My wife and I went to Grand Pineapple in June 2019 with a group of about 35 friends and family. This place is great if your looking for an all-inclusive that can cater to large groups at a decent price. This was our second trip staying at Grand Pineapple and I will say that the quality of the food seems to have gone down a bit from what I remember, and you will come across a grumpy bartender or front desk staff on occasion...but overall the staff was pretty friendly. Since I don’t like to dwell on the negatives in such a beautiful place like Negril, I will point out a few of the positives. 1) Marvette, the bartender, was a ray of sunshine...always friendly and smiling, and she makes the best drinks! 2) The beach location is top notch. 3) If you’re looking to take an excursion off property, look for Halifax. He’s usually hanging out near the resort. He’s the one in the picture with me at Floyd’s Pelican Bar. He arranged to take my wife and I out there because it was something I really had been wanting to do. While the car ride was a bit long, the sites along the way made it worth the trip. He pointed out lots of interesting sites, and got us there and back safely. Thanks Halifax, if you see this post! Can’t wait for our next trip to Negril in another five years (we go every five years as a group), but not sure I can wait that long to go back. Oh, and check out the One Love Bus tour which is basically a fun bus ride through the cliffs bar hopping to some really cool bars that you probably wouldn’t get to otherwise if you’re staying on the beach. We (wife and I) had a great return trip to the Grand Pineapple Negril. We were there for 10 days and enjoyed ourselves immensely! They are in the middle of exterior renovations on the beachside cottages so our preferred room was not available. But, we had what we thought was the best room with a view. Room 38. It's the upper floor of the cottage that is closest to the beach. The exterior renovations being done are going to make the beachside cottages even more appealing in the future. One drawback with being that close to the beach is you are right next to Alfreds and when they have their live music it can get a bit loud. Right now it's not bad as they are required due to SOE to shut down at 11:00 - 12:00. But after the SOE is lifted they can go on till about 2:00 A.M. Bring earplugs :-) The staff at the GP is top notch as always. Marvette, Kevin, Joseph, Michael, Basil, and all the rest (especially housekeeping) you make us feel like family. The food was great. There was always something that we could select for breakfast, lunch or dinner. (although the wife did NOT care for the wine) Spa services were great with our couples massage. We met great people and made friends with lots of new people who we hope to keep in touch with. Read less

Just came back from Grand Pineapple and it was amazing. The food was great, the staff was great especially Marvette, Jeffroy, Basil and Alexadro. The bar did close at 11:00 which is a little early but you can but alcohol at the store across the street. If you are staying in the garden side, the crossing guards are very good at escorting you and… Read more

You can however order a hamburger or hotdog. -this was our 4th stay. We were celebrating our anniversary- they asked - but nothing special was done. There is no return guest anything- unless you are there on a Tuesday night. Loyalty is shown. This time, we were somewhere in the shuffle. Rooms clean, but needs updating. Air was cold. Staff at the bar, the activities center (lifeguards) and kitchen- are just amazing. Like family. Patrick, Marvette, Basil, Kevin, Amanda, Sheena, Jackie, Oliver and the most amazing Carver (who carves!!) all made this trip have many memories. Still, not loyalty with the resort. I think our next trip- we will move down the beach a little. All inclusive. Ran out of beer a few times. No biggie. Things happen. It’s when you start adding up the “little” things that...it starts to matter. Read less
