Nisbet Plantation Beach Club

Nevis, St Kitts and Nevis

The hotel

Sometimes it’s the story behind a setting that makes a place special. Sometimes it’s the setting itself. At Nisbet Plantation Beach Club, it’s both. It gives you the rare chance to stay in a historic area on a Caribbean beach (a spot where Horatio Nelson met his future wife, Fanny) – so you get all the bygone beauty of The Great House, with all the barefoot beauty of a sandy beach with hammocks for two. And, connecting the two, the stately Avenue of Palms sweeps down its 30 acres of lush gardens, which are dotted with 36 little cottages, leading you to treats like the 75 foot freshwater swimming pool, ocean-facing hot tub, The Palms Spa, the casual seaside dining and rum punch parties of its beach restaurants, and the fine dining and elegant afternoon teas of The Great House.

All of our meals were delicious, but the breakfast is to die for and was among the best we have ever had. The resort is very clean and comfortable, and we can't say enough positive things about the staff who knew our names ever before we arrived! A special thanks to Angella for the wonderful service, and to Tim for stimulating conversations and a walking tour of area. Barely a week goes by without mentioning to each other how much we enjoyed our vacation to Nisbet. We highly recommend it! The Duffy's Read less

Everyone went out of their way to treat us like an old friend or family member. We were relaxed and enjoyed good food and drinks. We stayed 3 days in Nevis and 3 days in St. Kitts at the Park Hyatt. We would choose Nisbet Plantation Inn without question over the Park Hyatt based on service and atmosphere. It was so lovely and we hope to go back again in the future. Read less

Nisbet Beach Plantation was warm, welcoming and very relaxing. The beach was beautifully clean; pelicans were a daily pleasure to watch. The staff were extremely friendly! The food was amazing and the great house dining, in the house that belonged to Nelson's wife, Fanny Nisbet was a pleasure every evening.

While Nisbet Plantation Beach Club is on the Atlantic coast of Nevis and was windy on most of the days of our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food was fantastic and the staff were wonderful. It is more than likely that we will join the ranks the returners who seemed to make up a quarter of the guests when we were there. We feel that this simple fact says it all. Thank you Tim and all the staff for a truly great relaxing holiday. Read less
