We visited this hotel in July on our summer holiday as a family of 6 with 4 children. It is located right on the beach and a short from John’s Pass which is a very lively restaurant hub. We had a 2 bedroom suite so 2 people had to sleep on the sofa bed in the main living area. If there are 5+ people in your family I would recommend going for a 3 bedroom suite as the sofa bed was not the comfiest. The apartment was kitted out with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier and iron. We also had a balcony with a fabulous view of the gulf coast beach. The pool was sufficient and a perfect temperature. There were plenty of sunloungers and a number of shade umbrellas. In the morning it was quite quiet but as the day progressed it got a lot busier. On two occasions a group of Americans were blasting extremely loud music round the pool - so loud you couldn’t relax, concentrate reading a book or even so much as have a conversation. We informed the reception three times and they brought the security out who told them to turn it down but once they left the rowdy group whacked up the volume again. I feel that constant monitoring is necessary once they receive a complaint as the raucous group around the pool did not have any consideration for other people who have worked hard all year and spent thousands of pounds travelling halfway across the world to relax only to find loud music blasting round the pool. Disregarding the music situation, on a whole I would really recommend this hotel. They have assigned parking for cars with shelter to prevent from frequent rain and thunderstorms. The lobby staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. I really enjoyed my stay here. Read less

We were very impressed by the cleanliness of Sunset Vistas! The condos, the grounds, the hallways and the pool were all spotless! Great location close (1/2 mile) but not too close to Johns Pass. Great pool with lots of loungers and tables with umbrellas. Tiki bar with refreshing drinks. Gulf facing balcony for relaxing morning coffee. Washer and dryer was a plus! The only negative we found were some dirty dishes. Nothing the dishwasher couldn’t fix! Read less

After decades of staying at motels on Treasure Island, we wanted to try someplace new and were coming down with my parents so a place with two affordable rooms, or a decently priced suite would be ideal. My parents had stayed at another smaller place two years earlier but because we have one child, a room there that could accommodate all 3 of us was nearly $200/night! So we found the Sunset Vistas and chose to stay purely based on Trip Advisor reviews. A gulf view 2BR suite was an excellent price for us to split. Thw kitchen and living areas are more than enough space for all 5 of us, our son had the entire pull out couch bed to himself and my husband and I, and my parents had our own bedrooms. The bedrooms are a tad small BUT I'm only sleeping there so no big deal. I'd much rather have larger living areas. I love that the balcony has access from both the living room and master bedroom. When we are in the area we tend to get the basics for breakfast and lunch and then get dinner out, but it's nice to have the restaurant right on site for when we run out of lunch food! We don't mind not having housekeeping every day because to us this is more of an apartment than a hotel room. Extra towels are available whenever you ask if its between scheduled housekeeping. Ideal place to split with another couple or if you have a larger family where a standard hotel or motel room won't be able to fit. We will definitely be staying here again in the future! Another plus - a MUCH shorter walk to the beach than we had been used to! :) Read less

We had a pack n play for our two year old, we made it fit but had to move furniture Could be cleaned a little better- first appearance looks clean but after a few hours we noticed some little things. Our feet were dirty from walking in the room, needed a mopping and vacuum. Had to move furniture, dirt and food were under it. Used oven next day and it smoked from previous droppings from last use. Dryer had a ton on sand in it. We overall enjoyed our stay but think we would only go back if we got a better deal money wise. Read less

This was part 2 of a special family holiday in Florida, which included our 6 year old granddaughter. We wondered if she would be disappointed after a fun packed week in Orlando, but she was delighted with the beach and pool - as we all were. Checking in was quick and friendly, and we found the apartment was all we needed as a family including having its own dishwasher, washer, and dryer. Throughout our stay stay we had contact with were friendly and helpful. We loved St.John's Pass choice of shops, bars, and restaurants, just a 10 minute walk, or $10 Uber. There were other good bars, restaurants, takeaway places a short drive south or north. Leaving the negative until last because our complaint was resolved promptly and efficiently within an hour, and did not spoil our overall enjoyment at the resort: soon after arrival we noticed our bare feet were rather dirty indicating a dirty floor. In addition some of the crockery and glasses were not clean, with 1 glass even having a lipstick mark. After a call to Reception, the Quality Manager was at our door within minutes, and very apologetic, followed soon after by a cleaner who mopped the entire apartment, and provided clean crockery. Good responsive service. We would stay again. Read less
