We stayed in the Grand one bedroom suite, with ample space to host a party. The ocean view and two balconies were great, as well as the kitchen and two bathrooms- one with an enormous large tub. **Downsides include the noise from the outdoor restaurant below** that lasted until late at night and started early for breakfast with unusually loud guests. In addition, the AC/fan is in a closet right next to the bed and very loud. I was not impressed with the pool, very small and situated next to a parking lot with a cheap lattice dividing wall. The hotel has a strange layout requiring walking outside to get from one building to another. The only rooms that would not have noise from the pool/restaurant would be facing the parking lot. The seating in the living room and patio was not as comfortable as I would expect. Lots of good restaurants and shopping in walking distance. I would stay here again, but not for the price we paid. We stayed here a few years ago when it was transitioning to IHG. While very comfortable, we had several issues, one being the front desk staff treating us like second class citizens. We stay in Vero at least twice a year, visiting family, and since then we’ve stayed at Costa d’Este mostly. Over a 40+ year period we’ve stayed at nearly every hotel on the beach at one time or another. For a birthday/Thanksgiving family visit, I decided to try again. This visit was much better but not perfect. We were greeted in our room with a nice note with a 2 large bottles of water and a cheese platter, a delightful way to begin a vacation. The front desk staff was very attentive, and shout out to Marisa and Brittany for being ever so helpful. I requested a 2 room suite. I had a relative who stays here frequently call me to give tips on staying here, and kept telling me “you don’t want to face the Spires.” I didn’t realize she was talking about the high rise condos next door, and, indeed, we spent 9 days “facing the Spires.” I had a foot injury that kept me from walking much, and really would have appreciated staying in the main building with less walking. We had what you would call an ocean side view. You could see it from the patio, way out, and the shore line was blocked by the Spires swimming pool. I have never stayed on the beach with such a poor beach view. Even our last stay was a corner oceanfront view. They were full for the holiday and there was nothing to be done with what we had. I called several times before we arrived in an attempt to let the front desk know I was temporarily disabled but no one answered and the messages I left were not returned. The good: The suite was 3 rooms and laid out nicely and quite beautiful. Rooms were roomy, a huge bathroom with 2 closets, tub and shower, and full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash that all smelled delightful. We had large TVs in all rooms (3 total), a 3/4 full kitchen, a dining area facing the patio, a living room, and all very private. We enjoyed the Keurig coffee maker. There was a small separate suite with its own bathroom; one of our kids came for a few days and was very cozy in there. However, the sofa bed wasn’t comfortable. Tried sleeping on it as a couch and still wasn’t comfortable. On my birthday someone came up to our room with a delicious slice of chocolate pie, a bottle of wine, and a hand drawn birthday note. Points for creativity on the note, that gift was another unexpected and luxurious touch. The Orchid Spa was awesome; I was given a “Spa Day” by my family and enjoyed it all immensely. We didn’t eat at Cobalt, but have eaten there in the past, and it was an amazing meal. There are disabled parking spaces out front which made it more convenient for us since we were in a side building; unfortunately the valets didn’t inform us of that advantage for 24 hours. As soon as they saw our sticker they should have let us know. Since they parked the car 2-3 times there was no way they could have missed that. I credit that to greed and apathy on some of the valet’s part. The bad: We were directly above a path to the pool. Part of the hotel was undergoing construction. We were closer to the parking lot than we would have liked, and heard street traffic. I also heard what sounded like jackhammers (it was hard to be sure because I couldn’t quite see exactly where the noise originated), and a digging machine traveled that path back and forth, all day, nearly every day.. While at the Orchid Spa I saw what was making so much noise, the machine. It was very noisy even with our suite patio doors shut, and I ended up with a headache the last few days. There were guests directly below us who came onto their patio shortly after the machines stopped for the day who were very raucous and loud. I know that can’t be helped; along with the daytime noise it wasn’t as quiet as I would have liked while in the room. Housekeeping - very busy and professional yet accommodating. I noticed the shower walls were slimy and could have used a clean with a squeegee, and the shower didn’t quite drain all the way. The ugly: our first morning I went into the living room, headed to the kitchen to make coffee, and heard a cry. I stopped in my tracks - it sounded like a dog or child in the hall. Oops it wasn’t in the hall but directly behind the living room sofa. Made it feel like a cheap apartment. I didn’t realize the walls were so thin. At least it wasn’t behind our bed! All in all, it was a very good stay that could have been excellent but for the location of our suite and the construction that went along with the location. I would stay here again and give them another chance to make things right. The suite itself was excellent. There was much effort from the front desk to make it as pleasant a stay as possible under the circumstances, and that didn’t go unnoticed. Thank you. Read less

Nice Hotel, but the rooms are not as nice as other Kimptons. The gym is very small. While the location is great and the pool area is nice, it’s a party hotel and not a great place for young families. During our stay, we paid for a King Premium Oceanfront, and got stuck next to the party suite. The first night was fine. The second night of our stay, the people next door were loud, but we dealt with it. After a very loud third night with drunk people yelling next door for several hours, we asked to move. The front desk was kind to move us to the same room one floor down. Success? Um, no, not really.... The third night in our new room, we got stuck next to ANOTHER party room. What are the odds? Electronic dance music, knocking at doors, people coming in and out—a full on college dorm party next door. Went down to talk to the front desk and they said that they would “call and then send someone up if it didn’t quiet down.” Kept the TV on all night to sleep. Next night, starts again. Knocking on doors, loud music, yelling. Went down again to complain. This time it quieted down. At $700/night, for a 5 night stay, I expect more. We come every year to celebrate the holidays with my in-laws who live in Vero and next time we will stay at Costa d’Esta or Airbnb a place. At the very least, if you decide to stay during a big holiday week, DON’T pay more the the King Premium with Beach view—its next to the suites which seem to be used for partygoers. Read less

This was our first trip to Vero beach, the last week in October. All the staff were friendly and extremely professional, best ever experienced. We vacation at the beach for the beach enjoying all day. This Kimpton Inn is seriously just a few steps from the ocean. The umbrellas/beach chairs are included, with fantastic service even beach chair covers and towels. They set up early in the morning and don’t rush you off at the end of the day. Our room was the king ocean front, very nice room with a separate living room area. Our balcony was truly ocean front and private..so nice we ordered take out and had an ocean front supper. We ate at the bar area of the Cobalt restaurant twice, this was top notch food and service. There is daily wine tasting in the lobby which we enjoyed one evening. The resort and surrounding area felt very safe. Melbourne airport is about an hour drive but scenic/low pressure. Read less
