The hotel

In a secluded bay, overlooking a beach regarded as the most beautiful on Phuket, this is certainly an idyllic holiday choice. Hotel information

518 rooms and suites are spread throughout the Bhuri Wing and Thani Wing. The Bhuri Wing is home to the 183 Deluxe Rooms and has its own lobby and pools. The Thani Wing is situated along the beachfront and all suites are in this wing and face towards the ocean. All rooms and suites have air-conditioning, LCD TV, IDD telephone, mini-fridge*, tea/coffee-making facilities, safe and hairdryer.

Deluxe Rooms are located in the Bhuri Wing and have a private balcony overlooking the pool with 1 king-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Grand Deluxe Rooms are also located in the Bhuri Wing and are ideal for families. Rooms feature a large balcony or terrace and a sliding door to separate the bedrooms.

174 spacious Junior Suites are located in the Thani Wing and have balconies or a terrace with an ocean view, overlooking the swimming pools and gardens.

The Oceanfront Junior Suites are in the Thani Wing close to the beach and have sublime sea views.

Grand Suites are in the Thani Wing and are well appointed in the Ocean Building with separate living room and bathroom with luxurious oversized bathtub.

All suites have 1 king-size bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Daily shuttle service* to Patong and Phuket town (advanced reservation is required).

Beautiful resort I would definitely stay here again! They clean the rooms on a daily bases so you always have fresh towels and a made bed when you get home from being out all day exploring!

Accommodation was great, prices in the beach resort were higher than surrounding facilities. Staff are all fabulous and helpful. Such is the heat that sunbathing is almost dangerous. Consider trips to surrounding places to break up your time. Surrounding resorts easy and cheap to get to.

As someone who has avoided the” all inclusive” thing for most of her life, two kids and middle age got the best of me and we booked the Katathani. The hotel facilities were great- lots of pools, a few restaurants and even massage ladies walking around the grounds, the only buzz kill was the paper booklet that had to be taken everywhere to be marked off each time you ate & drank (not sure if this was just a luxury escapes thing or a hotel-wide policy?). However, after a bit of getting used to, it didn’t ruin the holiday! The kids club was probably suited to younger kids (ours are 8 & 9) however, there was usually an activity that took their fancy each day which meant a few hours of kid-free time and we still got to spend most of the day together. The hotel had a lot of staff and all requests were actioned quickly. The beach was probably one of the best I’ve been to in Phuket and runs the entire length of the resort. The area around the resort is quiet in comparison but you can take a 5 min taxi ride to Kata for more action if you require it. Overall I would say I was pleasantly surprised by the Katathani! So much so that I would book again! 4 stars only due to the paper booklet otherwise would have been 4.5! Read less

Outstanding place! The people are super friendly and helpful. Facilities are A1. Many places to eat and numerous pools to relax around. Plenty of daybeds too so everyone can use. We have the poolside room and would totally recommend these rooms.
