The hotel

Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, leading down to a lovely 1.5km beach, the Veranda Palmar Beach is great for those seeking tranquil surrounds. There are plenty of water sports to enjoy too, including diving, sailing and fishing. For the less energetic, the golden beaches are a perfect haven for sunbathing. The smiles and generous attention of the hotel staff contribute to making this a popular choice of hotel. Our family of four stayed here in April for 12 days. We can’t really fault the hotel and the friendly staff. The beach is beautiful with lots of activities set up by the entertainment team if you would like, volleyball, patanque etc.. The food was very nice, lots of similar dishes each night, which was ok, also catered for the children with chips, burgers, pizzas, nuggets, if requested. Thank you to Rahul and his team. Suren was a star.. very helpful, very informative and all round nice chap would make sure you always have a drink in your hand. He also made us feel welcome for our dinner on the last night at the Horizon bar which was an additional cost but worth it. We spent most of our days on the beach with the most stunning ocean and views. We did go out to Flacq Market and on a boat trip, both recommended, especially the boat trip where we fed monkeys. This can be organised with the sellers at the beach. Finally, Sharlene, the leader of the kids club, was fantastic with our 7 and 5 year old, she kept them occupied for an hour or so every day which allowed us to have some peace!! We will sure miss this place and will definitely come back for more soon. Thank you to all of your staff and the lovely welcome and hospitality received during our stay. Read less

From the moment of arrival to the sad day of our departure, we were treated as family at Veranda Palm Beach Hotel. We were 8 guests altogether (all family), and had a wonderfully time altogether. The food were wonderful and plenty, the drinks and Cocktails strong and plenty😄. There were lovely entertainment for kiddies and adults alike. Our rooms were neat and clean; the overall look and maintenance of the hotel is very good. The Pool is lovely and blue, the Beach is cleaned on a daily basis. If you are looking for a budget hotel, this is the one.😄 Daily excursions can be organised, and taxis are reliable and the drivers very friendly. Our whole holiday were very enjoyable, the scenery is out of this world, and lastly... I do have great respect and admiration for the Mauritian people, very very friendly, with old fashioned courtesy. We do hope to visit in future. We opted for the All Inclusive package, so we did not spend a lot of money on necessities. The majority of us only took R1000 with us, we are South Africans, and it was more than enough. Lovely lovely Maurituis 💝💝💝 Read less
