First, I love this resort. This is the 4th time I have been here. Staff, food and facilities are all GREAT! My visit the week of 01.12.20 - 01.19.20 was the 3rd time with their Preferred Club (PC). First, I love this resort. This is the 4th time I have been here. Staff, food and facilities are all GREAT! My visit the week of 01.12.20 - 01.19.20 was the 3rd time with their Preferred Club (PC). The previous 2 times with the PC were great! No issues. My only gripe this time was with the Preferred Club pool area. Guests pay extra to utilize the services of the PC - this includes an Adult only/Preferred Club pool. There was no control over who entered the pool area, which was the case in the past. On several occasions, random groups of loud/groups entered the pool area, went to the bar and then jumped in the pool. There was no control over who entered the pool area and in one case, a person got a little out of control and he wasn't told to lower his voice. All I am saying is that I am paying extra for the "quiet pool" and it was quite clear when certain groups entered that they were not part of the PC. It seemed anyone could come in and hang out if they wanted. The past 2 visits, the PC group would ask if you were part of the PC before entering. Maybe the resort policy has changed as it has been at least 5-years since my last visit. I am just making a point here. I had a wonderful time and it's evident that I enjoy this resort since I have been here 4 times. All I am saying if you pay EXTRA for the Preferred Club for the use of the specific pool and its other serives, then there should be better controls. Overall this is a great place to visit and I had a wonderful vacation! Read less

Now Sapphire in Cancun, Mexico was a great place to stay. Very romantic, beautiful and it's on the beach. Staff very friendly, 5 restaurants on site. Lots of activities to do. One very large pool with a swim up to the bar. One private pool for all exclusive members. Both pools had lounge chairs and queen beds.

We were a little apprehensive when we booked our stay at a family oriented resort. We normally stay at an adults only all-inclusive property, but wanted to see what what a family friendly resort was like. There seemed to be plenty of activities for family travelers, and judging by the frequent outburst of joy around the main pool, everyone was having a good time. Our pace tends to be more laid-back and restful, and we were very pleased to find that mindset at the Preferred adults only pool. Miguel, the pool concierge, was able to find a good place for us to enjoy the sun and pool and the tropical barrier around the pool helped isolate the quiet minded from wind and the hustle and bustle of the rest of the property. I shouldn't forget Museal, the Preferred Pool Bar Tender, and the servers who made sure we had endless adult beverages to help us relax! We will likely return to the Adult only resort scene on our next trip, but it is nice to know that we could return some day with grand-kids and still be able to slip away and enjoy quiet time as well! My husband and I booked this resort back in October for us to stay in January for our friends wedding. We booked an oceanfront view room but When we got there immediately they told us that we were being down graded and they overbooked all oceanfront rooms. Needless to say we were disappointed and asked why we weren’t notified. We also found out a group of 15 behind us went through the same thing. It was pretty tense through the resort. - we still have not gotten our money back But we did enjoy the beach everyday and the cabana. Read less
