Ocean Terrace Inn

St Kitts, St Kitts and Nevis

The hotel

It’s all about the island experience at Ocean Terrace Inn – a place where Friday nights are spent dancing to the sounds of steel drums and indulging in souse roast pork, salt fish and dumplings, and curry chicken at the weekly West Indies Buffet. But, this is the Caribbean, so doing absolutely nothing’s also on the table. The curvaceous lagoon pool’s the setting for most of your lazy days, with its waterfalls, swim-up bar, and palm trees completing the hotel’s tropical look. And lazy nights are best spent gazing out at Basseterre Bay and Nevis from The Verandah’s wraparound deck as you dine, or feasting on seafood grills at Fisherman’s Wharf, a restaurant set on a Caribbean Sea-skimming pier. If you do desire a bit of action, you’re just a hop from Basseterre and complimentary shuttle trip from white sandy beaches.

We were greeted very nicely the first night and given a thorough tour of the facility. The place was very clean, and all the staff was friendly. The room was very comfortable. Both restaurants were very good! We were very happy with our accommodations!

I found my room (suite) very spacious, including the bathroom, bedroom, sitting room, and balcony. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, and the balcony had comfortable furniture to sit on, and the bathroom had two sinks, and a good hot shower. The sitting room had a comfortable couch without any lighting or coffee table so did not function as a good place to sit and work/read. There were no lamps near the bed, so while you could use backlit phone/ipads, you really couldn't read. The room was very clean and quiet and there were good door bolts for safety. Overall I had a good stay and would definitely stay here again! Read less

Good value. Restaurant has very tasty breakfast and good coffee. The rooms are a bit of a chore to find and LOTS of STEPS with no elevator so request some assistance for your bags. The ocean/pool view was nice and the bed was comfortable.

A bit late with our review but had to complete. We spent 2 weeks at this hotel. It was appropriately located for the town centre and ferry crossings to Nevis. The staff were polite and attentive. Fishers mens wharf always served food to a very high standard as was the breakfast at the restaurant on the hotel site. We would like to name individual staff who went that extra mile with us but couldn't really name staff who didn't. From the groundsmen, restaurant staff and reception staff they were always trying to please us. A nice touch was the managers free cocktail evening which gave us the opportunity to meet the manager. They even set us up to have our final evening meal upstairs at Fishers Wharf. We travelled for the music festival which was amazing. Taxi driver Simba was a reliable bonus. I would definitely return to OTI. The room was clean and over looked the pier. Perfect. Very enjoyable stay in St Kitts. Advice dont always use travel reps for excursions. You will end up paying dearly for the privilege. Read less
