Please was clean and rooms were ok. Needs some updates. Staff was helpful when needed. I would make sure to get a room up as high as you can. Had dinner at Steak 954 and was great. Highly recommended.

W Ft Lauderdale is expensive but plush in prime season. They have a very good staff, large comfortable rooms., and its not snowbird season. I got a $25. day pass, which comes with free parking, beach & facility & restaurant. WET Deck is also included, thats a lounge chair at the roof top, with towel, pool, DJ, bar (pay for drinks).

We went to The W Ft Lauderdale to celebrate my wife's birthday. We visit Ft Lauderdale every year for this event, and stay at different hotels, but this year was truly one of the best times we have had in recent memory. This was largely due to the "over the top" efforts of the staff at the W, in particular Raul who welcomed us when we checked in, and Viergina who communicated with us even before we arrived. Our reservation was supposed to give us just a normal resort view, but we were first upgraded to a partial ocean view by Viergina, and then Raul found us a full ocean view room on a high floor, which was fantastic, and much appreciated. Viergina subsequently sent my wife a personalized birthday card and bottle of wine. Both of these actions made us feel especially appreciated and made my wife feel really special. Great service and a super stay! Our sincere thanks to a couple of great employees! Read less

I did not stay at the hotel, but we spent the day at the beach where we rented chairs and umbrellas. We had a great time and Brian the beach attendant was very helpful, we will surely come back to this location.

My daughter, grandson age 7 and I decided to try the W for our summer get away. We read many reviews and spent quite a while selecting a room. The hotel was aware we would be arriving about 8 pm. Upon arrival at 8:30 we were told the room we wanted was given away. The staff was very nice and showed us 3 more rooms to choose from. We did end up with a nice but because of the room situation we ate at 11 pm at the Mexican restaurant. The food was very average and very expensive. Today is our first day here. The beach was very nice. Loved the chairs and umbrella included with the room. Then we went to the pool. We ordered lunch which again was average and expensive. The pool area was so crowded, with loud music and young adults acting very inappropriately. This hotel allows locals, for a fee to spend the day here. This is very unfair to the hotel guests. We honestly thought this hotel would be comparable to the Ritz Carlton. Don’t be fooled it is not!! We will be going back to the Marriott Beach Place Towers about 1/2 mile down the road for our next visit. Read less
