The hotel

A veritable castle in the heart of the city, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is an impeccable symbol of indulgence and pedigree. Offering the luxury and services of a world-class hotel, all guest rooms are beautifully furnished with every attention to detail observed. Facilities include a state-of-the-art health club, accessible 24-hours a day, with indoor heated swimming pool and saunas. Pilates and Yoga classes are available at the Sitka Studios or treat yourself to some well-deserved pampering at the Absolute Spa. There’s also some prime shopping in the lobby with designers stores selling plenty to tempt you! Although you’re close to plenty of restaurants and bars in the downtown area, the Fairmont’s very own Notch8 Restaurant & Bar is the ideal place to relax and watch the world pass by. Named after a train’s top speed, achieved only by the most skilled conductors, the restaurant pays homage to the hotel’s storied history and legacy as a luxury hotel along the Canadian Pacific railway. A traditional afternoon tea is also served here daily — for a special occasion, add a glass of champagne or, if the kids want to tag along, childish delights include Bubblegum Tea, fresh strawberries and cream and a giant chocolate chip cookie!

Usually we are Fairmont fans but this Fairmont let’s the brand down. Staff were not as friendly and helpful as at The Chateau, The Empress and the Fairmont Waterfront hotel where we had great experiences. Bathrooms tiny, old and dated. You could have knocked a nail in with the French bread at breakfast as it was so hardly…clearly not fresh.… Read more

Dogs at concierge are cute and give a friendly feel to the place. It’s a great location but we won’t be staying again. Read less

My spouse, young child, and I had a very enjoyable weekend at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. The quality of the room, hotel amenities, food/room service, and hotel location were all excellent.

Always a great stay! We love this hotel for our local date night staycations! The location is perfect for shopping and dining in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Location can’t be beat! And service as always impeccable! We love the hotel bar as well. Great for a night cap.

Wonderful stay for our family of 4. We had a spacious room and it was clean and quiet. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful and my kids loved the little scavenger hunt. We had requested a crib when booking, and I called a few days ahead to ensure it was noted on our booking but it wasn’t in our room upon arrival (which also was several hours passed our 1 year olds bedtime). It took a bit of chasing to get it but we finally got it about an hour after we arrived. I wish it was in our room upon arrival. Otherwise our stay exceeded our expectations and we will be staying again in the future. Read less
