I was recently at this hotel for a company conference. The location of the hotel is perfect and right on the ocean. The entire staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Everyone really seems to enjoy their job. The front desk staff (Angela/Paulette) also has excellent knowledge of local restaurants. Can't wait to return again next year.

Our one bedroom studio with king bed on the 6th floor with an ocean view was just great and extremely well appointed. The bed was super comfortable and the bed linens and bathroom towels were soft - not all the usual starchy hotel type linen. The kitchen area had a full sized fridge with ice maker, 2 burner stove, microwave and a dish washer and was well equipped. There was a tv in both the living room and the bedroom. The breakfast they offer each day was just great with lots of choices and the staff very friendly. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights they offer a social hour with free food and beverages. The pool is great with lots of seating and lots of towels. And there is even a covered seating area for those who want some shade. The pool and hot tub is opened until 10 pm. They have a bar which is open at various hours during the week and offer food as well which I was told was quite good. The hotel is right on Daytona Shores Beach and is close to a few restaurants and grocery stores and mini golf and it is a quieter area. Honestly, this was just the best hotel we've stayed at and we travel quite a bit. Thank you so much to all the staff for treating us so well. We will definitely be back to stay at this hotel and will be sure to recommend it to our friends. Read less

We are returning customers and it has always been clean and the staff is very nice and friendly. The breakfast is very accommodating and the evening socials are also a very nice added touch. They helped us even when our flights were all messed up.

Dave gave my husband like a squegee thing to push the water into the drain after each shower. Was disgusting.Maid service was not cleaning shower because they would have to step in two inches of water....seriously not sanitary....... Dave at the desk was arrogant about this....I wrote personally to Marriott and sent the video and wAter tool they gave us to sweep the water. Dave knew of this room why do you rent it out???? Another thing was I thought let's had another floor or? Was I staying in a pet room our next door neighbor dog ba died for hours in the early mo rning....... Hey Greg you the manager you seem to be brushing off people's problems in the reviews. Maybe your the problem.....I'm not done with what we had to endure on our anniversary stay. Read less

From the time we checked in, this hotel was a disaster. They placed us in a handicapped room directly off the elevator. I am a lifetime Platinum member and my profile says AWAY from elevator. From the time we checked in, this hotel was a disaster. They placed us in a handicapped room directly off the elevator. I am a lifetime Platinum member and my profile says AWAY from elevator. So when asked, the front desk guy said" Oh no one looks at that". Great. Way to go with customer service. He offered to move us the next day as no other rooms were available. In the morning, i wore flip flops into the shower because it was so dirty. But it gets better - NO WATER PRESSURE. I'm talking you can't even get wet or get shampoo out of your hair. I had to get out and rinse my hair in the sink to get shampoo out. Room 306 is disgusting - dirty, fraying carpet, water stains on ceiling. I cannot believe Marriott allows this property to wear their name. In our new room, 505 there were napkins shoved under the dresser being used to shim it up. Really? We asked for a manager every day - each time were told no one was on site. So we emailed him twice and asked him for a call back. Which never came. His name is Gregory Teagarden. If he sets the customer service example, I see why the hotel is struggling. The day they moved us they could not find our stored luggage. Front desk told us they didn't have it (we had left it with Dave in the morning) but now it was no where to be found. Luggage was finally found - but it just added to the stress of this place. Then to boot, they switched the rate for the last night we stayed. So I am disputing with Marriott. Its a great location, but will find another property as this one is too dirty and has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in a Marriott. PS THE POOL WAS FILTHY. I wouldn't let my dog swim in it. Forgot to take pictures to share with you. Read less
