This authentic basic resort sits on the edge of a half-mile stretch of sandy beach. 522 rooms on 4 floors in 7 buildings. Elevator access to all upper level rooms. All with air-conditioning, balcony or patio, TV, complimentary WiFi, clock/radio alarm, coffee maker, safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Garden View Rooms have 1 king-size bed with a sleeper sofa or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 3 adults and 1 child. Garden View Rooms have garden or courtyard views.
All Inclusive of: all meals, snacks and local brand drinks, facilities, activities and children's programs as provided by the resort. Food options either include a buffet meal service or a la carte, depending on the resort schedule. All A la carte specialty restaurants are free of charge but reservations are required. I sat there two days back to back without anyone offering me water (I assume they assumed I was local because I noticed they treat locals differently from other guests). The third day I sat there, Sherika (sent from Heaven) gave me the BEST service! She made me feel as if I was valued! My remaining days at the hotel, she was the ONLY person I would specifically look for. I travelled for my birthday and she made my day so extremely special! She is an example of what true customer service should be! I’d also love to mention the amazing staff that I met on property who were friendly, extremely helpful and always greeted me with a smile! I can remember the ladies at the gift shop(Very helpful and nice), Front desk staff (I can only remember Debbie-Ann but they all were amazing and friendly). Entertainment (Sasha) she was extremely nice and entertaining, The photoshop (Saskia) she was so amazing, very friendly, extremely nice, The butler (Marlon), extremely nice and helpful, There’s a fair skin bartender (I do not remember her name) but she was amazing. She remembered my drink and was always friendly to me. Needless to say, when I sat at that bar, a few times, it was almost like I had to beg the guys to ask me if I needed help, when I did ask, it was like I was invisible. I would be reminded if I did not mention the chef that makes the omelette , she has such a welcoming personality, very engaging and always works with a smile. I also, felt harassed by the male security every single day my driver would pick me up or drop me off. No matter how much he sees me, it’s always the same annoying interrogation as if he’s never seen me before. Even when I show my band it’s an issue. I had dinner reservations at the Jamaican restaurant and the food was terrible. Changed something else and still the same. The manager was very apologetic and appreciative of my feedback. Overall, my experience with my room was completely terrible. However , my service from the staff mentioned was top tier and that was the highlight from my trip. Again should have been cleaned better before use . Had to leave day early and all manager could say was I could not claim compensation , thought hadn’t entered my mind so strange . Pools being closed for cleaning during the day 9am to 6pm should be done before or after customers have access. Location is 1st class hotel appears to be outdated by 20 plus years and badly needs refurbishment . Reception waiting area too dark , bathrooms at adult only pool area did not have hand soap for the days we were there , hygiene should be a priority, sunbathing area at adult pool full of weeds , pool edge broken broken and requires replacing . Cats in Resturant when food being served not right as a diner nearly went through the roof when 1 touched them under the table . My car had also been damaged whilst in hotel parking , 2 individuals on gate showed no empathy to this directing me to the unhelpful manager.
Hotel for me clearly has issues and I could not recommend to anyone as I believe needs full refurbishment throughout .Having travelled for over 40 years having to leave your AC unit on at 22 is a first for me.
