Clean, friendly resort. Service was super. Jessica, server on the beach was excellent! Beach chairs always available. Clean pools. Good food. Only negative was seaweed so thick you could not enter the water. Not the resorts fault.

Review Dates 5/19-5/24 Environment ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ We loved how small and intimate the resort was. It’s my understanding that there are only about 350 rooms on site. We definitely were not at capacity during our stay. Not once during our visit did I have to wait for anything (including the elevators). I’d argue I never saw more than 20 people in the adult side pool at a time and that the family side was also easily accessible. The aesthetic of the facility could use some modernizing, but we saw signs of them making such improvements while we were on site. Of course, as mentioned time and time again on this thread, the beach front was unusable for the duration of our stay. It’s a natural problem this time of the year that they work hard to remedy. The second to last day of our stay I would say that they had it about 95% cleared, but when we woke up the next morning it was like they had not cleared anything since we had arrived. I definitely don’t think this merits a resort change, especially considering the reports I’ve seen from other facilities mirroring the same problem. The resort may need to be upgraded, but it was certainly not “dirty” by any means. We had room 318, which is right above the Desires bar. This made for a lot of loud noise at night because of the DJ parties beginning at 11pm. I was also slightly upset that I could not ever seem to get the fridge in the room to chill properly. I can say we felt 100% safe in the gated community, despite all the current travel advisories. Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Let me preface this by notating that we are not adventurous eaters. This was the first all inclusive experience in Mexico for many of us in my party, so we weren’t really sure what to expect. We stayed away from what we knew we would not eat, but were able to find something on each menu that we enjoyed. I cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed the room service. I highly recommend trying a bacon, pepper, and cheese omelette. It comes with a side of bacon, which apparently is a commodity at the resort and presumably in Mexico. I also recommend trying the chocolate souflee for dessert at Portofino. Burgers and pizza were of average quality. Drinks were easily accessible and always tasty. We liked the Chi Chi, mango tango, and strawberry daiquiri. It’s vacation, grab yourself a drink, or 6, and grub on. 🤣 Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff were top notch from arrival to departure. They were always polite, friendly, and courteous. They undoubtedly make the resort what it is. They are quick to greet you in the halls, by the pool, etc. It is evident that they enjoy what they do. The room was always clean. There was some variation in the times of cleaning and turn down services which was odd, but I chalk that down to everyone in the resort being on different schedules, sleeping patterns, etc. I have absolutely zero complaints about service. I’m terrible with names, but otherwise would take this opportunity to give them shout outs. Entertainment⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So, I personally did not make it to a show until the last night of the trip. I am kicking myself for not attending sooner. The magic show was phenomenal and left me mind blown. My family reported they also enjoyed the comedy show. You can check the app (unlimited connectivity) or the resort TV station to see what is going on each day. Side note, streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu do not work internationally. They streamed the series finale of Game of Thrones live on our day of arrival in the garden area on the big screen which many seemed to appreciate. I also saw them host a kids movie on the beach front. Overall⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would absolutely recommend this resort to friends and family based on the price we paid. The resort size, layout, and service are perfect. I would definitely recommend visiting this time of the year if you don’t have children or don’t want to be surrounded by children during your vacation. I simply took off one star due to the lack of a swimmable beach this time of year, but like I mentioned above, that is outside of the resort’s realm of control. I agree with all of the others who have mentioned that your experience will be what you make of it. I did not let my research of the resort and others negative experiences taint my perception before arrival. If I had, I feel like I would have changed my reservations and missed out on the experience all together. Read less

This hotel received 6 gold stars on Apple vacations and the same on trip advisor. Why? There were junky lamp shades in our room. The food was ok. The entertainment was top notch though. The beach was awful. There was seaweed everywhere. The pool was nice but closed at 9. Why? It was the only thing to do at night. We had a “dolphin room view”, but… Read more

We enjoyed this resort and are pleased with the staff. My only issues were that there wasn’t much entertainment in the evening and the pool was not as clean as we would have liked. Lots of black mold especially around the swim up bar.

1st I wanna start by saying I'm a club member. I paid a lot of money to upgrade to the privilege section and was also told when checking in that I could bring couple people up to this floor with me. 2 days in a row I had to have William be rude to me both times I have gone up there I was asked what room I'm in because I had people with me. Not one other person was asked what room they were in when they walked up here felt like we were being picked on. One reason I booked the privilege toom is because it has premium alcohol however they have not had my grey goose vodka in the past 2 days so not really sure what I am paying for anymore. I will write a different review on the actual hotel at a different time Read less
