Late review, we went last July 2018 as 2 couples. The staff was great and we were upgraded to a beautiful room. The drinks were delicious, breakfast service was a little slow but nothing bad. The beach is across the street and per the local law no drinks etc there but that is not the hotel itself. Overall good stay, would recommend

Recently stayed for a long weekend and thought the property was great. It has a younger vibe and the party can go quite late. The Saturday Pool party while not for everyone was fun. Our stay was from April 30- May 5. Everyone is so friendly. Especially Raul Lopez, Director of Guest Services. He treats us like family. He takes care of every last detail. No one knows the property and the surrounding area better. The rooftop pool has the best weekend party on the beach. DJ starts at noon. We love Steak 954.… Read more

Where to begin. I am staying at this hotel right now and unfortunately have a few more days here. Cons ( a lot): If you are a Marriott Titanium rewards member do not expect any upgrades or for that matter even what you are entitled to ( I will be requesting my $100 because they didn't offer me what I am entitled to). For example, I put in to use the suite upgrades months ago. I did not find out until the day before check in with an e-mail saying they were unable to honor the suite requests. Had I known earlier, I would have cancelled the hotel. Then when I checked in I asked about the breakfast. According to Marriott's Terms and Conditions, I am entitled to a breakfast for myself and one quest if you are Titanium. The person who checked me in said they only offered a $25 off the total bill and made it sound like the $25 would not get us anything so was not worth it pushing instead to take the points. The $25 is not what I am suppose to get. I am suppose to get breakfast for two. He then said they upgraded my room to a better view. See comments on the room below. The rooms are bizarre and extremely uncomfortable. The bed is the most uncomfortable bed I have even slept in at a Marriott. There is no box spring, just a mattress. Many reviews talk about the bathrooms but you really don't know what to expect until you get here. I have no idea what they were thinking when they designed these rooms. There is no door to the bathroom, just a glass door to the small toilet area. There is an extremely small bathtub shower combination that is old and has seen better days. I don't care how close you are with your spouse, friends, partner whatever, everyone want's some privacy and you won't have that with this bathroom. The walls are paper thin and I could hear every word, every sound coming from my neighbors next door which kept me up most of the night. There is no place to get coffee in the morning until 7am when the Mexican restaurant opens. The pool is extremely small. Way to small for this size hotel and it is not very resort like. For the $40 in resort fees they add on to your room per night, I was hoping for a real resort. At most resorts they at least offer some specials like a bucket of beers for a some what discounted price. Not here. The hotel is not even on the beach. The beach is across the street. At check in nothing was explained on how or if they set up chairs for you on the beach (it is a public beach). Again for the $40 resort fee I assume you at least get a chair on the beach. I will find out today. The beach is public so not a private resort beach and there is a lot of seaweed on the beach. Does not look very inviting right now. You need your key to work the elevators which is a hassle if you are carrying coffee or whatever. From the reviews, I expected the location to be a little closer to restaurants, etc.. There really is nothing close within a short walk. You would have to walk for some distance or take an Uber. There is no refrigerator in the room expect for a "mini bar" so you can't bring your own drinks/food and keep them cold. The room includes a little expresso maker with shot glass size cups so no real coffee in the room. Pros Most of the people I encounter in the hall way and other areas are friendly and always say hi, good morning etc.. Bottom line, I would never stay here again. There are so many other better choices. This hotel can't come close to the Habor Beach Club or even the Courtyard or many other great hotels close by. The $40 resort fee is more than the Harbor Beach club which is right on the beach (private) and has a very large pool. I am not sure how they justify the $40 resort fee. I can't even get a cup of coffee before 7am. Go somewhere else. Read less
