The hotel

Anyone can stay on a beach in Mauritius — but the prime location of Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa will make your stay that extra bit special. Set on a sweep of lagoon-washed sand, the resort is also framed by preserved mangroves. In the marine village of Azuri, you get to immerse yourself in the cosmopolitan village life and experience the beach and island activities all rolled into one. Passionate about design and attention to detail, the resort offers contemporary interiors, such as an inviting lobby with iconic shell chandeliers, oversized headboards in spacious guest rooms and many more. Guests always stay connected with complimentary WIFI throughout the hotel, including the beach. Of course some things reflect the ‘pure beach retreat’, like your balcony or terrace; the ocean and infinity pool option among its four restaurants and bars; and the al fresco activities like water sports, sunrise beach yoga, and mangrove kayak safaris. Guests have also access to activities and restaurants (with credit) at the adults-only sister hotel Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa with the 'Blu Passport Concept' — a unique offering full hotel interchangeability with complimentary inter hotel transfer to enhance your holiday.

Reviewed 2 days ago We stayed for 2 weeks as a family in the hotel on an all inclusive basis. The staff here are second to none and go way above and beyond to make sure you have an incredible stay. Both the restaurant and bar staff really excelled and are an absolute credit to the hotel. Parts of the hotel could maybe do with a little refresh but to be honest, it wasn't really an issue. The grounds are beautifully kept. I'm an early riser and would always see the grounds maintenance team working hard before 5am. The food was good, different themes in the buffet restaurant each night. We also tried the other 2 restaurants on site and The Nine. All were brilliant. Drinks were plentiful and a good selection! Watersports were great, kept the teenager happy and the staff there were very helpful. Housekeeping was regular, cleaned well and we always had clean bedding and fresh towels. Mini bar stocked daily with beer, water and juice. There was a cyclone while we were there, something we've never experienced before, but the staff were amazing. Kept us informed throughout and made sure we had what we needed. And it only really affected 1 day of our holiday. I would absolutely return to the hotel. And I would go again in January. Yes, it was hot and humid but I don't mind that so much. The air con in the room worked perfectly and the pool or sea was always there if we needed to cool off. The breeze was also very welcome! Great room (first floor Garden View with the sea in the distance). Good food. 80% of service was good (Andan and colleagues at The Nine were excellent, and the receptionist with the glasses - Sheikh - sorry that’s probably spelt wrong - was lovely and very helpful) The hotel grounds were beautiful and maintained very well. We were able to use the facilities at other Radisson Blu hotel which offered a better alternative beach. On the (slight) down side for us the Beach at Azuri is man-made and during our stay it was quite windy so the boat to the swimming / snorkelling platform wasn’t available most of the time. (We preferred the beach at the sister hotel as you could snorkel directly from the beach) The area opposite the pool (away from the bar) which overlooked the sea but had no beach access - looked a little in need of some TLC. The pool was often busy during our stay with no available sun beds so we tried the gym pool this was a much quieter alternative, a few areas of this pool appeared to need a clean - although the water was lovely and clear there appeared to be some algae buildup in places. When we checked out - our final bill was more than we expected - when I asked for details I was simply told that it was what we’d signed for but no further details were given to us - I would have preferred an itemised bill. Overall we had a great holiday and felt the all inclusive package at this hotel offered excellent value for the rate we paid. Thank you very much for a wonderful holiday. Read less
