So many positives but so many negatives as well. Would never stay here again. I travel for a living professionally. Spending 3-4 nights a week in various hotels (crew airline) around the world. Check-in was fabulous with a sincere welcome from the front desk associate named ADAM. The room was older but well refurbished and very nice. The balcony was large and the initial sound of the ocean was stunning. TV's were just 32 inches but with the Atlantic Ocean steps away, you should be outside and not watching TV. Where the hotel totally fails is that they take the beautiful ambiance of the pool, poolside bar, ocean, beach and chaise chair areas and bring in a DJ with loud and intense music (mostly rap), playing it so loud that guests must vacate the area. By 9:00PM, the DJ quits but the hotel goes 100% dark, lights out, bar closes and that's it. Not a single light on; not even for safety near the pool. We had to go back to our room, close all doors and try our best to deal with the loud music at poolside until the hotel closed it's public areas at 9:00PM. Food/dining was ever so sub-par. Mistake after mistake. We were told the restaurant was third-party operated and not owned by the hotel. You'll do much better walking down the street to a restaurant called Mulligan's or Ocean Grill (both very good). The restaurant/bar was staffed by young adults; without customer service skills at the bar or restaurants. Otherwise, the hotel staff was stunning. It's a sub-standard managed property much to my regret. In my opinion, it is one of the best resorts in Vero Beach until you realize that the property does all it can to downgrade the overall experience for its guest. Two-three stars at best. Based on poor management. Read less

We stayed on a Thursday night while on our way South for a weekend event. We planned to arrive early and leave late making the most out of enjoying the beach and pool for 2 days. We arrived at the front desk just a little before 1:00 and they were able to accommodate us getting right into our room. The front desk staff was great. Our room 208 was beautiful with a separate living space a few steps down from the bedroom with a sofa, 3 chairs, 2 ottomans, wet bar, table and TV. The table has a pop up leaf and with the 2 chairs it makes the perfect place to enjoy room service. The bathroom has a rollaway wall which allows you to access the deep wall bathtub from the bedroom and watch the bedroom tv while laying in the tub. With a couple squirts of the full size body wash included in the shower and I had a lovely bubble bath. The balcony is large with two comfortable chairs and a small coffee table. Our room overlooked the pool. The balcony’s beach front do have a full size table for eating. The poolside restaurant is nice with plenty of shady spots to grab a bite to eat while watching the waves roll in and plenty of TV’s in the bar area playing the days sports. Hamburgers, quesadillas, salads. Standard pool side grub and tasty. The beach is just a few steps off the pool with attendants to set up your chairs, umbrella and table. There was not drink service on the beach on the Thursday we were there but the bar is not a far walk. The pool is beautiful with plenty of water features making a relaxing cascading sound. Love the Kimpton style of terrycloth chair covers and plush pool towels. A separate hot tub is in a cute plant partitioned cove on the pool deck with a waterfall cascading into the hot tub. The water temperature was perfect and relaxing. We ate dinner at the Cobalt restaurant on site. We wanted to sit inside and it was a tad hard to find the entrance to the restaurant from the inside of the hotel, so we entered from the pool deck. We then found that we should have gone through an exterior door leading off the library area on the 1st floor. The Cobalt is nice. The inside is very comfortable. The night we were there there was a blues type singer in the attached bar which could be heard throughout the restaurant. The entrance to the White Orchard Spa is right next to the entrance to the restaurant and the fresh spa aromatherapy can be detected in the restaurant. The music, the aroma and the decor all set the environment for very relaxing ambience. We had an appetizer, I had scallops and my husband had the fresh catch which was red fish. Both came with a salad and a side. I had one glass of moscato and I believe my husband had 2 beers and we had desert. Our bill was $125 before tip. I would say be prepared to pay for the experience. There is a gas fire pit over by the Cobalt side of the pool deck which we had planned to sit by after dinner and we were surprised to find it was already turned off around the 8pm hour. The pool deck has beautiful hanging lights all over and we were also surprised to find these not to be turned on nor the pool lights on at that time. Not sure if this was because it was a week night, but our room was beautiful enough to keep us content for the evening. Breakfast room service was quick, delicious and hot. We packed up and checked out of our room taking advantage of the locker room and stayed through the early afternoon by the pool. The valet put out suitcases in our car. The locker rooms have programable lockers where we stored our day bag. There are showers including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, towels and a hair dryer. Bring a bag for your wet bathing suit. Hated to leave this great hotel in a great location and we hope to be back. Read less

We stayed for 8 nights and we had a wonderful time despite being put in a cave of room with just a tiny window looking into the hallway. The room was large as was the bathroom and was nicely appointed however not having a window to the outside had the effect of feeing like we were living in a cave. Originally I had a one room suite and then was moved to an interior room and was not given a refund for the downgrade because they said they were the same price. Anyway we would go back but we would never stay in an interior room again so unless u don’t mind caves be wary. Next topic the hotel is very pretty and close to orchid island - shops and restaurants. The pool is very pretty but small capacity for 30. Finding a pool chair can be challenging so get up early and reserve ur spots. The pool is on the beach which is lovely. The food is actually very good be it room Service, Colbolt restaurant or the pool food. Also the staff are very very nice completely pleasant. The hotel had a lot of “homey” touches like a book lending library and board games that people Could help themselves. They have evening wine at cocktail hour in the lobby every day since I can’t drink wine I didn’t participate however if it was vodka I would have gone lol. If you are looking for a small boutique beach hotel in a small but lovely town then this is your place. A few other comments the hotel Provides beautiful bath products we really enjoyed them and I ordered some From Kimpton when I got home. Also regarding the pool many people rudely played football in the pool with complete disregard for others - my daughter was hit three times by a football 🏈 one in the head! The stupid family doing it didn’t stop So we moved our seats. the Kimpton needs to enforce some policies around the pool like no inflatables - the pool is way too small and it is dangerous in terms of being able to see kids who may be having issues and need help Also no throwing balls in the pool. There is a huge beach that people could use to throw their stupid footballs around which do really hurt when the hit you (sorry pet peeve) Also they should hire life guards as so many stupid parents left very small children unattended In The hot tub and pool. As a former life guard and pool Supervisor I am always shocked by stupid parental behavior around pool Safety and children. Read less
