Ocean Terrace Inn

St Kitts, St Kitts and Nevis

The hotel

It’s all about the island experience at Ocean Terrace Inn – a place where Friday nights are spent dancing to the sounds of steel drums and indulging in souse roast pork, salt fish and dumplings, and curry chicken at the weekly West Indies Buffet. But, this is the Caribbean, so doing absolutely nothing’s also on the table. The curvaceous lagoon pool’s the setting for most of your lazy days, with its waterfalls, swim-up bar, and palm trees completing the hotel’s tropical look. And lazy nights are best spent gazing out at Basseterre Bay and Nevis from The Verandah’s wraparound deck as you dine, or feasting on seafood grills at Fisherman’s Wharf, a restaurant set on a Caribbean Sea-skimming pier. If you do desire a bit of action, you’re just a hop from Basseterre and complimentary shuttle trip from white sandy beaches.

Great place to stay! “OTI” is a must if you’re headed for St Kitts - and worth a stop just to stay there. Be sure to make your way down through the terraces and gardens for some fabulous food & friendly staff at the fisherman’s wharf restaurant:)

Stayed here on a lay over in St. Kitts on the recommendation of a colleague. Property is nice, staff were very professional and helpful. Had to navigate several stairs to get to my room, staff helped with my luggage as there didn’t appear to be an elevator. Room was lovely—wished I could have stayed, longer.

As a west indian I was disappointed because we don't skimp on food. and you have to pay for breakfast. Read less

I am not sure when the renovations on the hotel were done, but it looks much better than the last time I was there. The signs for directions on the grounds are a little confusing. Fisherman's Wharf was a disappointing place. When we went to it, it appeared to be closed as there were no lights on and they were out of certain things. Although I… Read more
I am not sure when the renovations on the hotel were done, but it looks much better than the last time I was there. The signs for directions on the grounds are a little confusing. Fisherman's Wharf was a disappointing place. When we went to it, it appeared to be closed as there were no lights on and they were out of certain things. Although I am not handicapped, I wonder what a person would do at the hotel if they were as I don't remember too many ramps and a lot of stairs. The staff did a wonderful job with my friend's birthday party but the AC was broken in the conference room and made a lot of dressed-to-the-nines guests uncomfortable. Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful but some of them need a course in guest relations. Our room was clean and the hallway had a wonderful smell like some perfume. I would love to know what that scent was! Loved the huge balcony. Read less
