On arrival we were given a voucher for one free drink per person (including alcohol) at the Tiki Bar during our stay, discount on umbrella and cabanna hire and 10% discount on meals at the restaurant over the road,. There are no other restaurants nearby, although there is a coffee bar serving food on site where we ate breakfast and dinner. The Tiki Bar has live entertainment but we didn't hear it in our room. The beach is beautiful white sand and there are some large shells to be found. Pelicans fly by and one day there was a dolphin in the water. Everyone gathers here to watch the sunset. The beds were comfortable and the rooms very clean with a fridge and microwave. There are two chairs outside each room and although we weren't beach front we got a glimpse of the beach from here. It is motel style with people walking past your window to get to their rooms, but it didn't bother us. Read less

Fantastic place to stay & relax and even conduct a little business on the laptop (they have wifi). Read less

Great beachfront property at affordable prices. Rooms were clean and the starff was very helpful. Loved the tiki bar and the tropical drinks. Great patio area to just sit and soak up the sun while having tropical drinks.

First I want to tell you that we have been visiting this resort for the past 6 years. Now they have NEW MANAGEMENT and its not working out well. First of all the bed that we slept in was horrible, we all woke up with terrible back pain. In the morning when we got up our room was flooded. Maintance did come in right away. the air conditioner did not work well at all. I think they adjusted them because I heard other guests complaining about the same thing. It was hot and we could not use the covers because it was so hot. But the worst of it was not that. the worst part is that they have a lovely deck with tiki huts where you can sit and talk and hang out. Well apparently they want everyone in bed by 10pm. First they have now placed timers on the lights so at 11pm lights are out! We were sitting out there talking and hanging out, you know "VACATION".Someone from the office came up to us and said it was 1:30am and we all had to go into our rooms! I asked if we were being loud and she said no, so we asked why we had to go into our rooms we are on vacation? that really made us pretty angry. then we were having a party on the deck the following day and got accused of underage drinking! We were told if another complaint came in we were going to be asked to leave! that was the last straw, the only thing that had occurred a few minutes earlier was our 20 year old son was bringing a bear to his dad and was stopped by a waitress who asked for his id and since he didn't have it on him he put the beer (that was unopened) back in the cooler. that escalated by the front office lady to having multiple complaints about underage drinking! Oh my God we were ready to leave at that point! then they close the pool at 9pm (REALLY 9PM!) this looks more and more like a retirement home than a vacation spot! Most places let you swim after hours as long as you are not making noise! NOPE not this place! 9PM you can not get back in the pool with your room key it is LOCKED! bottom line if you want to be on vacation don't go here! WE WILL NEVER BE BACK AGAIN!. Read less

This is our second time visiting The Outrigger and have been very happy both times. The resort itself might be a little dated, but they have done a nice job of updating the rooms. We had a family of 5 with a 2 queen with sofa pull out and we have plenty of space and the beds are very comfortable. Good size and very warm pool. A huge beach for the kids to run and play. Unfortunately, we arrived right after a big storm and the beach was a little nasty...this is nothing the resort can control. We have no need to look anywhere else when we stay in Fort Myers Beach! We love The Outrigger! Read less
