My husband and I have only been back home in NH for 10 days since our 32nd vacation at Holiday Inn Montego Bay “Our Home Away From Home”. A day has not gone by that we have not reminisced about something special that touched us while we were there for those magical 2 weeks! Every single day was so special for us. You would think that after 32 vacations in the same place, there could be no new surprises. We continue to fall “IN LOVE” with this place over and over again. It has our hearts❤️❤️ There are constant changes each time we visit. Just to name a few (but NOT just a few) during this visit was our beautiful oceanfront room greeted us with some fresh paint, 2 new bedroom chairs to relax in, a new full-length mirror on bedroom closet doors and beautiful new white billowing curtains on our sliders onto our amazing oceanfront balcony (Oh, my heart!!!)……brought me joy every day!!!!! WELCOME HOME🌴🌴 AND for all of you that have been concerned about the elevators……there are 2 new elevators in Bldg. 7 (to be used by Bldg 6 & 7). We called them “Cadillac Elevators”! Top of the line and smooooth!! Constant changes and upgrades🙂 What DOES NOT CHANGE EVER is the wonderful staff, old friends and beautiful, caring Jamaican people who make this such a joy to always come HOME to❤️. The beautiful (inside and out) General Manager, Miss Wimsome is the leader of this wonderful staff! Imagine how happy we were when we saw her in the lobby the day we arrived. Beautiful smile & hug got our vacay off to an awesome start!! From the girls in the VIP check-in who always “Welcome us Home” with smiles to everyone else….porters, bartenders, waitstaff & chefs, shoppe keepers, lifeguards, beach tenders, gardeners, chambermaids, etc. etc., it is so welcoming! I received 12 hugs within the first hour of arrival and it continued every day after that! AND everyone remembers our names, which just “blows us away”!! It’s no wonder we are IN LOVE with this special place. we have traveled ALOT in the past 30 years and we have had many lovely, fun, special vacations, BUT Holiday Inn is now “IT” for us. We can fly non_stop, (4 1/2 hrs.), and HIR is only 15 minutes away from Sangster Airport once we land. When we arrive we are greeted and “taken care of” for the whole time we are there ane treated like family❤️ You can read some of our Trip Advisor Reviews from past reviews in detail of amenities, fabulous restaurants, great bars, the gorgeous beaches and warm, clear water. It only continues to improve. Do not hesitate to book a vacation at this very special GEM!! We guarantee you will fall IN LOVE with it as we have. and of course being a guest there makes you feel so. very spoiled and special that you feel the LOVE every day. SIMPLE HINT…….Treat everyone as you would like to be treated! SMILES, HUGS, TIP the hard work that is done for your JOY!!🥰 Until September when we will return again again!! Always something to look forward to!! To Winsome and our friends, the staff…..”We miss you ALL”! Thank you for making us feel the like family!!❤️❤️ Sending LOVE until next time❤️❤️Paul & Sheila Read less

I was at this hotel 10 years ago and it was sad to see no changes or upgrades were done over the years. The buffet seems more like a high school cafeteria then a restaurant. Best thing about the hotel was Robert the waiter at the Italian restaurant. I hope they recognize how amazing he is. Food was mediocre, palapas were probably reserved the night before or guests paid security to reserve for them since at 7am there was nothing available unless you went to the beach on the right of the property away from the bars and amenities. We were given a room with an old AC unit that was so loud. Yes we could have asked to change rooms but what a hassle after waiting all day to get it and unpacking all our stuff. We didn't bother. Only good thing is that they do not limit the amount of times at the a la carte restaurants so we didn't go to the cafeteria at night. Our tour operator rates this hotel a 4 star but there is no way. If you aren't fussed about having nice meals nor the decor or amenities in the room then the hotel is fine. We had a great time and made the most of it. Would I go back a third time? Unless the price goes down drastically, it's highly unlikely. Read less

Great Resort. We stayed in building 7, rooms were nice, bathrooms were outdated, but no biggie, they were kept well and clean. Good food, great staff. They were lacking in entertainment. Not much at the main pool, not even consistent music. The little entertainment they did have was good, just not enough of it. No music at the adult swim up bar… Read more

Not much at the main pool, not even consistent music. The little entertainment they did have was good, just not enough of it. No music at the adult swim up bar either, speakers were blown. It was Too bad, as our little group would have stayed on the property more than we did if there was something happening throughout the day. Overall it was an amazing vacation, shout out to the housekeeper for room 7421 Apr 14-21, we never caught your name, but you were amazing for keeping us tidy all week, shout out to Melissa (vendor at end of beach) she does AMAZING braids, she did my hubbies braid’s perfectly, highly recommend her for your “vacation hair do”. I checked in almost 6pm on Thursday April 18, 2024 and I was immediately unimpressed. The staff on duty during that time was very unhelpful and unpleasant. Initially, there was no bellboy to either assist with my luggage or show me to my room. Very poor signage around the property, so it was hard to find my specific room. I then had to return to the front desk. Wayne was the bellboy who eventually assisted, and I appreciated that. Very cool dude. We called ahead of checking in to query the night passes which there was no problem there. However, what I found strange is being told to walk to the security post to let them know my guests are coming. Why are you asking your guest to walk outside of the property to let security know another guest is coming? The phones don’t work? Also, why is a guest being told ON THE DAY of checking in, that reservations for the restaurants on property.. should be made one day in advance? So that means if I spent one night only, I am limited. The general customer service of this hotel is poor. The staff needs some proper training. Drinks at the bar by the lobby are terrible, food is average and the rooms are nothing to die for. Not to mention some elevators were not working. It is such an inconvenience to ask guests to take the stairs. I could go on.. The only consolation of this stay was the beautiful beach. I would also like to commend Fitzroy and Christon by the Seafood Restaurant. Read less
