Lovely small hotel, friendly receptionists, Great little pool (approx 15m x 8m) 75m across the road from the beach, 7mins walk to the Gap where there are loads of great restuarants and bars, although there a bars with food under 1 minute away 🩷🩷 Ignore the Negative comments, some people just love to moan !

We were so pleased with Time out that I am booking with them again next year. Please do not be put off by a few bad experiences, this hotel is a perfect budget hotel. Read less

Im writing this review from my sun lounger - A lot has changed since I last came to Barbados, hotel is good for location, nice 5 min walk away from all bars & restaurants. Rooms are ok, basic but has everything you need, lots of storage, powerful shower, tea, coffee facilities, hair dryer and even iron & ironing board. House keeping ladies were lovely always making sure we had what we needed, ie fresh towels & toilet roll, but I wouldn’t say the rooms are cleaned to high standard. All staff are really lovely and welcoming within the hotel, pool area always being cleaned and washed down during the day, plenty of sun beds, we haven’t once needed to get up early to claim any beds. We booked bed and breakfast, well never again… the breakfast is probably the worst I’ve ever had, eggs are hard and rubbery, scrambled are over cooked and grey, only seen bacon once & sausages a few times during our stay, there is 1 toaster for the whole hotel that only cooks 2 slices each time, only 1 juice option, no fruit, no yogurt, no croissants or pastries, & only 2 cereal choices, the other morning we even had to drink out of plastic cup as they had ran out of glasses. On the 1 day there was bacon we were served it as we were only allowed 2 pieces each!! I was told this morning that once the food runs out that’s it, it’s all gone! So if you do not get down to breakfast at 7.30am you’re not getting all that’s on offer… ridiculous!! Having paid for bed & breakfast id expect all items to be on offer at any time during the breakfast meal times!! St Lawrence Gap, if you’re coming with children there is not much choice with very limited children’s menus, we have struggled to find something that suits everyone, since being here. We absolutely love McNaughtys Irish bar, food is really nice and the cocktails lovely, plus DJ Gaz has the place rocking! On the Bay another really lovely place to eat, food was absolutely delicious. Bubba’s (short taxi) something for everyone. A must is the Tiami catamaran day, absolutely fantastic, we swam with turtles, string rays and lots of fish. The crew were brilliant making lots of jokes and giving us lots of facts about the island, included lunch, all drinks plus alcohol and freshly baked cakes. Music was blaring and everyone was up dancing, it was a great day out!! Overall Barbados is absolutely beautiful but I’d definitely suggest doing your research on restaurants etc before coming with children. Read less

I had a staycation booked for my daughter's birthday so as it was a celebration my 1st question was a birthday plate or any celebration that can be done for the birthday girl. My first disappointment was front desk telling me they don't know and they would have to check as the hotel is owned by someone else and the restaurant has a different owner. Checked into My room, I had a pool view so that was a plus to my daughter. I called Amigos to ask about the birthday plate for my daughter once again the girl said she doesn't know and I told her to ask management. She then came and said yes they do however the hotel is full and it is short notice . I had to ask how is it short notice when I only arrived and checked in today. This service is very different from what I have seen and know from other sister hotels. However when going to the pool I never saw anyone or was never told where I could get my towels for the pool from besides the ones assigned to my room. On my way to my room I asked house keeping while she was in the stairway for fresh towels she asked my room number I told her 320 she then gave me directions to my room which I knew where it was already but never received the towels. Let's not talk about breakfast. My 1st day on breakfast there was scramble egg, fry egg, mushrooms, sausage and I'm not sure if it was mini pancakes or bakes as there was no signage to tell you what was being served. The whole breakfast was dry and displeasing. However on my last day which was Tuesday breakfast had a few more items and a bit better just instead of having glasses to drink from we then had to go to the bar for plastic cups. Time out was a 1st and definitely a last for me and with poor breakfast options I ventured outside for my other meals. Staff could be a bit more pleasant but as my daughter is still a child she give you guys a thumbs up for her pool time. Read less

After small teething problems that were immediately sorted we had an amazing time at Time Out Hotel The management are so professional Immediately responding to any problems The house keeping staff do an amazing job also. Room cleaned to a very high standard every day with clean white fluffy towels Nothing is too much trouble Our room was quiet overlooking the playing fields, lovely to see local children and adults playing sports Beautiful Dover beach just across the road Great local restaurants over the road. More expensive restaurants further down the gap It's good to have a choice of restaurants. Already planning to come back Thanks once again to you all! The only one thing to say is that the rooms could do with fresh paint We appreciate this is difficult as they are open all year round We are already planning our return! Read less
