trip ever no real complaints other than a little lack of service at the swim up bar. Very safe outside the resort took a local taxi into town, Had the opportunity to meet St Paul the famous tour guide! Other than that we had a terrific time and we look forward to returning in December!

Things that stood out in my review of my beautiful vacation last week were the staff. Friendly and accommodating. Yuvi, the Manager, was incredible. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for us. The resort, the beach, the restaurants were fantastic. The Spa was a great experience. Best massage!! All in all, highly recommended!

We are well seasoned travelers having stayed at numerous AIs . I am the researcher in the group ( a wanna be TA) Our Anniversary falls in April perfect. The crowds have started to wane. The weather has always been cooperative usually . Having stopped on a cruise here a while back decided to visit , as we have never vacationed here. Reading reviews ,which I take with a grain, I was expecting bad food, surly staff , and moldy rooms. None of that happened ! I always arrive with my glass half full . WEATHER - warm sunny could not ask for a better week ! I think we had a mist one morning and day of departure a sudden burst that was over in minutes. We had a 5 hour flight delay from hell out of YYZ arriving . Thank you AC .....Running out of Airlines here in Canada. Airport was quick and the 5 min drive to RG the best. We had pre-booked our rooms at a cost of 65. usd as we were traveling with another couple and wanted to be in the same building. This can be done on The Royalton Web Page. Building 15- perfect 15301 15302 at the end of the building. Yes its a climb and no elevators . Room- clean modern all amenities . On the small size but efficient. Bathroom clean again a little tight but who cares .Building 15 &16 are ocean FRONT right there . Zen views from the balcony and waves crashing worth the price of admission. Beach - yes the rocks are still there but no problem . We only had a red flag all day one day but still managed to wade out to cool down. Towels a plenty loungers never a problem and we had six of us so we put towels down but really no need . Not sure during peak season how that would be but lots ! Pools- Waded in a few times the two pools near us were small one diamond one regular . The main pool up by Grazi never crowded but did not use it once. Maybe my age has caught up to me but not into the boom boom music and games . Food- I was really prepared for sub par fare and found it acceptable. If I wanted food and fine wine I would go to Italy. Grazi- We ate here twice - We had two Italians with us and one is probably the best home cook I know she raved about the spinach Risotto so I ordered on the second visit and it was very good. TAJ- We ordered all the apps and shared them so there are six on the menu. It was good not great but good. We did not leave hungry. We also ordered mains and dessert. Ma Maison-To the person who ordered LOBSTER and gave our friends room number ...KARMA... It again was pretty good. Just remember where you are and you will be happy. We ate out twice - Sails- go there ! and the Grenadian street food night @True Blue Bay. I guess you have to experience the real deal . We also took a day tour which all the tour guides offer full day a photo op with the Monkeys but they took the day off :) Rum factory, Chocolate Factory , lunch was The national Grenadian dish and then finished at the falls . Our tour operator snagged us on the beach ..I had another name as I do my homework but was too lazy to call them.. and they all do the same tour. Air Con was minimal and driver had a bit of an attitude .Van had seen better days.... buyer beware. Staff @ Royalton Grenada YUVI- they better give you a raise you are the hardest working FOOD & BEVVIE manager I have ever come across ! Thank you for the Anniversary table decorations and resos. Thank you for helping our friends when some shmuck charged Lobster to their room. Always present always available !!! Audrey -GM again present and thanks for the help on our last morning .If you book your rooms on line make sure you have the confirmation. Kelson- Yoga instructor thank you for a wonderful class ! In closing We had a wonderful week met some new friends . Will we return probably not . Too many other places to see. Would I recommend YES ! Read less

The hotel isn't a mega resort, which can be a plus if you prefer a quieter atmosphere. Service is very slow, you gotta be patient. Entertainment options were basic. Restaurant selection is limited and you need to reserve the day of, with Diamond Club taking priority. The buffet was on the smaller side and the lines for omelettes and such could be daunting (remember slow service). We liked French restaurant a lot more than everyone’s favourite Indian. Coffee shop was a nice touch. We stayed in room 14304 (building 14) – 2 queen beds with the ocean view. Be prepared for lots of stairs to navigate around the property. There were plenty of beach towels provided. We preferred the northern beach, it’s a bit of a walk, but more secluded. Keep in mind that despite the nice stretch of water, the swimmable areas are actually quite limited due to corals. Upon check out we asked and were provided with a hospitality suite (someone’s else unmade room). The internet speed was decent throughout the resort, even at the beach with at 7.6Mbps. There was no ATM at the resort, nor at the airport, you’d need to get to Grand Anse or Ft. George for that. Republic bank allows free withdrawals. There is not much going on in the immediate vicinity of the resort, but Ft. George is about half hour away. To venture outside, minibus 1 passes in front of the gate, but standards rates do not apply, you’d need to negotiate with the driver upfront. The fare should range between US$1 and $2. Taxis are a lot more expensive and are a bit scammy with very “complicated” rates: per car + per hour + per person, etc. The ride to the airport is extremely short – don’t get too comfortable. Despite, there was no noise from the airplanes. Read less
