I went on my trip to Jamaica a week ago. This hotel is a shack very dirty and old everything there is broken and dirty they few staff they have there its like they just walk off the road and maybe 1 other couple was staying there at this property. This first appearance it’s very gloomy, dark and has a depressed feelings. I checked in the one staff there at check in it’s like she did us a favor very rude and not friendly. Went into room omg night mear dirty everything in room was broken the bathroom was filthy and all the fixtures was loosen. Went to see the beach it’s across the road it gets even better the two staff the have working at the bar was filthy looking the bar was old and broken I was hungry after traveling all day I ordered fries it’s tasted like is was fried in used oil that fish was fried in I did eat it. I checked out and went to the Riu Montegobay it was like night and day for the same price. They pictures for this property is 100 percent misleading that’s online I’m sure it’s the pictures they’re using was taken when the hotel was first opened. Do no attempt to stay at this shack/motel. How do you judge a resort? For me: price, first. I need something affordable but delightful. Second: does the resort get in the way of fun or facilitate it? SeaGarden is a great mid-priced resort that puts me in the mind of New Orleans. (Or maybe we should really say that N.O. got its charm from places like Jamaica). SeaGarden provides lots of… Read more
How do you judge a resort? For me: price, first. I need something affordable but delightful. Second: does the resort get in the way of fun or facilitate it? SeaGarden is a great mid-priced resort that puts me in the mind of New Orleans. (Or maybe we should really say that N.O. got its charm from places like Jamaica). SeaGarden provides lots of opportunities for fun and never gets in the way. We were there with friends. We wanted to chat up some people and have some fun and we really did. The charming bay and beach was just the right size for us. Great jerk chicken at the beach with solid drinks. The pool was sparkling clean every day — and we were there during the off season. Loved the pool and who can forget Shaquille, the life guard who kept us laughing — and enchanted by his great voice — ya mon! Or the many Jeromes who brought drinks. Maybe too many drinks. On our last day, We ADORED the piano player — don’t miss the piano bar. On our first day, We loved T-Rex, who gave a dance lesson. One thing you should know is that SeaGarden is so safe and lovely. Beautiful tended gardens and a delightful vine-covered path to the beach. A crossing guard gives security while you flip flop to the beach. We loved the ocean-view rooms that gave us an opportunity to watch Perry the Pelican fish and patrol his slice of the the beach. The ocean-view rooms face Jimmy Clift Blvd and on the weekends Jamaicans gather to play music, cook food, and party at the dead end of the island. You can enjoy the festivities in complete safety and share in the culture! Fun but a bit noisy so don’t judge the hotel by the parties. You will find the hotel is really international. We met Brazilians, Italians, Brits, Swedes, and Mexicans. And lots of Jamaicans. We found the buffet good and the staff very able. If you choose SeaGarden you surely won’t be sorry. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Hotel is VERY dated.

Sea Garden is located about 10 minutes or less from the airport. The planes come down right above the resort so it can be a bit noisy. I found this hotel to be very dated, it looked like they had barely any guests. Beach was located across the street (2 min walk). I found this hotel to be very dated, it looked like they had barely any guests. Beach was located across the street (2 min walk). I would recommend to those looking for a much more cost effective property and who are not looking for anything modern or luxurious. Rooms are colorful and bright, not very spacious. Currently under renovations, they are building a spa. Has more of a motel vibe. The staff here are very friendly and work very hard. Read less

This was our second time in 3 years and we just love small hotel. It seems everybody remembers you even after 3 years there were many staffs that remember us. This time we stayed 9 nights and really enjoyed it. The food was great as usual and a very good service even when the hotel was full for 3 nights. The entertainment was first class with something new every night. The beach is small but very private and clean; we asked the towel attendant to get us a coconut and got it for us right away so we drank it with Jamaican Rum, nothing but the best. Read less

There's several issues. Front desk and otber staff needs a refresher course on customer service. Front desk said we have a fridge in the room, there was not. We were assigned to first floor which we don't feel safe, there was no availability that day to move so we moved the second night. When we asked the next day about moving, front desk didn't seem to know what was going on. Front desk staff didn't communicate with each other. We ate at their italian restaurant. The service was super slow. We were seated at 730pm and entree arrived around 9pm. The pasta didn't taste good. We only had few bite and left. Two times they lost power. The first one took a while before power came back. The pool is closed on the first day due to treatment. Why don't you treat the pool overnight and not during the daytime? The main restaurant doesn't have much choice for breakfast and lunch. They were even hiding the bacon in their kitchen. The food wasn't good at all. The juices, yuck! One time we were about to eat lunch and the plates we got was dirty. There was food particles on it. They only have 3 restaurants, the main buffet which I already told you doesn't have much choices and food was not good. The second is the Italian restaurant, slow service, food not good. The third one, you have to pay for it $37.50. Why would you call your resort All-Inclusive if we have to pay for the other restaurant? I bet it won't taste any better. We were hungry around 6pm on our first day but there was nowhere to get food. Restaurant starts dinner at 7pm. The deli is closed so as the burger place by the beach. For an All-Inclusive you should have access to food anytime. I once asked for rice during breakfast because the choices was not good, the waiter laughed at me. So I asked there's not much choices I can eat here for breakfast, do you have a bacon at least? He said he will give me bacon. Why would they hide bacon in the kitchen? Thats's ghetto right? The second day, I asked again. Three people saw I was given a bacon and no one knew they can ask for it so at least those three people that saw me, asked for some too. This place is cheap! Even the nightly entertainment is clearly low-budget. Their beach is across the street so everytime we cross, there's always guys outside asking us if we want some marijuana. Are you serious? There was one guy asking for money. Why can't the hotel regulate that? We don't feel safe at this property. Our first night, the street was loud with some music, we couldn't sleep. It was horrible experience. Hotels.com tried contacting them for compensation and the manager declined to give any compensation. This is not a 3 star hotel. This hotel doesn't even deserve 1 star.
