It is a very nice hotel. Room is decent size, nice view, very clean. Lounge is big, nice food, very good services. One day, we go to the lounge, and see some muffin with fruit flies. (Around 1pm, no staff) It is in downtown, close to everywhere. Metro, bus stop etc.

Evening appetizers and breakfast in club room were well stocked with good variety. Breakfast was the best I've had at a Marriott property in the last 5 years. Valet parking was reasonably priced for a city. Starbucks in lobby was convenient. We will return to this property on future Montreal trips. Read less

We recently had 2 more perfect stays at the Le Sheraton Montreal in December for the Crystal Cirque De Soleil and in March for the Disney animation.      Both stays were absolutely flawless!!! We wanted to celebrate the holiday season with our friends so we booked two rooms. Unfortunately, our suite night award did not go through in the system. Ms. Luisa Campisi was again the miracle worker and she was kind enough to change our 2 reservations into a suite with a connecting room. The girls were so thrilled and ecstatic with the experience!!!      Just a few weeks ago, we went to Montreal with friends and the staff at the front desk was kind enough to upgrade us to a medium hospitality suite on the 7th floor so the kids can play together after a long day in the city. This absolutely made the trip for all of us!!!      Time and time again, the Sheraton has been our go-to hotel and we look so many more outstanding stays in the future. Everyone is just perfect from check in, unlimited in and out parking for a small fee, the executive lounge on the 37th floor, the pool, the view and all of the other amenities!!! The area is perfect, easy access to everything in Montreal. We have stayed at so many Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, misc brands in and around Montreal and this exclusive property continues to be our favorite. Thank you Ms. Campisi and your fantastic staff for the hospitality and so many great memories!!! Read less

I really want to like this hotel but I'm convinced they only hire front desk staff that has been fired at least twice from other hotels. Location, rooms, hotel services are all great. It's the staff that make it unbearable. I purposely always try to use digital check-in just to avoid the desk. However, at check out, the majority of times I need to separate the expenses and room charges on to two different credit cards. It can be confusing at first explanation, but I'm happy to patiently assist any employee through the process. 9/10 times it goes smoothly. Most hotels know exactly how to do it and don't need any guidance and the one that do have it done in a matter of minutes. It's the ones that become easily frustrated and show a bad attitude that give the desk a bad name. This hotel is guaranteed to scoff, huff and sometimes yell and such a request. They act as if they know all and everyone else is just wrong. Seriously, why is it so bad here? 4 out of my last 7 stays I have encountered the most miserable front desk anywhere in the world. Because of a secured rate, at times my company uses this hotel and I have no say in it. I know I'll have to return and I dread each time I walk in the doors. Oh well. Read less

Superb location in downtown Montreal, close to everything and seconds from the Centre Bell. Clean, quiet, modern room with abundant outlets and USB ports. It takes a minute to understand the controls for the shower, and strong fingers to effectuate them, but hot water is then instant and plentiful. Terrific linens and towels. Attentive staff: front desk, concierge, housekeeping, bell desk, maintenance. Access to elevators controlled by key-card. Lovely 18-meter indoor swimming pool. Starbucks attached to the lobby is open late, which is wonderful. The unfortunate aspects are minor: - There is only a single drawer in the room proper, and one small one in the closet under the safe: no real dresser, no shelf under the bedside table. - Convenience store has hours more limited than we would expect, and there are no vending machines for snacks. - Lobby restaurant has a limited menu and intermittently slow service; side salad is tiny and arrives underdressed. - Signage for hotel check-in for guests driving in is sorely lacking: if one tries to park in the 15-min zone in front of the front door of the hotel where it appears logical and where rideshares and taxis are dropping visitors off, one is immediately accosted by parking police and shooed away. One is eventually directed around a corner on a one-way street, where there is a sign for a paid parking garage, but, again, nothing indicating hotel registration. Once in the correct location, though, the staff was terrific. Underground parking has VERY tight corners and incredibly narrow parking spaces, but appears very secure. Read less
