Arrived in Negril for 2nd beach vacation. Nothing beats 7 mile beach but if you book with Couples who have no beach lounge chair policy here is what you need to know. Couples, unlike adjacent beach front properties, does not allow beach lovers to fairly get at least one day out of their very expensive week, to secure a great beach lounge. What happens here due to lack of an official policy is you have a two hour window between 12:00 am and 2:00 am to get a palapa a.k.a a lounge chair under a thatched hut. Unlike some of the other resorts Couples has no policy or signage about fair beach seating access. Instead if you inquire as we did they recommend that you wait until security does a last sweep at midnight then go out and put your stuff out under your chair of choice and go back to bed. Negril’s 7 mile beach is great but Couples resorts (Includes Couples Swept Away) doesn’t care about guest experience. Go elsewhere. Lots of choice and Jamaica is paradise. Read less

Our room had a balcony overlooking the nude beach :) I didn't want to look at that all week, so they quickly moved us with absolutely NO hassle at all! The beach was so pretty. The water was clear and the beach sand was exactly what you would imagine a beach! There were chairs on the beach and people came to bring drinks throughout the day. All the guests are very friendly as well! Many people we met had been coming to the resort year after year! It was a very inviting environment! The resort is somewhat dated, but nothing that would stop me from coming back! Also, this is an adult only resort so we could not bring our kids, but it was the perfect getaway! We also did several excursions and the people were very helpful in scheduling these activities. Food was delicious. I would recommend this resort to anyone needing a getaway with a significant other! There is no reason to go anywhere else! Period! As soon as you arrive you realize you are in paradise. They give you a warm washcloth to wipe your face, then hand you champagne! There is no reason to go anywhere else! Period! As soon as you arrive you realize you are in paradise. They give you a warm washcloth to wipe your face, then hand you champagne! They take you to your room, and have someone bring your luggage. The rooms are amazing. We had a suite which is double the size of a regular room. It was amazing. They have a stocked bar in the room and will restock anything you need in the mini fridge everyday. They clean in to perfection and also leave a great towel animal every day. The staff is great and very helpful. The resort is very clean well taken care of. They comb the beach every morning. I also saw staff cleaning, sweeping, or just straightening the entire resort all the time. The food was fantastic every time. We ate at each restaurant and they all did not disappoint. The lion fish at Otaheite was phenomenal! We also ate at Lychee twice because we loved it so much. It was also very cool that they had different menu items. We went the first time on monday, and again on thursday, so they switch menus to make it interesting. We also had a private dinner for our anniversary. We were scheduled to eat on the beach, and this was the only night it rained. We were moved to the treehouse, and it was awesome. It was really a cool experience. We got couples massages also, in the treehouse and, wow, just great. The resort has some vendors come onto the resort once in a while and it's neat to see all the different items. We bought some souvenirs from them and didn't even have to leave the resort. The beach is beautiful and has plenty of shade, chairs, and float rafts. They also have musicians play for you on the beach. The chair side beach drink service is top notch, and if you cant wait for someone to come by, they have a drink station on the beach!!!! Stocked with booze too, so you can make your own drink! The pool swim up bar is my favorite spot. We spent a lot of our time here. They make great drinks and make sure you are never with an empty glass. I suggest you bring a tervis cup of your own to keep your drink cold. The only downside i can think of, is getting a poolside chair is difficult. I woke up early every morning to try to get two of them for us. They were always already taken, and that's at 5-6am.. This is of course only for the the most sought after locations. There were plenty to choose from in the second rows. The resort shops were great too. Plenty of stuff to buy and also had necessity items as well (tylenol, heartburn pills, etc). They have amazing bands and musicians in the main dining area every day and night too. The breakfast duo is incredible, as well as the evening band! The resort also has games, and theme nights, or something special everyday. The bonfire was great with awesome music. The piano bar was fun with sing along night. They even had a poolside casino night which was a ton of fun! Basically when we come back to Jamaica, this will be the only place we even consider to stay! I would give it 6 stars if possible!! Read less

We love this resort with this being out 4th time back. We returned in April rather than our previous visits in September. The weather was awesome. Some rain, less than September. More people in April. We attended the repeaters dinner for the first time and it was delicious. A little disappointed that a rep did not sit at our table or another even come over to ask if there were any concerns. We met some really nice people from all over the world. Food was good, drinks were good and the beach was fantastic. Floaties for everyone. Thanks to all staff for making Couples Negril our favourite spot. We did the trading places with Couples Swept Away. Still prefer Couples Negril. We also enjoyed the rewards program they offer for repeaters. It would be nice if they could offer two types of packages. One for the people who use the dive and snorkeling equipment and one for those who don’t. I wish we learned to dive years ago. This is why it is a little pricey. I would like to thank Horatio with helping us with our reservation. Hope to be back soon. Head over to the Office of Nature for a cold Red Stripe. Lobster is out of season so have some crab instead. Thanks everyone. Read less
