The hotel

Every holiday feels like a honeymoon at this 5-star Ocho Rios retreat. Only open to couples, it doesn’t just feature four pools and 19 acres of beachfront, it also has its own private island – just in case you prefer your sunbathing au naturel. The team whisks you there by boat to sunbathe in seclusion, or to drink at its swim-up bar. While, back at base, Couples Tower Isle indulges you with its beach bar flag service, a twice-weekly Martini hour on the roof, water sports like scuba-diving and hydro biking, and a spa that’s been dubbed Best Caribbean Hotel Spa by Travel + Leisure magazine.

Hotel information

226 rooms and suites on 4 floors in 5 buildings with 4 lifts (2 buildings without lifts). All with balcony/terrace, air-conditioning, flat-screen satellite TV, iPod docking station, tea/coffee-making facilities, personalised mini-bar (replenished daily), safe, iron and board, nightly turn down service, bathrobes, hairdryer and king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. Deluxe Garden rooms are located in the main building, face inland and have views of the gardens.

All Inclusive of: all meals and snacks, all drinks (all premium brands), all activities and entertainment detailed above.

Superior Ocean View rooms are located in the South wing, face the ocean and have partial sea views.

Deluxe Ocean View rooms are spread between the South, East and West wings and have views of the sea and Tower Isle.

Premier Ocean View rooms are located in the main building and have beautiful views of the beach, sea and Tower Isle.

Garden View Junior Suites are larger, and have garden views, seating area, free-standing shower and Jacuzzi bathtub.

Ocean View Junior Suites are as above but with unobstructed sea views.

1-Bedroom Ocean View Suites are larger suites, with separate bedroom, living area and bathroom, views over the ocean, free-standing shower and Jacuzzi bathtub.

Oasis Spa Villas are ultra-private featuring a sun terrace, private plunge pool and zero-entry shower. Guests also receive private villa check-in and a custom spa itinerary featuring unlimited spa services.

Signature Oasis Spa Villas feature a larger plunge pool, sun terrace, separate living room and zero-entry shower. Guests also receive private villa check-in and a custom spa itinerary featuring unlimited spa services.

7 restaurants including; Patio Restaurant (continental breakfast, buffet lunch, Italian and Mediterranean buffet and à la carte dinner), Eight Rivers (classic cuisine with local Jamaican and Caribbean ingredients; open for dinner only, reservations required), Bayside (Asian cuisine; open for dinner only, reservations required), The Verandah (continental cuisine; open for dinner only), Pool Grill (all-day dining, grilled specialties) and the Veggie Bar (healthy food served during the day), Java Cafe (pastries and caffeinated beverages). 5 bars: Main bar, The Lounge Bar, Island swim-up bar, piano bar and main swim-up pool bar. 24-hour dining by the pool. Room service available daily: 7:30am–10.30am (breakfast), 11:00am–9:30pm (all-day dining) and 6:00pm–9:30pm (dinner). Continental breakfast in bed.

Nightly entertainment including cabaret, resident bands, piano bar and live shows. Films by starlight on the beach. Weekly beach party. Managers cocktail party.

Had a wonderful trip. Cannot say enough about the food, drinks , beach and staff. Having to endure the 2 hour ride in a small bus from the airport to the resort was well worth it. We will definitely be going back!

What a magical place. Incredibly peaceful, and I feel so relaxed after a week. We had red flag weather a few days, but still got out into the sea and squeezed in all the water sports. Would highly recommend the snorkelling, catamaran (a booze cruise with swimming which was awesome!) and the padel boarding. The guys and girls on the water sports… Read more

Would highly recommend the snorkelling, catamaran (a booze cruise with swimming which was awesome!) and the padel boarding. The guys and girls on the water sports are experts and keep the beach super fun whilst it’s safe. The food. Wow. From the nachos to snack on, the breakfast buffet to the sharing platter in Bayside, everything was exquisite!! So many options and all excellent quality. The servers in Veranda were particularly kind when I was unwell during dinner and sent our food to our room with some ginger tea, I didn’t get their names but hope they know our thanks. The drinks were excellent, we didn’t have to wait more than 30 seconds at the bars at any time and Devon’s rum tasting was my husbands favourite bit of the trip! (You have to try the overproof and Ting) Devon was knowledgeable about rum whilst keeping the group entertained and making amazing drinks all week. The excursions at Dunns River Falls, the catamaran trip and the shopping trips are all a must do. We were unsure about all inclusive resorts but this place is worth every penny, from the memories we made, the relaxation and the friends we made in a week. This place is heavenly. Sanjay(Daman) makes great cocktails. Bubbles for the activates staff will greet you by name and has a great personality. Make sure you take the nature walk with Alfred. A great place for couples. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. No tipping is great. Ask anyone for information and they stop to talk to you. We were staying in villa 6008 , and my wife asked about getting 2 lounges, and in a few minutes, we had them. It was great to take a dip in the pool and then lay for in the lounges for a while and then pack into the pool. One morning on our way to breakfast we stopped to look a some white items laying on the ground and one of the landscape guys came right over to tell us all about them. A white flower that only blooms at night and falls off at daylight. The food at the buffet was good, but at the other restaurant's it was great great. Also liked the daily bread pudding and ice cream. Place was very clean an grounds were well kept. Really a great place to go. Only bad item is the long ride from the airport, and the way they drive (not the resort drivers, but the Jamaican drivers). We really had a great time and will return Read less
