We came to this hotel to get married and it truly was perfect.
The resort:
From the very moment we stepped into the beautiful resort, we were greeted with nothing but smiles and warm welcomes. The receptionist, Vincent was very attentive and catered to every request we had during our 7 day stay.
The rooms are very modern and well maintained. The cleaners were on hand everyday without fail and the turn down service was a bonus.
We were on the all inclusive package (I would definitely recommend this).
The food was absolutely amazing! I’m a big foody and didn’t have one bad meal. We were also able to visit restaurants in their sister hotel, La Pirougue and even indulged in a BBQ beach night at Magenta (for a supplement). However, we found ourselves going back to Buddha Bar restaurant for the great food but mainly because of the lovely service from Anjily. She was super attentive and always put a smile on our faces. Thank you Anjily!
There was so much to do in terms of entertainment from the water sports, to tennis etc. However, our favourite spot at the end of the night was Buddha Bar where we were able to unwind to live performances every night from exceptional musicians on the island. But most importantly, the bar staff were amazing. Thank you to Nimay, Imal and Tristi ! Extremely hardworking and always made sure we were seen to.

Our wedding:
Now I’ve saved the best till last because this trip couldn’t have been the fairytale it was without her. Akshita went above and beyond for me. I had contacted her last year about the wedding and she has been available for me ever since. This was much to my surprise given that it was only the two of us and we weren’t having any guests. I really wasn’t expecting this level of care and attention but Akshita delivered.
As soon as we got to the hotel, Akshita met with us to welcome us. We met again the next day to sort out the details. This was nerve racking for me because it didn’t seem like much time but Akshita was reassuring every step of the way that I was going to get the wedding day that I wanted. She even arranged for our room to be changed to a room in the Manor House which would be closer to were we would be getting married on the beach. She was also happy to incorporate the little special touches and use things that I had brought for the day. On the morning of the wedding, there was heavy rain and thunderstorm. Of course I was panicked as the wedding was due to take place on the beach. But somehow Akshita was able to reassure me about the weather without me even having to ask. We even ran into some trouble as the officiant had got into a traffic accident on the way to the hotel. Thank goodness for Akshita who was able to call the the civil office to arrange for another officiant to come.
When I say Akshita was there every step of the way, she really was. She even went as far as lacing up my dress for me. Having Akshita there truly felt like I had all my friends and family there and for this, I will forever be grateful.
To my surprise my partner who I thought was getting ready on his own in another room, had the pleasure of being accompanied by Mithilesh! Like Akshita did for me, Mithilesh really made him feel at ease and like he had a friend in such a life changing moment. Thank you Mithilesh!
Both Akshita and Mithilesh will always be in our hearts. Thank you for making our special day perfect! It was really great getting to know you and hopefully see you again next year!!
