Great location is about all. Very tight room. No space or storage. Great staff who could empathize. The Elevator situation was a constant struggle - neither going up nor coming down was easy. It was a struggle!!! Breakfast was quite a spread, but being very crowded , one could never enjoy breakfast!!! Better to opt out of it as it is on the house.… Read more

Central location was great. Room was small but convenient. Beds ok. Airco was very noisy. One big minor was breakfast. Very poor food quality and even worse, way too busy. People were fighting for a table. Some brought their plate back to their room. Very annoying. Elevator rush hour between 830-10am where no elevator could be used going down. We… Read more

Pros: Staff are so friendly, Joseph the concierge was super helpful and nice. Hotel is very clean, they serve a nice breakfast, proximity to TimeSquare and subway lines was ideal, room/bed was super comfortable and as quiet as you could expect in NYC. Cons: There is a new transitional housing/shelter that is across the street from the hotel. Although there is often a group 40-50 people people standing out front, the police are also stationed there from about 4pm through the night. We never, ever felt unsafe but some might find it unnerving. The elevators are a huge issue in the morning. They are fast elevators, they just don't manage the demand. You can easily wait 10+ minutes for an elevator down. We were on the 16th floor and the elevators would already be full, then when you did get in an elevator you would stop at nearly every floor with people hoping to get on. We took the stairs down a few times because it took so long but obviously that's not a good option for some. If we stayed there again we would request a bottom floor or a top floor. Breakfast is super packed, if you have little ones you will likely struggle to find a table unless you are down there before 8am. All in all, we would stay there again. Read less

Overall, I had a really good stay. The location was perfect. I was in the center of everything and I was able to walk to all the activities that I had planned during this trip. I was curious as to why people were always congregating across the street from the hotel, and when I asked the staff, they said they didn’t know either but there was a good police presence, security was always in the lobby and overall I did feel safe. I did stay on a lower floor after reading the reviews about the elevator, though I did like how there was a digital panel to tell you what floor which elevator was on, so that was helpful. The rooms were typical for New York and perfect for me by myself. The lobby decor was gorgeous and unique. The only thing I wasn’t happy about was breakfast, there wasn’t a big variety to choose from, but I was grateful to have something to eat in the mornings during my stay. The staff were really nice, so I would stay here again. Read less
