Timothy Beach

St Kitts, St Kitts and Nevis

The hotel

If you’re going to laze on any beach in St Kitts, Frigate Bay’s Caribbean-washed shore is the one to pick – and Timothy Beach Resort is the only hotel to grace its golden sands. It’s not just the only hotel on South Frigate Bay Beach, it’s also plumped for the best spot on those sands, right by a natural snorkelling reef, rich in fishes, and a stroll from the Atlantic beach. Making the most of its beachside setting, most rooms have a sea view (although the lawn-facing rooms often get exciting views, thanks to visiting vervet monkeys). Life here is about simple relaxation, mainly played out on the sands or at the oceanfront pool – except on Sunday nights, when the resort buzzes with a Caribbean buffet at Sunset Café, and reggae bands playing by the water’s edge at Dock Bar.

Bed was firm but housekeeping brought me 3 blankets to fold and put on my side of the bed. Hubby was fine. Hotel was close to many restaurants and walking distance to a grocery store and sports bar. The view of the ocean was lovely too. Beach is small but does the trick as it is shared with the restaurants. Pool seemed nice. Food was average. Breakfast needs improvement. Servers were either shy or not interested in serving you. The front desk people were amazing. Laurel and her team make sure to take care of all your needs. Laurel herself goes above and beyond to help. She is a great asset to the hotel. I would definitely stay there again. Read less

Our views were of the bay, the ocean and mountains, but from a distance. Perfect. Even though at the end of the buildings, we still heard the nightly music. From the “strip” or the park. We enjoyed the pool almost every day. As well as the beach. Enjoyed lunch and dinner and a few Caribs at the restaurant. Food good, reasonably priced. Sometimes wait was long, and always dirty tables left untouched for a significant time. No rush to clean up. Walking distance to other restaurants, coffee shop, grocery store.only negative was had to walk luggage to far end of resort if no car. Office staff and room service staff always very pleasant and helpful.. grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Shout out to their crew! Read less

Always excellent service and friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Children friendly too. Very good value. Can see good sunsets from here and the ‘green flash’ if you are lucky. Can also mix drinking with fishing off the pier.
