Postcard Inn on the Beach

St Pete Beach, Clearwater and St Pete

The hotel

Hip and most definitely happenin’, Postcard Inn on the Beach remains true to its surfer-cool, 1950 motel roots. U-shaped with an impressive swimming pool and a grove of mature royal palms at its core, it joins a new wave of stylish hotels at affordable, bound-to-please everybody prices! No two rooms are exactly alike, although all have vintage furniture, flat screen TV, high-speed Internet access and murals or a photographic collage of all things surfing-orientated on the wall. Try some regional American fare for dinner at the Stamps Lobby Bar and Restaurant. There’s also a beach bar and snack shack down by the ocean so you can grab a drink and a hot dog whilst soaking up the sun. Downtown St Petersburg is a few minutes away or spend time at the beach, indulging in a variety of water sports, including that all-important surfing!

Jeremy and Marilyn were so entertaining and amazing hosts. I normally don’t sign up for free tastings because I assume they are trying to sell me something but to my surprise this was different. They created a party and was very informational in a fun way. Cazadores and the St Pete beach local beer “Voodoo” were my favs. I highly recommend. … Read more

Took a break from the pool to take part in the Beer School hosted by Jeremy and Marilyn. Both were great hosts and entertainers! The drinks were delicious and the group was so fun. Would highly recommend them and the Postcard Inn.

I mean it you guys- do not do stay here! Long story short (but continues to be a saga), we checked in, our room keys didn't work, got them fixed and found our room. Our room was overlooking tons and tons of dirty laundry. I had called days before to ask about room location and was told we were in a lovely section that was quiet. Ok.....not lovely. When we open the door to the room, first thing we see is a lampshade that is busted and holes in the desk/dresser. We are trying not to panic yet. However, going to the bathroom we found hairs on the toilet, the sink, all over the bath tub and walls. There was scum around the shower walls, tub drain, and bath sink as well. Next to the bed, someone's braid and hair were laying on the floor. Obviously this room was not cleaned- or at least properly cleaned. My husband decided to go ahead and shower only to have standing water in the tub that would not drain. That was our last straw and he went down to reception and spoke with Shawn. We were informed no other rooms were available. We said we could not stay in a room like this and Shawn apologized but because we booked through hotels.com, he could not issue a refund until his GM approved it through hotels.com. There's still no way I am sleeping in this filthy room so we leave and go two doors down to the Hilton (which was amazing and the same amount of $). I call hotels.com and am told that they will contact the GM for me and work to get my refund back. We also emailed the GM of Postcard Inn personally and sent photos showing evidence of the condition of our room. We received an email saying he would look in to it and despite us continuing to contact him, he will not respond back. However, Hotels.com did respond back to us saying our refund is being denied. UNACCEPTABLE. We also were charged the resort daily fees and incidentals despite the fact that we did not spend one single night here. I highly recommend you avoid this location when there are much better choices for the same price. Read less

My fiancé and I rented a poolside cabana for the day and it was simply amazing. Ashley Tripp was our server and she was a 15/10. She worked so hard all day with a sincere smile on her face, had great vibes…just all around awesome. Jeremy was also just as awesome. Everyone was so accommodating. We loved it so much we rented a day bed for tomorrow!
