My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights. This hotel is off the chart. All the staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We requested early check in and they accommodated by upgrading our room! Rum punch or Fruit punch at check in, either is the perfect greeting to paradise. The location is well located for exploring Bequia, as it is on the Belmont walkway and minutes from numerous local restaurants. As mentioned by others, the beach and pool have no shade but the rest of the property is dotted with trees and shaded areas. There is always security around and they keep random people from entering the property as well as helping with luggage or striking up a friendly conversation. It was shoulder season when we visited with not many guests, but there were many workers available if we needed anything. The front desk was informative and nice. They provided us directions around the island and set up a taxi for our departure. The WiFi was spotty at times, but it never went out for long and there are other plenty of other locations nearby with WiFi. We ate at the restaurant three times and enjoyed our meals immensely. They even have Iced Coffee! The hotel grounds are well maintained and gorgeous. We stayed in the Beachfront Villa and it was spacious, clean, well lit, and well designed. Very beach chic with a Caribbean vibe. Sitting on our porch overlooking the harbor was like looking at a painting. This hotel is perfection in paradise and a place we will stay at again. Read less

My wife and I had a fantastic week staying in the main house at the Plantation hotel. Booked through Just Bequia/ Grenada holiday company. The room was excellent and met all our needs (if I was picky it would be nice to have some decent coffee/ pod coffee machine rather than that terrible Nescafe instant stuff). Great view onto the harbour bay with a nice deck/ terrace (where my wife liked to work out some mornings). room was cleaned every day with fresh towels (including beach towels). Reception staff were pleasant and helpful (sorted out a water taxi and offered advice on banking etc). We were on B&B basis and the breakfast was very good with just enough choice (again if I was picky then providing a bit more fruit than just one very small slice of what was on offer would have been nice...as we are in the Caribbean a few slices of mango/ papaya or Pineapple would have been good). Staff in restaurant were lovely and we had a few good laughs with everyone. Location wise the hotel is spot on...near town down the Belmont walkway and a short walk to Princess Margaret beach/ Lower Bay. I also swam around the point...just need to keep any eye out for the small boats. Always a few sunbeds to sit on after being down the beach. Limited shade but you could easily sit by a coconut palm. I didn't really spend much time at the pool or use the watersports stuff. Staff overall very nice and happy to bring you drinks to the sunbeds. Guardsmen nice guys and always had a friendly word with us. We ate lunch a couple of times and one dinner (on arrival). Food was good and plentiful (Chicken roti very nice). We ate out in the town on every other night (Macs, Fig Tree, Papas place, Cocos place, Sugar Hill)...all very nice. Mostly went to Lower bay for the day and ate at De Reef or Keegans (perfect location and lovely lunch). We also ate at Jacks the once but a bit more pricey and they also wanted $40US for two decks chairs there when you get two chairs over at Keegans for $20EC. Overall a lovely hotel and stay in Bequia and we shall be back. Read less

They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Great Location, very close to the harbour and Princess Margaret beach. I also stayed here for a week whilst my villa was getting some maintenance work completed, such an enjoyable stay. The most helpful staff I have encountered, the ladies at front desk could not do enough to make my stay extremely comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Can't recommend it enough and excellent value for money with a delicious breakfast included. Also now has a sister property on the island called the Liming ! Read less

The hotel couldn't have a better location between the best beach on the island and a strip of restaurants and the harbor. It also has a small but perfect lagoon. The hotel couldn't have a better location between the best beach on the island and a strip of restaurants and the harbor. It also has a small but perfect lagoon. It's not private and people walk through it but it didn't bother us and gave us a good feeling of no segregation, as locals also used the beach. You can walk everywhere or swim, or kayak, or take a water taxi. There's also a terrific floating bar within minutes from the hotel. The houses are also lovely. We've met the owner - a nice and very kind gentleman. It pains me to give it this rating but our room was not ready when we arrived even though we arrived a day later due to a flight cancellation (they were aware of that and we still paid for that night). It took them 9 hours to find a shower curtain and a phone chord for a room phone, it took 7 reminders and 11 hours for the extra bed that was requested months ago. The restaurant service was clueless, the food uninspiring. Tuna ceviche I've ordered was off and I sent it back but it still appeared on my bill (corrected after the 3rd attempt). The room was fine and the beautiful thing was its location steps from the beach. But there's no shade for the lounges. There were just 4 guests but all of us were trying to find a spot with at least partial shadow from a palm tree. The only hammock had a huge hole in it. Water equipment consisted of 2 paddle boards and 1 single kayak - we were told double kayaks are leaking. The pool is sad and also shadeless. But the saddest part was the staff complete indifference to any guests needs, from offering help with your luggage to asking a simple question of how things are. We asked for a late check-out (the hotel was virtually empty) and were told the price is $10/hour. It's small things like that that make you want to return to the place or recommend it to others... or not. I'd love to return to this location but definitely not to this hotel. Read less
